CHAPTER SIX

That Sunday evening, my father returned home. My mother had gone to see her friends and I was concluding my book. I rushed out and hugged him.

“daddy, I missed you so much”, I said exposing my open teeth.

“Me too. Where is your mother?, she had not been picking my calls. What is the problem?”, he asked as he handed me over his bags.

“nothing, I don't think there is a problem at all. But where did you travel to ?“

“To visit a friend. Don't worry, I'm back now”

Yeah, he was back but from his tone, I could figure out that he was troubled. I didn't want to trouble him with questions. I took his bag inside and brought out his food to serve him since he said he was hungry.
