LIAM'S POV

As I sat at the table, trying to appear as indifferent as possible, I couldn't ignore the fact that the meal was actually pretty good. The flavors were simple, but they hit just right, something homemade and honest in a way that my usual, upscale meals rarely managed. But I wasn’t about to let on. Amelia seemed to be enjoying herself too, smiling and chatting with the familiar faces passing by our table, a soft glow in her expression that I didn’t see often.

Meanwhile, Felix was practically bouncing in his seat. He had this huge grin plastered across his face, clearly thrilled by the food and atmosphere.
