Chapter 16: Missions?

Su Lan thought back to the system mission and pondered what to do going forward. The more she thought about it the more upset she got. She was told that her mission was just to stay alive before! Now she has to take on a weird mission that was out of character for her! Can they be more unreasonable! 

Only if she knew that not so far in the future her missions would be even more unreasonable.

Su Lan brought up the info screen again and looked at the mission. As if the system knew what she had thought there was new information on it.

Mission 1

Go and make some friends outside of the manor. 

Get invited to their home and find out ..... will tell you when you get there.

Mission time: 1 Week

Mission reward: Undecided

Mission punishment: Undecided

Dear Great (50x) granddaughter,

You may have wondered why in addition to your mission to live there are additional missions... well the answer is, your great (50x) grandpa, I thought your lifestyle is too dull and needs to be more colorful. Aren't you surprised! Aren't you excited! No need to thank me! Oh, right! Before I forget since I am still exploring the other worlds my job in this world will become your missions too. Adiós my great (50x) granddaughter!

Su Lan's face becomes pitch black.

In Su Lan's mind: Who wants to thank you! What excitement! She is about to have a heart attack okay!  In other words, he wants to mess with her and throw his work at her!

This happened all while she was still sitting on the bench.

Prince Jun called her a few times before she finally realized he was speaking.

Su Lan: "Sorry, I was thinking about something."

Prince Jun: "It's fine. What were you thinking of? Your face was black."

Su Lan: "Ah, something annoying."

Prince Jun saw she didn't want to explain so he started to introduce the two boys beside him. One was General Mike's second son Luke and the other was Frank the third son from the Duke household.

Prince Ran, Luke, and Frank took her around the town to explore but she got separated from them in the crowd. She stopped and looked around her but couldn't find their figures. Su Lan gave up looking for them afterwhile. When she finally stopped looking for them she remembered something important! 

Su Lan (in her mind): Ahhh! I didn’t ask them where to look for friends in town! How did this end up as town exploration and child loss and found route?!

Of course in Su Lan’s mind the child that was lost was definitely not her. As for finding them, she tried her best but no luck. So she gave up. Afterall, they had headed to town themselves and Su Lan could sense they had bodyguards with them.

As she turned around she saw a cute accessory on a store window. She didn't know why but had a feeling the accessory was calling her. As Su Lan walked up to the jewelry store that feeling was even stronger.

She stopped right in front of the store and stared at it.

Su Lan (in her mind): This is such a cliche plot. In all the online novels the main lead usually would meet this type of situation. This is either actually something that would help her increase her strength or another mission pitfall.

Unsure of whether to go in or not Su Lan stood there for 3 minutes then walked away. She decided it based on the medicinal god character it most likely nothing good.

After turning around and walking 2 steps. 

Ding! The info screen once again pops out.

Mission 2: Go in the store and purchase the item that is calling you.

Su Lan (in her mind): I knew it! This is a pitfall!

Su Lan sighed and walked in.

When she went up to the display of the accessory she turned and left.

Su Lan (in her mind): Why???!!!! Why is it here in this world too!

On the display was a pink charm Hello Kitty bracelet. As for Su Lan's reaction, it was because she saw that cat Hello Kitty again.

Ever since she was small everyone would think she liked Hello Kitty probably because of her childish appearance. So whenever, her friends, relatives or family members would give her a gift it would have Hello Kitty on it. Although Su Lan didn't love or hate it, it got annoying. She really wanted to tell them she didn't like Hello Kitty but she couldn't say it. If she said something like that it was basically telling them she hated all their gifts. All Su Lan could do was smile and thank them for their gifts. Along with thanking them she even had to say she loved their gift. Knowing she could get away from it she could only unintentionally imply to them the items she liked. Who knew they would give her Hello Kitty stickers. They said she could stick it on the gift they gave her when it was set up. 

Su Lan (in her mind): NO! I deliberately choose items of different brands just to not have Hello Kitty gifts! Why after all this they still give me Hello Kitty stickers to stick on it.

Su Lan (in reality to her relative): “Wow! Thanks, I love it. I will definitely use it.” 

Su Lan (in her mind): I will say that for now. They probably would notice if I didn’t use it. Thank god no one heads to my room. 

If a person opens her closet they will see boxes of Hello Kitty items. 

Su Lan (in her mind): Donate! Definitely donate all these items! Can stickers be donated? 

In her mind, she wanted to say even giving her Charming Kitty was better than giving her Hello Kitty.

Su Lan who thought she would finally get away from the Hello Kitty curse in this world. Who knew she just found out she couldn't!

Ding! Mission alert! Buy the charm bracelet or there will be punishment!

Su Lan glared at the screen and walked away.

Ding! System alert! Mission alert! Punishment alert! 

Su Lan's head had alert sounds that kept going off. The alerts caused her to have a headache. Without any choice and not wanting to be punished she could only listen as told.

Su Lan grinded her teeth as she turned back and headed into the store.
