Chapter Nine—Another Lurker In The Shadows

**AURORA**

I stared at him with my mouth agape, dumbfounded by his sudden aggressiveness. Something was aloof and he clearly wasn’t telling me, who is Asher Blackwood??

“Fine!” I yelled, “You want me to leave?!! I’ll leave! I never want to see your stupid face ever again!!”

“You will.” He muttered as I grabbed my brushes and palette, stuffing them into my satchel.

I turned around, sending him a death glare, “What makes you think so?!”

He was calm, it irked me even more, “We’re not done with the painting.”

I glanced over at the painting, my fists balled hard and my jaw clenched seeing how right he was. I wasn’t done, so engrossed that I didn’t realize I only painted the body and not the most important part—his eyes.

“Hmph. I have a good memory.” I finally replied as I eased the painting off my easel, mounting it gently on my bike, “Goodnight Asher Blackwood.”

“I’ll see you again.”
