Dearest American Werewolf Kingdom,

Surely you all didn't believe that I would sit back quietly as tragedy has struck our kingdom. It is said that after every tragedy, the Moon Goddess bestows a blessing upon us. One has to wonder exactly what was going through the divine Goddess's mind the night of the Stone Hill Creek Massacre. An Alpha and 87 of the Kingdom's strongest warriors lost in what this author is told was under an hour.

As it goes however, this author would be remiss if she didn't report the return of the Kingdom's most infamously disgraced Alpha daughter in the wake of this tragedy. And with only a few days until the beginning of mating season. This author is informed that Korrine Prescott returned home to Stone Hill River less than 24 hours after the tragedy struck, with a clique that is sure to put the ex-marked Princess and her Wardenesses to shame, and no mate in sight.

This begs the question, what is Miss Prescott doing back on Stone Hill Creek territory? Surely she is well aware that King Reginald will not welcome her presence with open arms after he epically exiled her, no matter the tragedy her family has incurred. This author also can not help but to wonder if Miss Prescott has only arrived to support her sister through the death rites, or does she intend to finally take her place in society and accept her duty to her pack and kingdom by taking a mate and producing proper Alpha pups?

I must say my friends, even in the wake of such a horrible tragedy, it is good to be back. It is looking to be quite the interesting season to be sure. Until next time dear friends...

-The Chirper: April 28th

The Infamously Disgraced Alpha Daughter

Nostalgia ran through her veins as the SUV strolled through the packland gates. It had been so long since she'd watched this scene of low hanging tree branches create a beautifully perfect arch of shade above the gravel road. Though she knew that the sight infront of her was even more beautiful in the summer time, while the trees were in full bloom, she couldn't deny that even now the sight was gorgeous. She had expected more push back when they pulled up to the gates, but as soon as the tired and battle stricken warrior at the front gate saw her face he had given her a small nod with a sad smile and opened the gate to the packland, no questions asked. Perhaps he was just happy to see more wolves coming to the packland before sundown and after so many of the pack's warriors had been lost last night.

Regardless of the reasoning, she and her team were in the packlands now, and soon they would be pulling up to the packhouse that she had called home for the first 18 years of her life. She had brought her seven best across the ocean with her to assess the situation, and called in her closest teams to help protect the borders come nightfall. They had all arrived earlier, and were waiting in the human town nearby for her call. While the pack had lost many, many warriors last night, she would only need half of that to replace them. Her warriors were by far better trained and most definitely more experienced.

The SUV slowed to a stop infront of the large five story Colonial Revival style mansion that she had grown up in. The Prescott packhouse was one of the largest in the country, a gift from the Royal Washington family after the American Werewolf Civil War. Alpha Andrew Prescott had designed it himself, and Marcus Washington had paid for it, as a gift, for Andrew taking the throne from the tyrant king, Daniel Kingsley and giving it to him. It boasted the main section of the house which was open to the entire pack, including offices for the ranked members, a game room, movie room, mulitple dens, the kitchens, a dining room large enough to house the entire pack and a very large ball room at the back of the house on the first two floors, along with over fifty guest rooms and several lounges in the upper two stories of the main section. The basement held the laundry services, and storage.

The left wing housed the ranked families and stretched far beyond the ballroom to encompass the pool and back patio, as did the right wing of the house which was the Royal Wing, reserved for visits from the Royal Washington family, the monarchs of the American Werewolf Kingdom. Both wings were connected by an enclosed bridge that stretched over the patio in the back on the third visible floor. The Alpha family occupied the upper two stories of the left wing, while the Gamma and Beta families occupied the lower two. There were dormitories in the basement of the left wing for the Packhouse Omegas as well, but they had always been welcome to take up residence outside of the packhouse if they wished.

The Royal Wing was another story entirely. While the Alpha quarters were quite large, she had always felt they were the perfect size for her incredibly large family. The Royal Wing however, she had always felt that it was unnecessarily large for no apparent reason. It seemed to her that it was just another way for the Royal family show off their status. So, she had decided before she even got here to the packland, that she would convert it into her own personal quarters for her and her children.

