I rushed into the hall of scrolls, my heart pounding fast as I skimmed through the scrolls on the shelves.

What was wrong with me?! I had just agreed to go into the cave of horrors. A cave that made everyone look at me like I had just signed my death warrant. A cave I knew nothing about.

Morgana. Queen Nianive?”Vera finally looked up, her sharp gaze piercing through me like a blade. “Yes,” she said curtly. “The known ones.”She tilted her head, one brow arched. “Why the sudden interest in the One Power?”I shrugged, exhaling

The air hung thick with tension as I staggered and leaned against the door, my heart thundering through my ears.No. This isn't happening. This can't be.The Queen mother herself. The second most powerful person amongst the four kingdoms was here. In my dorm. Seeking my audience?!Impossible!I pinched myself hard, trying to see if this was real. If this was one of my visions, but a sharp sting on my wrist told me otherwise. She stepped away from the window slowly, her gown brushing effortlessly against the wooden floor as she walked the stretch of the room. Lalita straightened as she approached, stealthily stepping behind her as she paused in the middle of the room."Come.” She beckoned on me with the wave of a hand. Her voice calm but sharp.I swallowed, my throaty chocky as I stepped away from the door and made my way to her. I could hardly breath as I took in her presence. Her tall, commanding aura dominating the air.She stood gracefully, her slender figure showing fragility but

“Y– You– Your Majesty.” I stuttered like a fool as I bowed to him, my heart pounding like a war drum.He held a menacing gaze that showed anger, like he was ready to devour anything that stood in his path at the moment and scoffed, his gaze darkening as he peered at me with cold disdain.“And you are?” He grunted, barely masking the cold irritation in his voice.I raised my head sightly, still avoiding his gaze. Looking the Lord Alpha straight in the eyes was considered treason, punishable by death.“I…. I… am Amara. Amara Terrin.” I blurted, moving uneasily as I played with my fingers.Silence.He stepped forward and lifted my chin with his fingers, his scent filling my nose."I have seen you before." He said, his eyes lit with curiosity as he tilted my face. "But you are unique."He let go of my chin and peered at me critically. "Your skin."His eyes skimmed at me from head to toe. "Your hair." He let the words trail..."I should be able to recognize you if we have met before." I h

Stop Amara!” I hear the voice of Tirion cry in the background. “Control yourself!”I clutched my head and staggered back. Trying to control the power but the spirit was overwhelming, taking control of my thoughts and mind.“Do not listen to him, Elena!” The voice loomed inside me. Multiplying into a thousand hoarse whispers. “He!” They snarled at Tirion. “Makes you weak. You are more than you think of, Elena! The world is yours and yours alone to conquer. He is your weakness. Kill him, Elena. Finish what you started a thousand years ago.”“Arghh!” I cried as I jerked back, a massive weave of light spinning around me. “Leave me alone. I am not Elena!”“Ha Ha Ha.” The voices cackled. “You deceive yourself with your new name. Your fake identity. You are Elena Snow. The chosen. Daughter of the moon Goddess, mother of all creations.”And in the next second, flashes of vision comes flooding in my memory.______“Kill the mad queen.” A familiar voice yells in the background. “Ah!” I screamed as I fall across the air, the huge gust of wind threatening to tear my skin. “Wolf out before you fall to the ground.” Tirion screamed from above and a sudden urge to strangle him to death surged through me as I cursed. For moon sakes, my whole backstory revolved around me not having a wolf and not being able to wolf out, Idiot.I closed my eyes, preparing myself for the worst as I fell through the mass of trees. Their leaves and branches cutting and scratching my skin. Cut.Scratch.Cut.Scratch.The leaves slapped my face, the branches grazed my skin. Crushed leaves pieces entered my nose. Tiny specks of wood stinged my eyelids.Soon the scratching stopped and a gust of wind swept through my skin.
