Chapter 13:Master Steele After Ruby Leaves

William Steele stood near the entrance of Fantasy long after Ruby and Olivia disappeared through the front doors.

The rain had finally stopped outside.

The city lights reflected against the wet pavement while the quiet hum of late-night traffic drifted through the distance.

Still He watched.

As if somehow she might turn around.

She didn't.

Eventually the black SUV carrying the women vanished into the darkness.

And William felt something He genuinely disliked.

Disappointment.

The realization irritated Him immediately.

He was a man who controlled outcomes.

Controlled emotions.

Controlled impulses.

Yet the thought of Ruby leaving had settled heavily somewhere beneath His ribs.

That had never happened before.

Attraction?

Certainly.

He'd experienced attraction hundreds of times.

Desire was easy.

Desire was simple.

This wasn't.

Because what occupied His thoughts wasn't Ruby's beauty.

Though God knew she possessed enough of that.

It was the woman herself.

Her curiosity.

Her intelligence.

The way she listened when people spoke.

The way she watched scenes looking for trust instead of pain.

The way she challenged Him without realizing she was doing it.

He wanted to know what made her laugh.

What movies she watched repeatedly.

What she thought about when she couldn't sleep.

What dreams she carried quietly inside herself.

And that realization was far more dangerous than attraction.

Because attraction faded.

Connection did not.

William exhaled slowly and turned toward the private elevator.

The third floor awaited.

Unfortunately...

So did reality.

The elevator opened directly into His executive suite.

Dark marble floors gleamed beneath soft amber lighting while floor-to-ceiling windows overlooked the sleeping city below.

His office occupied the center of the executive wing.

As expected, Master Damian was already there.

The muscular man lounged comfortably on a black leather sofa with a crystal tumbler of vodka in one hand and his feet propped onto a polished steel coffee table.

"You look terrible."

William rolled His eyes.

"Good evening, Damian."

"That's not a denial."

Damian grinned.

William removed His jacket and draped it over a nearby chair.

"I assume you stayed because you're nosy."

"Correct."

Damian lifted his glass.

"So?"

William poured Himself a bourbon.

"So what?"

Damian laughed.

"You spent four hours talking to her."

William froze briefly.

Four hours.

The realization still seemed absurd.

He sat opposite Damian.

"I like her."

Damian nearly choked on his drink.

"That's your big revelation?"

William glared at him.

"You know what I mean."

The humor slowly faded from Damian's expression.

"Yeah."

Silence settled briefly.

Because they both understood exactly what William meant.

Damian had known him for nearly twenty years.

He'd watched women fall for William countless times.

But he had never seen William become genuinely interested this quickly.

"You want to know her," Damian observed.

William nodded once.

"Yes."

"And?"

William stared out toward the city skyline.

"And that concerns Me."

Damian laughed.

"There he is."

William shot him another look.

"You know exactly why."

"Because feelings are messy."

"They complicate judgment."

"They make life interesting."

"They make mistakes expensive."

Damian shook his head.

"You built an empire, William. Not a prison."

The words lingered.

Because part of Him knew Damian was right.

Their conversation shifted toward business.

As it always did eventually.

Damian opened a secure file resting on the table.

"We have another issue."

William sighed.

"Which company?"

"Vantage Holdings."

Of course.

William immediately understood.

One of his commercial real estate investments had become the target of a hostile acquisition attempt.

For the next hour the two men reviewed projections, shareholder percentages, voting strategies, and countermeasures.

Hostile takeovers never truly surprised William anymore.

Success attracted predators.

Fortunately, he was far better at the game than most people.

By the time the meeting ended, Damian looked satisfied.

"They're not getting your company."

"No."

William took another sip of bourbon.

"They aren't."

Eventually the conversation returned to Ruby.

Damian smirked.

"You sent the dress already."

William ignored him.

"The shoes arrived too."

"There it is."

"What?"

"You're smiling."

William absolutely was not smiling.

Damian's grin widened.

"You picked everything yourself."

"I have standards."

"You spent forty-five minutes choosing earrings."

William stared.

Damian laughed harder.

"You've got it bad."

