Chapter 13

Tiny was finally awake and I let out a breath that I had no idea I was holding. I was so relieved I thought I was going to cry. A tear even managed to escape from my eyes. I didn’t know how I was going to process everything if my impulsiveness almost got someone killed.

“I told you to not let go.” Tiny said, getting into a sitting position on the chair. I resisted the urge to push her down so she could just lie down. I had to remind myself over and over that she was an adult who could take care of herself and this was probably not her first time.

“I’m sorry. I thought you would die if you held on.” I replied bringing down my head, chastised.

“You were right.”

I was right? “I was?” I ask in shock.

“Yes.” She said. Selena brought her a cup of tea and she patted her hand in thanks. “I would have probably died if you didn’t let go of my hand.”

“Did something happen?” The question was from Theodore. He was beside me now. He held my hands in his own.
