Freda’s P.O.V

I blinked at the man before me. Ever since he chose to buy me, he had been nothing but a mystery.

He had given me a room. A strange but beautiful room, more comfortable than any place I had ever slept in.

Now, he stood before me, personally inviting me to dinner.

Back at home, no one cared whether I ate or not. No one cared about me at all. I was certain they were celebrating right now, not even thinking about the fact that they had sold me to a stranger.

Craig's POV Everyone seemed to understand that whatever I had to say was important. The expressions on their faces changed, and they focused all their attention on me. Good. It was exactly what I wanted. I unlocked my watch and placed it on the table. “I discovered something unimaginable at the Moon Blood Pack.”Greg scooted closer to his chair. “Was it when you disappeared from the hall?”I nodded. “Thankfully, my foolish cousin was drunk enough to slip. I was able to obtain unquestionable evidence.”I could see the eagerness in each of their faces, but none of them could say a word. They didn't want to kill the moment. Instead of putting them in more suspense, I dragged out my laptop and copied the file from my watch to my laptop. Then, I played it. The only sound in the room was their breath and occasionally the gasping sound they made. When they were done, they all turned to me. “Are you okay?” Freda whispered, and she moved closer to me, her hand brushing mine. I welco

Freda’s POV Everything felt unreal. I had thought we were going to have difficulties rescuing Craig from the Moon Blood Pack, but everything seemed to be working for us without us putting in much effort. I linked my hand with Craig still finding it hard to believe he was here. The moment I heard him mind-link me, I was so excited. I gave him the location of the car and immediately went to wait for him. I informed the rest so thay we couls escape immediately he came. There was no point waiting and giving the enemies hope of meeting us. Greg smiled behind the wheel. He must have been also excited that the mission proved to be easier then we though. None of us said a word in the car, but I was hard to hide the relief we all felt. Everyone wore a wide smile as the car rocked us gently to the new hideout. We were getting closer to the new hide out when I turned to Craig. “Who's more beautiful?”He arched a brow, showing he had no idea what I was talking about. I pinched the bridge

Craig’s POVBy the time I left Ron’s office, he was still soundly asleep on the floor. He rolled on the floor, pulling objects towards himself while moaning sweetly in his dreams. I had copied the file onto my watch as it had storage - it was a smart watch, and my safest appliance anywhere I went to. Getting the way out of his house was easier than I thought. Apart from the office that was heavily guarded, the rest of the house was devoid of any sort of security. Ron seemed overconfident about the fact that no one would come close to his house. Finally free from his shackles, the only thing left was ways to escape the pack house. Immediately I got out og the house, closing the door behind me. I had to hide behind something else, there were men marching all around, probably in search or something. Or someone. It was high time Clayton realized that the mating ceremony he was hosting with so much pride wouldn’t take place. He must have finally observed that I wasn’t at the hall anymo

Craig’s POV Ron laughed as he led me towards where he considered the toilet. He was out of sync and kept on talking about things I couldn't comprehend. The more steps we took, the less I could hear Clayton’s annoying speech. It was such a relief not to be filled with his lies and overbearing compliments. A swap on my watch turned my location back on. I knew Greg would have made provision to track me. In an enemy castle, I needed to know where everyone was. It was surprising that Ron actually led me to the toilet, even in his drunken state. I frowned at him. Could it be that he was still sane enough to know what was happening? I decided to test the theory. “I said I wanted to go to your office, not to the toilet.” There was no way he knew what he was doing with the amount of alcohol he had consumed. Ever since I was escorted to the hall, I had had my eyes on him and Clayton. I observed everyone they met and the amount of alcohol they consumed. Ron didn’t take a break. He on

Craig’s POV “Don’t make any hasty decisions, dear. I have a plan.”Right from where I was seated, I could tell that Freda was about to do something. Something probably dangerous. My gaze moved to Clayton: his eyes danced around the hall as if he were expecting something, or rather, someone to pop out from nowhere. Maybe the whole ceremony was a trap. Or else, why would he have invited everyone to this mockery of a ceremony in such a short time? Ron, on the other hand, was genuinely having a good time. He had his hand wrapped around two ladies. Occasionally, he tipped his head back as if he was having the time of his life.If I were to escape here, he would be the way out. He was the reason I was here. He would also be the reason I escaped here. My lips twisted up in a smirk. “What’s funny?” The woman beside me asked. I wiped off the smirk from my lips and paid my attention to her. For a moment, I had already forgotten all about her presence. Unlike the previous day, before s

Freda’s POVBut when I saw who it was, all I did was open my mouth. My body froze. This was the last place I had expected to see him. Ever since he had denied me and married my sister, I had hated him. Yet, I couldn’t help the throb I felt in my heart from seeing him. Those years of friendship and love couldn’t be erased in just a day. “Hello, darling,” He smiled as though he had never shattered me in front of an entire pack. Like that day he berated me in front of the whole pack, it didn’t happen. Like everything was fine between us. “Fancy seeing you here. I knew you were going to be here, so I have been on the lookout ever since I came here.”I ignored him, turning back to glance at Craig, where I had seen him. He wasn’t there.I cursed. Just a glance away, and he was gone as if he was never there. “Looking for your sweetheart,” he said, his tone dripping with malice. “I heard he’s getting mated today.” He smiled, tightening his grip on my hand.“If I were you, I’d come back

Craig’s P.O.VLights filtered in from the only window in my office. Greg sat opposite me with a folder in his hand. Freda’s P.O.V “We have to go,” Ava said, checking a strange device in her hand. “It would be dangerous if they caught a whiff of us. Freda’s P.O.V “Shopping?”The word sounded foreign in my vocabulary. I don't do shopping. I do hand-off from Nina’s. Except for the ones I design and sew myself, I barely have any new clothes to wear. Even getting materials for those ones was a dilemma sometimes.Ava's eyes slanted, and a huge cu

Freda’s P.O.V I followed behind Ava silently, my gaze wandering, taking in the environment. How neatly everything seems and the absence of people running everywhere to get things organized. Curiously, I wanted to ask Ava if they had no maid, but she beat me to it. “Can I see the mark?” Her e