William decided not to dignify that statement.

Instead He looked out the window again.

Friday.

The thought alone improved His mood.

Dinner reservations had already been secured at one of His favorite restaurants — private dining, exceptional wine, impeccable service, and complete privacy.

No club.

No distractions.

Just conversation.

He wanted to hear her talk.

Wanted to watch her become comfortable around Him.

Wanted to discover if the chemistry between them remained as powerful outside Fantasy.

And afterward...

If she felt comfortable...

Perhaps He would invite her back to the club.

Not for anything dramatic.

Not yet.

A quiet private tour. His thoughts came back, Sure a quiet private tour, who is He kidding?

A conversation.

Maybe a glimpse into parts of His world few people ever saw. "Really, just a glimpse." He would maintain Control.

Slow.

Intentional.

Exactly as it should be.

After Damian left, William remained alone in His office.

The city glittered beyond the glass.

His phone rested on the desk beside Him.

Nearby sat one final package waiting for overnight delivery.

Smaller than the others.

Elegant.

Wrapped in black tissue paper inside a silver gift box.

Provocative.

Inappropriate.

Simply beautiful.

Refined.

Sophisticated.

Chosen specifically because it reminded Him of her. He wondered if she'd be daring enough to really wear it.

A final surprise before Friday.

William looked at the package for a moment before closing the lid.

Then He smiled.

A rare, genuine smile.

For the first time in years...

He was actually looking forward to a date.

  • The Master's Club   Chapter 1: An Introduction: Master Steele

The rain always seemed to fall harder on the nights Fantasy opened its doors. From the street, the building looked forgettable. A plain structure tucked between aging warehouses and silent alleyways, with no neon sign, no music spilling into the night, no indication that behind its steel-gray exterior existed a world of exquisite surrender and dangerous temptation. Most people passed without a second glance. That was exactly how Master William Steele preferred it. Discretion was power. And power was something He wore as naturally as the tailored black suits that clung perfectly to His broad shoulders. Master Steele was not the sort of man who demanded attention. He simply owned it. Confidence radiated from Him in quiet waves — controlled, measured, absolute. His presence alone could silence a room faster than shouting ever could. Tall and impeccably composed, He moved with the precision of someone who understood discipline not merely as a practice, but as a way of life. Every

  • The Master's Club   Chapter 2: Ruby

Ruby had imagined places like Fantasy for years. Not the cheap versions hidden inside trashy websites or badly written online fantasies, but something deeper. Darker. Elegant. A place where control meant more than rough hands and careless demands. A place where power had rules. Meaning. Intention. Ever since she was nineteen and trembling beneath the palm of her boyfriend during their first clumsy experiment with spanking, something inside her had awakened. Not fear. Not shame. Need. The sharp sting across her skin had sent heat spiraling through her body in ways she couldn’t explain. More intoxicating than the pain itself had been the feeling of surrender — of giving up control to someone she trusted. She remembered the dizzy warmth afterward, the comfort of being held, the strange emotional release that left her craving more even while she blushed at the thought of it. But her boyfriend had never understood the difference between curiosity and readiness. When she hesitated a

No windows revealed what lay inside. No music leaked into the alley. • The Master's Club   Chapter 4: Club Fantasy - Master Damian and The Upper Dungeon

Fantasy was far larger than Ruby ever could have imagined. The main dungeon floor alone could have consumed an entire evening’s attention, yet Olivia leaned close with an excited grin as they moved carefully through the crowded play space. “You haven’t even seen the real magic yet.” Ruby glanced toward her. “There’s more?” Olivia laughed softly. “So much more.” At the far end of the dungeon, partially concealed behind black velvet drapery and guarded by another discreet security station, stood a private elevator framed in smoked glass and brushed steel. Unlike the rest of the club, access here was restricted. Very restricted. Beside the elevator sat a sleek black panel with a glowing silver emblem etched into its surface: F Guests approached individually, sliding elegant black-and-silver keycards across the scanner before the doors silently opened. Ruby watched one distinguished couple disappear inside. “What’s upstairs?” she whispered. Olivia lowered her voi
