The Mating Ceremony

Natasha's POV

After the sad revelation that Alpha Gabriel was going to kill the Omegas in the pack I had been on the edge, my wolf felt threatened and my senses had heightened all of a sudden. I was even scared to go outside. I stayed indoors most of the time, not that I had a place to go to.

But what I still couldn't accept was the fact that Alpha Gabriel would bring such a law to motion his father wasn't like that I guess power does change people. The serious issue for me was that I wanted to survive, staying in the pack means I will get killed fleeing from the pack will make me a rogue and I will definitely get killed also.

I honestly don't want to die. The thought of it scared me.

“Hello, I'm talking here.” Irene snapped her finger at my face which brought me out of my thoughts.

“You were saying?”

“Get my boyfriend and I a soda!” She rolled her eyes.

“Okay.” I moved away from the sink where I was washing the plate to get Irene what she wanted.

“And Natasha.” She called me all of a sudden.

“Yes.” I met her gaze.

“Don't embarrass me in front of him like you did with mom's friend, you know what I'm capable of.” She said icily and walked out of the kitchen.

I gulped and hurriedly took two trays and the sodas and went to the sitting room where they were seated. I frowned when I saw a new guy. He was different from the last one that came some days ago.

“We should still attend the mating ceremony baby.” Irene was on the blonde's lap.

The mating ceremony? I placed the drinks carefully on the table without making any sound.

“We already know that we are meant to be together, we don't need to attend such ceremonies, what if we find our mate there, that will destroy whatever we have.” The blonde caressed Irene's body

“I made a promise to you that I won't leave you and I'll stand by it.” It was Irene who replied.

“The mating ceremony is tomorrow we will go on one condition and it is that you will not leave my side the entire night.” The Blonde said.

I was disgusted by that sight Irene was my age mate and I have lost count of the numbers of boys she has brought in.She has no integrity whatsoever.

“You can leave.” Irene said awkwardly.

I did as she wanted and left the couples alone but what were they saying about the mating ceremony??

I felt a light bulb switch on my head.

“That's the answer to my problem!!” I wiped the tears that managed to escape from my eyes…

“If I find my mate in the mating ceremony I will be free!”

But how would I attend the mating ceremony? Aunt Teresa would never allow me this was the third time the mating ceremony was being held and she never allowed me to attend the possibility of letting me go this time is zero.

“Where is my money Natasha!” The door to my room opened harshly revealing Aunt Teresa.

“I don't know what you are talking about Aunt.” I stood up at once.

“Irene said she saw you took it, I'm not in the mood for jokes girl!!”

“I swear on my life that I didn't take your money aunt.” I sobbed in fear as I saw her pull out a whip..

Not the silver one!!.

“I know you will deny it, you will provide my money or die by my hands, pick your choice.”

“I'm … ..saying . …the truth …. Aunt Teresa… I didn't see… your… money.”

“So be it!”

My voice hollered across the street as I screamed in terror the silver whip laced through my skin. Aunt Teresa didn't stop until I embraced the thick darkness.

“How do I look mom?” Irene was fully dressed for the mating ceremony.

“You look beautiful my dear.” Teresa replied.

“Remember you are to look for Alpha Gabriel only.” Teresa pecked her daughter's cheek.

They said their farewells. I stood behind my aunt and watched Irene enter the car.

“Aunt Teresa?” I called her while we were in.

“Yes.” She looked at me with a disgusted look.

“It's nothing.” I shook my head in fear.

I wanted to ask her if I could attend the mating ceremony but I couldn't. I decided to wait for her to sleep off so I could sneak away.

Several hours passed before Aunt Teresa went to bed after confirming that she was fast asleep. I dashed outside and ran to the pack house where the mating ceremony was being held.

“So beautiful.” I murmured to myself when I got there.

The pack house was huge. It screamed the aura of wealth around the people trooping in and out of the pack house scared me. I braced myself and walked slowly inside. The blazing sounds of music and the noisy chat of the girls affected me. Thankfully no one noticed me.

Suddenly the sound of the music and the noise stopped. The atmosphere became tense. My heart skipped some beat when I felt a presence at my back.

I turned slowly only to see blazing red eyes staring at me..

“MATE!!” His loud growl shook the entire place……

I couldn't say a word the entire time when I found out that the man standing in front of me was no else other than the Alpha of Silver Claw Pack.

“What's your name?” He walked around me.

Now the entire attention was on me the pack members stopped what they were doing and watched as the Alpha twirled around me who would have thought that the Alpha would be my mate.

“What's your name Mate!” He used his Alpha voice on me.

I flinched away from him. I could hear the murmuring of the people when the light shone on me. A familiar voice echoed in horror.

“Natasha what the hell are you doing here!!!” Irene emerged from the crowd.

“You know her?” Alpha Gabriel asked Irene he didn't take his eyes off me.

“Alpha Gabriel, she is the Omega, the one who caused my father's death.” My cousin spoke with much venom.

The people gasped in horror. My mate took some steps back. The tears were now forming in my eyes as I saw the look on Alpha Gabriel's eyes.

“She is Natasha Blake, my Alpha.” Irene wrapped her hands around Alpha Gabriel's arm.

“Look at me!” He ordered.

“I Alpha Gabriel Fernandez of the Silver Claw Pack rejects Natasha Blake as my one and only fated mate.”
