My wolf, khaos, spent years yearning for our mate. And the second I take my eyes off her, she's fucking another male. Blood drips from the severed head hanging from my hand. I am breathing really hard, fighting to stay in control. Mine. How dare he touch her? How dare he put his hands on what belongs to us? Tear him apart. Claim her. khaos keeps roaring inside my head. The urge to tear the corpse apart is so overwhelming that my vision blurs red around the edges. Then she screams. The pure, soul shattering agony in her scream cuts straight through me, clearing my rage for a brief second. Then I see that he is still inside her, and she is clinging onto him. A growl tears from my chest as whatever remains of my self control finally snaps. Grabbing the body by the shoulder, I rip it away from her even as she fights me for it. The realisation that she is fighting me for another male sends another wave of fury through me. I hurl the corpse into the darkness, and it crashes through several trees before disappearing from sight. "Zane!" She cries out, stumbling after it. I catch her before she can take another step and yank her back against me. "How far do you intend to push me, little wolf?" "Let go off me!" She thrashes wildly against my grip, her nails digging into my arm in a useless attempt to free herself. Veins bulge in my temple as I slam her hard against a tree. The trunk shudders from the impact. "Don't hurt her?" Khaos warns. "She is fighting me for another male!" "She doesn't know us yet." Ignoring him, I wrap my hand around her throat and pin her against the tree. Her scent is in the fucking air, filling my lungs. Usually it should calm me but it is mixed with another male's scent and the evidence that she let him touch her and had wanted every second of it. It drives me so close to madness that I want to erase every trace of him from her skin. "You are mine, little wolf." She claws at my wrist and kicks uselessly, still trying to go back to him. "Stop. You are hurting her!" khaos roars. "I'll kill you!" She screams. "I'll fucking kill you!" Her bloodied face is soaked with tears and her red eyes glare daggers at me. It feels like she is stabbing a dagger into my heart and twisting it. I keep tightening my grip until her hands fall, her body goes limp, and her head rolls to the side. The rage vanishes instantly. My heart pounds in my ears. I can't feel any pulse. My grip loosens immediately. "Did you just kill her?" khaos sounds horrified. "No." The words come out rough. "I wasn't even using that much force." "You fucking bastard!" Suddenly, the air turns eerie. From the corner of my eyes I see something red slowly covering the moon like spilled blood. In the distance, the sound of frightened howls can be heard. "What the fuck is that?" Suddenly a hand clamps over my wrist making me turn back to her. Pain explodes through my arm as her fingers tighten, forcing my hand away from her throat. Impossible. She should not possess this kind of strength. Slowly, she lifts her head and when her eyes meet mine my entire body goes still. The sky blue eyes that remind me of frozen northern lakes are gone and in their place is endless blackness. And it feels like something... something ancient is staring back at me. A vicious grwol tears from her throat and before I can react, her foot slams hard into my chest. One second I'm standing in front of her and the next I'm airborne. Trees explode around me as I crash through one trunk, then another before finally hitting the ground hard enough to leave a little hole under my body. For a second, I just lay there staring up at the half blood-stained moon. I have never been hit that hard before and definitely not by an omega, let alone one who was supposed to be wolfless. "Mate!' khaos sounds delighted. "Mate. Mate. Mate." I groan and sit up. "You sound too excited for someone whose mate is about to kill us." Silver markings glow across her naked skin as she crouches low, her nails elongating into claws, fangs protruding from her mouth and black fur spreading across her forearms and shoulders. She is no wolfless omega. The thrill of fighting her is already pulsing through me, hot and sharp as I rise to my feet. "Come, little wolf." She charges fast, too fast, leaps into the air, her leg cutting toward my head. I catch her ankle before she can land a hit, then swing her hard. "Don't fucking—" khaos start, but I already let her go. Her body flies through the air and crashes into a tree. "The fuck is wrong with you?!" I didn't even throw her as hard as she did me! She rises quickly and lunges at me again. Her claws rake across my shoulder, tearing my skin. I catch her arm but her knee slams into my ribs hard enough to force the air from my lungs. Before I can recover she's going for my throat. "Easy there, Wildfire." She answers with a vicious snarl. "Yeah, I figured you're pissed." She attacks again and again while I try my best not to hurt her because apparently, khaos thinks I'm the only one who deserves to be hurt. My heels catch a fallen trunk, and I hit the ground. "Oh, shit," I say as I see her already above me. The impact rattles my bones as she lands on my chest, straddling me, her heat searing through my clothes. "You are fucking heavy," I groan, the words half laugh, half pain. Her claws go for my throat and I catch both wrists inches from my neck, the force of it driving my arms into the dirt. "You must hate being told you are heavy." She pushes harder as she growls. "You're putting too much effort into killing your mate, Wildfire." The word seem to have an effect on her cause she freezes. "Mate?" She stares down at me, black eyes searching my face as she repeats bit this time with certainty, "Mate." I slowly release her wrists, and she doesn't attack. Carefully, I reach up and brush the damp hair from her face. My voice softens. "Yes." "You're mine." I slide my thumb across her cheek, feeling the faint tremor still running through her. "Whether you like it or not." She slowly leans forward toward my throat, her nose brushing my skin as she inhales deeply, and a full body shudder rips through me. My cock throbs violently against the seam of my pants and I dig my nails into the dirt. A low, possessive rumble vibrates through her chest. I feel it. Khaos feels it too. He nearly tears through my skin desperate to get to her, to claim her. She knows us. "Mine," she growls weakly as the fight drains out of her all at once and she collapses against my chest. Above us, the blood moon begins to fade. I bury my face in her hair, breathing her in like I'll die without it and pull her tighter against me. "Mine," I growl back. My hand slides down her bare back, possessive, itching to claim every inch of her he dared touch, to wipe his scent off her and drown her in mine. "Fucking mine."Hi. Thank you for reading. This is my first werewolf book, but I'll try my best to make it worth your time. Thank you.