She had left her children at home at their South Asian packhouse, of course, and that was where they would remain until she decided that they would be safe here. Unfortunately, she wasn't sure that she would ever feel safe here in the packlands again. That was why she hadn’t put up a fuss when she was exiled and made rogue to begin with, she wasn't safe within the confines of the kingdom. Especially not with the king himself deciding that she was a problem that needed to be dealt with. Well, the joke is on him, back then she was just a newly of age, kind hearted, naive, young woman. Now, well, now she was the problem he had believed her to be.

A crooked half moon smile pursed across her lips as she took her time getting out of the black tinted SUV. Yes, she would be a problem for the King, but she would be the problem that he had created all those years ago. She used to believe that it was never supposed to be this way, but as she walked around the vehicle looking up at the behemoth packhouse that now belonged to her, she couldn't help but wonder if this was exactly the way it was always supposed to be.

"Daddy. Dianne." She smiled sadly through her large, dark, designer sunglasses as she began her ascent up the stairs to the large wrap around porch.

She couldn't help but to notice how taken aback Dianne looked from her calling by her first name, but these days it was more comfortable than calling her mom. After finding her biological mother and becoming rather close with her over the past eighteen years, calling Dianne 'mom' felt wrong. Regardless, she gave them both a brief hug as she stepped onto the porch and pushed her sunglasses onto her head so she could look them in the eye. Afterall, she was the Alpha of Stone Hill Creek now, and an Alpha always looked everyone in the eye when speaking to them. That was one of the many things her father had taught her about being an Alpha as she grew up.

"Welcome home, sweetheart. Or should I say Alpha? This is quite the surprise, even to me." James told his daughter affectionately.

"Or perhaps, it is only a surprise to you, Daddy. Well, you and the rest of this Goddess damned Kingdom that is. But for my friends and I, this is actually not a surprise at all. Afterall, I have been Alpha to the rogues for over a decade now. Which reminds me, expect to be seeing alot of new faces over the coming weeks. I have forty or so warriors who will be taking up positions on the borders before sundown. And let me introduce you guys to my leadership team. So, this Beta Livie, Olivia, that is. Gammas Charlotte or Charli, as I call her and Alana. Now, first things first, how is Kimmy?" Korrine explained as she stood on the front porch with her parents before clasping her hands infront of her.

If the Dowager Alpha was upset by her professional demeanor, you couldn't tell as he beamed with pride and listened intently. His little Korri, Alpha to the rogues. He gave a polite nod to her leadership team as she introduced them all, and they a nod back to him. These were the people she trusted with her life, with her pack. He took note of the fact that there were no men in her leadership team, but he didn't question it, knowing that she had probably never learned to fully trust men again. Still, he couldn't deny that even the she-wolves looked strong, hard, and dare he say, bloodthirsty.

"Kimmy is doing as well as to be expected. The pack doctor gave her and all the other widows sedatives once the sun came up. Says he has plenty on hand to keep them calmed over the coming days. We already lost our Alpha and eighty-seven warriors. Now we'll be lucky if we don't lose all of our widows to the madness as well," his grief stricken voice rang in her ears as his eyes swarmed with sadness.

"Nonsense Daddy. I won't have it. How many widows are there, including Kimmy? Dianne can you please give Charli a list of names, ages and ranks for each widow so she can set them up for transfer? My packland in Southern Asia houses my Widow'sHealing Center. Their specialization is fighting off the lost mate madness with a ninety-two percent success rate. We will get them logged into our system and ready for transfer immediately. Come, let's take this chat inside, the Werebirds consider this pack one of their safe zones and they are quite the gossips." Korrine told them all as she gestured to the door.

Her teammates snickered knowingly as they climbed the steps to join them inside the packhouse, while her father looked at her questioningly. It was at that point that he realized that his little girl was not just no longer a little girl, but she was now a completely different woman altogether. It was of no matter to him however, as he would always stand by her side proudly.

