LOGINI should have known.” Teresa burst into laughter. “Mom, what's wrong?” Irene asked curiously. Teresa's grip on my hands was too tight. I tried to remove her hands but she pulled me back . “ Natasha Blake here is pregnant.” My eyes widened at Teresa's words. “WHAT!!” Irene growled. “Aunt…you..are.. mistaken.” I shook my head. I can't be pregnant, this is not supposed to happen to me not now!! “WHO IS THE FATHER!!” Teresa growled in annoyance. “I'm not…pregnant Aunt Teresa.” I tried to deny it. “You wench!!” Irene slapped me across the face. “I'm…saying…the truth.” I tried reasoning. “Fine.” Aunt Teresa stopped Irene from hitting me again. Natasha finds her mate on the mating ceremony day but is rejected and threatened. Natasha's POV I didn't know if it was the cold of the morning or the sharp pain from my body that forced me to open my eyes. I stood up shakingly fear gripped me when I heard the footsteps of my aunt.My eyes darted to the doorknob when I heard the squeaking sound. “Aunt Teresa…..” I swallowed my saliva. “You are still asleep!!” She yelled. I flinched at her voice. I hurriedly went to her and knelt down. My head bowed and my hands trembled as I held the hem of her cloth. “I'm sorry Auntie….. I didn't mean to wake up late…I slept late. I was busy washing the clothes you gave me till midnight.” “Get your filthy hands away from me.” She pushed me hard. “You know my friends and I have a meeting here and I'm the host. What did I tell you to do!!” She yelled. “To prepare the…. food ... .before 6am.” I stuttered. I didn't mean to wake up very late. I was so stressed out from the mountain of clothes she asked me to wash. Getting on her bad side wasn't what I planned this morning. My cousin walked in the moment my aunt wanted to slap me. “What's the noise about mom?” Irene, my cousin , yawned tiredly. “Ask this wench.” Teresa yanked my hair. “If you want to kill her, do it quietly and don't disturb the neighborhood.” Irene went back to her room. I was left alone with Teresa. She locked the door immediately. I knew all hell was going to break loose. “I…. can….. explain….” I didn't finish my words when she landed several punches on me. After what it looks like decades she left me.I knew there were going to be new bruises on my skin. The one from yesterday hasn't fully healed. I dragged my feet as soon as she left and went to the kitchen as she instructed, preparing the meals before the said time seemed impossible.I sighed painfully and started cooking. “Natasha!!!” “Get down here!!!” I left the laundry that I was doing and I ran as soon as I heard Teresa's voice. My heart skipped a beat when I saw some of the women in the pack. They were Teresa's friends. Didn't they like the food?? Did I do something wrong? I thought to myself as I walked calmly to her side I could feel the intense glares shot at me. I quickly bowed my head since it was like a taboo for an Omega to stare at a high rank wolf and from the aura around, these women were strong. “What's this?” One of them pointed to the Abalone porridge I cooked. . “Abalone porridge” I said softly. “No, I thought it was Potato salad.” The woman scoffed. “I can't believe you allowed an Omega to serve us Teresa,do we mean that little to you?” The woman stood up in anger and took her bag. “Guys don't act that way. I was short of hands that's why I asked her to do it. Please give me another chance to make it up to you.” Teresa pleaded with the women as they all took their bags one after the other and left. They left after much pleading. I knew they did it intentionally. They didn't want Teresa in the so-called group they were forming so they used me as an excuse. “OUCH!!!” I screamed as I felt the hot liquid on me. “That's what you get for ruining my plans, you worthless being!!!” She slammed the bowl of the porridge she had just poured on me on the table. “You know what I want you out of my house!!!” She yanked my hair with so much force. “You can't do that please.” I sobbed. “I can do what I want, this is my house.” She pushed me outside. With a huge impact I fell hard and my leg hit a stone In the process.I wailed in pain. I scrambled to her side and held her knees. I wept bitterly because I knew no one was going to take an Omega I wasn't wanted by the pack members. Teresa throwing me out would make things terrible for me. “Please think about my late uncle's wish!” “Think about the promise you made to him…” I tried pleading again. “Don't think you can use that trump card on me, you literally caused my husband's death!!!” Her wolf growled in anger. Teresa shut the door of the house in anger. I knelt by the porch and wept. I wasn't going to go anywhere. I would keep crying until she changed her mind. The only sin I committed was coming to this world as an Omega…. Omega are the weakest in the pack, useless members of the pack, they are rare in the pack and as for my pack the Silver Claw Pack I was the only Omega. I wasn't loved by the pack members because there was nothing I was doing for them. I was the last in the food chain. The only person that loved me was my uncle and he died while saving me from the rogues. He was the Delta of the pack at that time. “What are