Chapter 285: Failed Embedding

Dicken’s pupils dilated just before a silver crystalline body replaced them, reflecting an enrapturing radiance from the moon. He craned his neck and heaved, arteries all over his body bulging in stimulation as if another spirit was tearing at his body, intent on occupying it while he resisted as much as he could.

I watched Dicken’s physical reaction in shock as a chilling thought crept into my mind—was I mistaken in the way I had embed the token of existence? Was this a side effect caused by my misunderstanding? this explains why her Dicken was such a horn dog when he met her...he remembered her from the 1940s and how she threw herself all over him. are they stuck in a time loop now?
