 Moon Goddess

The Alpha waved me away to leave immediately and I did. Outside the room, I could feel my heart beating hard against my chest.

I wish I was the one in that position, the Luna of the most handsome Alpha I had ever seen.

I noticed that I was beginning to have some feelings for the Alpha, which I tried hard not to believe was love.

"But am I truly in love with him?" I whispered to myself.

"No it can't be," I said but I knew for sure that I was lying. Deep down, I loved him.

"But even if I do, love wasn't part of the mission I was sent to do, I was forbidden to fall in love."

There was no place for love in my heart because my soul didn't belong to me.

And I had a mission to complete, a goddess to serve wholeheartedly. There was no place for love in my life.

That was what I always thought but the reality of it was beginning to fade away as the day went by.

I thought this awkward feeling of jealousy was going to die but unfortunately for me, it only grew larger than my heart could contain.

I wanted to always see his face and always be with him but there was already someone in that position.

"I am going to keep trying until he notices me." I affirmed.

That morning, I got dressed in my best robe to see the Alpha king.

When I got to his door, I tapped slightly.

I could already feel cold shivers running down my spine, I was frightened to my bones.

"Who is that?" His thick voice came from Inside.

"It's me, Andrea." I returned to him almost immediately.

"You may come in." he ordered.

I opened the door gently and walked into the room, closing the door right behind me.

"Do you have a message from the moon goddess," he said to me with disgust in his voice.

"No," I returned and tried to say something else but he would not give me breathing space to even complete my statement.

"So what are you doing here?" He inquired.

"Just when I wanted to tell him that... I came to say hi," I stuttered.

Then, the door parted open and Luna walked in.

I noticed that immediately I saw her face, my mood went sour immediately and my face disappeared under a hateful glare.

I returned my stare to the Alpha and I could see a warm smile hanging on his face.

"Wish that was for me." I sighed.

She came over to him and kissed him on his lips for some time. After which she pulled away from him and shot a deadly glare at me

"And what are you doing here?" She inquired but I didn't bother to give her a reply, making her turn over to her mate.

"Can't you see that I am really busy you fool," he thundered angrily at me.

 "Get out of this place."

"I am sorry Alpha," I apologized and started walking away from the place.

"I don't like the way she is always around you," I heard Luna complaining to Jax.

"That girl? she can't even pull a string when it comes to me. She is only good for state issues and nothing more. So you don't worry about her," he said to her while I continued to walk away from them.

I could feel tears already forming in the corner of my eyes as I ran over to the room.

I went to my room and shut the door close behind me with so much hate and anger.

"Why does he never notice me like I am just a grain of dust, like an invisible being?" I yelled at the top of my voice.

"He is using me, that's just it," I yelled angrily.

"But somehow, you like him," a voice rang in my room like the clap of thunder.

This was the hard truth, I was beginning to fall for the werewolf who had noted earlier that I was only useful in issues related to state matters only and he was never going to look my way.

Tears gradually dropped down from my eyes, raising the dust in my room.

Then, my guardian spirit appeared before me.

"Andrea," she said to me. "Why are you crying?" She inquired. But I could not tell her anything at first.

How would it sound, that the descendant of the moon goddess was falling in love with a mere mortal?

"You can talk to me," she noted with a smile hanging on her face.

I bit my lower lip as I spilled out every single inch of my predicament to her.

"You are not the first nor will you be the last to fall in love with someone that you can never be with and nobody before you had ever gotten their aims. Rather, they are distracted from completing their missions," she said to me, staring right into my eyes.

"You are forbidden Andrea to fall in love with a werewolf so focus on your mission and this feeling will pass just as it has developed," she said to me and vanished from the room.

But her words seem to create only a greater hole in my heart.

"I am just going to let this pass and hold back any feeling I have about him," I said to myself and dried up every single tear that had formed in my eyes.

"But what if I can't? What if this feeling is just too great to withhold." I sobbed.

The year scrolled by faster than I had expected. My stay in the pack was gradually coming to an end.

And I was right, my feelings for the Alpha did not die either.

I walked around the pack house that morning and I met with the Luna. She wore a golden garment that covered her face and her train of maids.

"If it isn't the great Andrea." she said to me but I only stared at her with disgust

She was always fond of making fun of me in the public. "Can't you greet the Luna of the pack or do you have some grudge against me," she shot an evil smile at me but I continued to stare at her with hate and disgust.

"Well, my Alpha would be angry when I eventually tell him how rude you were to his mate today," she glared at me and began to walk away.

"I am sorry Luna," I apologized quickly knowing too well how the Alpha would react when he finds out about my behavior toward his mate.

"Get out of my way slimy slut," she insulted and I pulled away from the way.

I would already feel my anger rising so bad that I had to clutch my hands and clip my lips to the roof of my mouth to control it.

I walked away with rage stamping my foot angrily on the floor.

"Who the hell does she think she is? Because the Alpha treats her like the queen of the earth? When the time comes, I am going to crush her with the tips of my finger," I vowed.

I walked angrily into my room and banged the door behind me. Then my wolf appeared to me.

"Andrea, it is time," she said to me.

"Time for what?" I inquired, confused at what she was saying.

"Your mission in this world has been accomplished. There are no more threats to the kingdom," she announced.

"Soon, the moon goddess would request for your soul, so be prepared," she continued but I wasn't even listening to her anymore.

I could not imagine leaving this pack. As bad as it sounds, I couldn't imagine an eternity without the Alpha.