you doing out here?” I heard a familiar voice. I scrunched my eyes and saw Irene wearing an amused look. I didn't know I slept off. It was dark already. “Aunt Teresa and I had a fight.” I replied. “What does that have to do with you slacking off out here? Are you even done with the chores I asked you to do!” She squared her arms. “No.” I bowed my head sadly. I waited for a slap or anything from Irene. I looked up and saw her march inside angrily after a couple of minutes she came back outside. “Mom said you can come in but you aren't going to sleep until you finish my chores.” She ordered before going back in. I stood up and dragged my aching feet back and I walked towards Irene's room to ask her what she needed me to do but stopped when I heard her and Teresa talking slowly. “You don't have to be worried anymore about her.” Irene hugged her. “Is it true what you said?” Teresa pulled away from the hug. I brought my face closer to the key lock. They were so engrossed in the conversation that they didn't perceive my scent. “Yes, Alpha Gabriel has come up with the law to kill all Omega so you don't have to be worried about Natasha any longer.” Irene said coldly. “Alpha Gabriel is going to kill me!” My heart thundered nervously at Irene's words.Ryan's POVAnd I meant it. Over the next week, I learned Natasha's new routine. She threw up almost every morning, sometimes multiple times. The smell of certain foods made her sick. Coffee, which she used to love, now sent her running to the bathroom.I started getting up early to make her dry toast and ginger tea. I kept crackers on her nightstand. I learned which foods she could tolerate and which ones she couldn't even look at."I feel useless," Natasha said one morning, lying on the couch with a cold cloth on her forehead."I can barely function."I sat down on the floor beside her, taking her hand. "You're not useless. You're creating life. That takes everything you've got.""I'm supposed to be taking care of Jayden and the house and-""And I'm here to help with all of that," I interrupted. "That's what I'm for. You focus on taking care of yourself and the baby. I'll handle everything else."Tears filled her eyes. "You're being so good about this.”"Natasha, this is our baby. O
A New Beginning Ryan's POVThe moment Natasha heard the news from me that she was pregnant her world stopped. That's all it took to change everything."Ryan?" Natasha's voice trembled as she held the stick toward me. "Are you seeing what I'm seeing?"I blinked hard, making sure I wasn't imagining things. "Is that... are you...""I'm pregnant," She whispered, her eyes filling with tears.I grabbed her and pulled her into my arms so fast that she let out a small gasp. "We're having a baby. We're actually having another baby!"Natasha laughed through her tears, burying her face in my chest. "I can't believe it. I thought maybe I was just late, but then I felt different, you know?”.."And now we're going to have another child," I finished for her, pulling back to look at her face. She was glowing already, or maybe that was just my imagination running wild. "Natasha, this is incredible. This is the best news.""You're happy?" She asked, searching my eyes. "Really happy? Because I know
Natasha's POVI woke up suddenly in the middle of the night with a sharp sickness rising in my chest. It came so fast that I barely had time to sit up. My hand flew to my mouth as I rushed out of the bed and into the bathroom.I barely made it to the toilet before throwing up heavily. My whole body shook as it happened again and again. My throat burned. Tears filled my eyes without me trying. I gripped the edge of the toilet, breathing hard, feeling weak and confused.“Natasha.”Ryan’s voice came immediately. He was already there, kneeling beside me, one hand holding my hair back, the other rubbing my back.“It’s okay,” He said softly. “I’m here.”I shook my head, unable to answer. Another wave came, and I threw up again. My stomach felt empty, but my body kept forcing more out. I felt helpless.Ryan reached for a towel and wiped my mouth gently when it finally stopped.“Easy,” He said. “Take slow breaths.”“I don’t know what’s wrong,” I whispered. “It won’t stop.”“We’ll figure it
Ryan's POVThe months passed quietly, the kind of quiet that comes after long storms. Stability did not arrive suddenly. It came slowly, day by day, decision by decision. Problems were solved, old wounds were addressed, trust was rebuilt as Alpha, I stayed alert, but I no longer woke up every morning expecting trouble. The pack was finally steady.I stood on the balcony that morning, looking down at the training field that had now turned into a play area for pups. Laughter filled the air, real laughter, the kind that came without fear behind it.Jayden was down there. My son was walking now not perfectly, but confidently. His steps were uneven, his balance still learning, but his determination was strong. He moved from one pup to another, holding onto small shoulders, laughing loudly whenever he almost fell.I felt my chest tighten with emotion as I watched him.“He’s getting faster.” Natasha said behind me.I turned and smiled. “Too fast.”She walked up beside me, resting her arm