Vaelra My nails dig into my palms as I stare at the closed door, my mind refusing to accept what just happened. Fine. If he doesn't want to reject me, then I'll just leave. Scanning the room desperately, I search for anything I can wear. My eyes land on a shirt draped over the edge of a chair. I snatch it up and pull it over my head. The damn thing falls almost to my knees. I hate that I can smell him on it, but it will do for now. I grab the heavy fur cloak lying across the bed and throw it around myself, fastening it as best I can before rushing toward the door. The moment I step into the hallway, my mouth drops. What the hell? The place is enormous. Stone walls stretch in every direction, broken by towering arches and dark wooden doors. The ceiling above me is so fucking high I have to crane my neck to see it. Massive chandeliers hang overhead, their flames throwing golden light across polished stone floors. How many rooms does this place have? I race down the
Vaelra My whole body tremble with rage the second the name leaves his lips. "Don't call me that!" I clench my fist and swing for his face, but he catches my wrist before my knuckles can even graze him and pin it against the wall above my head. "Why?" A mocking smile pulls at his lips. "Is that what your dead lover used to call you?" I bare my teeth at him. "Don't you dare." His smile widens. "Vae." His voice drips with amusement. "Vae" I swing the other hand at him, and he catches that one too and pins it beside the first. "You're persistent." "I'm going to fucking kill you." "You're welcome to try." "Unhand me!" I grit out, yanking against his grip with everything I have, but the bastard is stronger. "If you keep moving like that, that blanket will fall." I ignore him and jerk my knee upward, aiming for his groin, but his hand catches my thigh before I can connect. At the same time the blanket slips from my chest and falls to the ground. "D—don't look." "I've seen en
Vaelra I don't know where I am. There is no sky, no ground, no wind or sound, only darkness, so thick it feels like it's pressing down on me. I lie curled into myself, my arms wrapped tightly around my knees as my body shakes. Pressing my face against my knees, I try to breathe through the ache, tearing through my chest. But every time I close my eyes, I see him. Zane. His smile, the way he looked at me when he told me he loved me, then his head getting ripped from his body. "Please..." I cry. "Make it stop." But I know that scene is going to haunt me for the rest of my life. My fingers dig into my arms, but nothing hurts enough to drown out the pain of losing him. I brought him into that forest. I was the one who couldn't handle my shit and dragged him away from the festival. And now he is dead. The tears keep coming, hot and endless, soaking the space between my knees and face. Mama was wrong, I really was a curse. Papa left because of me. The pack dista

Raze The forest is quiet now except for her steady breathing against my neck. We stay like this for a while before I finally shift carefully, not to wake her. My fingers brush damp strands of hair away from her bloodied face. "She's perfect," I murmur. "Of course she is. She is ours." Khaos's voice is low and reverent for once. Glancing down at her, a smile curls across my lips. He's damn right about that. There is blood over her body, most of it from the bastard I killed, mixed with dirt. I need to clean her up. Carefully, I lift her higher into my arms and carry her toward the river. It was the first place I ever encountered my mate. I had gone for a quick swim after arriving at the crescent moon pack when suddenly her scent hit me. It was unlike anything I had never smelled. Wild jasmine mixed with rain-soaked earth and a warm smoke beneath it. It was intoxicating, slamming into my senses so violently that I'd forgotten how to breathe. Khaos had gone completel
