23: It wasn't me

Kayla’s POV

Everyone was still gathered around Sapphire even though Hector left her alone to deal with the aftereffects herself. What an asshole! Everyone knows that when an Alpha forces his people to submit to him they are the only ones who can release them from that state, yet Hector just left her like that!

Several people tried to get Sapphire to snap out of it as she still crouched and wrapped her arms around herself as she shook and said, “ I’m sorry…I’m sorry,” on repeat, but she wouldn’t budge.

“ Someone has to beg Hector to release her.” A girl said. Everything seemed so strange to me. It seemed like the people here are a lot nicer than at my school in Redwolf. They were genuinely worried for Sapphire and that was saying something. Unlike in Redwolf high where they would’ve just laughed and left Sapphire to her fate.
