Stalker Vibes

The golf ball-sized knot in my throat is hard to swallow. I’m stuck putting on a fake smile, even though I’m not sure why I am putting on a fake smile, I could care less about John.

I push the cart forward as I keep my eye on him. He reaches for something from the dairy aisle, and I am questioning if I just want to put the cart back and leave. He’s bothered me three times, and I’m waiting for his creepy ass to continue trying. He’s literally walking with me, more and less stalking me.

“What do you think of spaghetti?” He questions as he steps up to my side. “How about one dinner with me? Just one, Cassie. I’m not a bad guy or anything and you look like the type of girl who enjoys spaghetti or pizza for dinner.”

As I push my cart forward, trying to ignore him, but still be polite, I feel like he’s just going to shove his cart into mine, stopping me in place at some point.

“I told you, and McKenzie told you,” I argue and shake my head as I grow more annoyed. “I am seeing someone.”
