Chapter 18

Opening her eyes to a new day, Alyssa felt them hurt as she was greeted by the natural light that was entering the room from the window. Looking infront of her, she found Zane embracing her to his chest. Their bodies were touching, what separated them was only the thin clothes which they were wearing. She felt her heart thump frantically as her cheeks heat tinting a deep red that could be hardly seen on her chocolate cheeks. She was too close to him. Closer than they had ever been.

They were both sleeping on some blankets as they covered their bodies with a navy sheet. She looked at his pale face with his eyes closed. His eyelashes seemed long and his pink lips too inviting. She was entranced by his beauty. He still looked very handsome even in his sleep. Feeling her pillow move, she realised she had been sleeping on his arm all night. 'I hope he didn't mind.' She thought attempting to rise and sit.