I said hello with hugs to all of the rest of the royals, taking a special moment to recognize my two Lunas, Princesses Sienna and Prya, and their mates, my betas Johnny and Victor. Once I had greeted everyone, I took a seat across my mom and step-dad. I was surprised when Alexander stood from his seat and came to sit next to me. It was a very protective and powerful move for him to make in a room full of Royals, especially since my ex-husband was sitting in one of the single seats scattered in the room. "Well, I see that you've apparently already made your choice Prince Alexander. Now you just have to convince me that you are good enough for my daughter," Mom stated as an Omega brought in a cart with tea kettles and glasses. "Excuse her, she doesn't know how to behave herself." I told him as I sat laid my hand on top of his. "Well, I guess we all know where you get all that sass from now, don't we. Though I'm surprised, of all the things you told us in your interview, you neve

I had spent the evening going over the plans on how we would slowly and quietly take back the kingdom. Once everyone agreed on a plan of attack, we hung out and spent the evening catching up. I mostly spent the evening talking about myself, since I was the one who had been away for so long. The more I talked about all the things I had seen and done, the more everyone wanted to hear more stories. Luckily, the girls, Yara, Duane, Margarita and Marco joined in and gave me an opportunity to stop speaking occasionally. When the topic of the Chirper came up, everyone agreed that I had become her latest obsession, and though she didn't believe I'd actually win the contest, she was obviously a huge fan of mine. We laughed about that off and on all night. The best part of the evening was the way Alexander pulled me into snuggle against him once the sun had set. The way his skin felt against mine was like a warm, soft hum of electricity. He spent the whole evening being attenti

Dearest American Werewolf Kingdom, Well, this author has surely done her due diligence this week and has quite a bit to inform you of. Of course, on Monday I made note of how well our beloved Alpha Prince and our new Female Alpha were getting along, but I would not be the author you all know me to be if I failed to report that those lunch and dinner dates ran all through Alpha Week with our Female Alpha using the skill of her culinary chefs and delectable appearing meals to impress our Alpha Prince. But, please make note that it wasn't just the food that caught the Alpha Prince's attention. As fate would have it, King Reginald chose to move a few topics around for this year's Alpha meetings, resulting in our Female Alpha not only demonstrating how well she knew our laws, but making her own case as for why one law in particular needed removed. The slap heard across the Kingdom occurred at dinner on Tuesday, the second day of Alpha Week, after Kelly Callahan-Caldwell disrespected th

Though we had enjoyed our lunch laughing over the Wardens and the old man clans anger, she continued purchasing she-wolves the rest of the afternoon. By the time dinner rolled around, the wealthiest Alphas in this Kingdom were all furious. She didn't seem to care though, as she laughed with her friends over rare ribeyes, grilled garlic brussel sprouts, and baked potatoes, complete with mojitos of different flavors. The other Alphas and Lunas kept glancing our way, some of them looking envious, others appalled at her behavior. They really had a hard time accepting that she was authentically herself, regardless of who was watching her. She and her leadership team were deep in conversation gossiping about some couple they knew when Lacey and Joey, the Luna and Alpha of The Redwood Coast pack, came walking over. "Well, you ladies dinner looks absolutely scrumptious and I'm stuck eating this salad because I am not touching what they are apparently calling smothered porkchops." Lace

After breakfast, dad and I walked down to the meeting hall. Unsurprisingly, Korrine was already seated, leaning back in her seat on her phone. That part surprised me. Only those who Caldwell deemed worthy were allowed to access the castle's wifi. Knowing Korrine though, she probably figured out another way to get internet access on her phone. She looked up at me and smiled when I walked in. Some things never change. We had always had a such a strong connection that we both instinctively knew when the other had entered a room and exactly where they were located. It wasn't long before everyone filed in and got situated in their seats. My dad had stayed outside to talk to Caldwell and let him know about the switch up for today. The smug smile he walked in wearing told me that he was more than happy to know he would be able to get under Korrine's skin today. Once again, Korrine never stood up from her seat to wait for my father to sit, but them again, it was a sign if respect to the mos

The conversation continued late into the evening. Korrine basically told us that she could easily take our Kingdom by force, but that wasn't what she wanted. She wanted the chance to redeem herself after being publicly ostracized and exiled. I can't say I blamed her. When she left here, everyone was calling her all kinds of horrid names and treating her as if she were trash. The worst part was how they claimed to be doing it all for me. I knew better than to believe those pathetic Alphas' lies though. Korrine had been just as enamored with me as I had been with her; she would have never thrown away what we had, even if she had gotten as drunk as they claimed she was. I had always believed her story, but had been unable to publicly support her out of fear of what they might do to her next. So, I pretended to believe them, and kept my distance from her. She revealed several of her secrets to us during the interview, but none of them had been as shocking as the one that kept me
