I wake up to find my worst fear realized. I am going to high school today! Another year , gosh i am so hating this.

I get up and head for the bathroom, I brush my teeth. And then take a shower. Since it's the first day of school, I decided to dress as good as possible even though not meaning to brag but I have awesome sense of style!

I am so ready for school. Lies.

I go downstairs to find Ezra and Jasmine having break fast.

"He's finally up!" Ezra says "are you excited about today kiddo" he asked. I have a feeling he knows I am not. I just hissed and sat down.

"Korede, don't mind him o. On his first day of school he cried outta his mind" Jasmine commented. We both laughed at his fake pout.

After breakfast I went outside to see my dad waiting for me in the car. I had a car in Nigeria now I have legs, so yeah dad said he'll get me, Ezra and Jasmine cars once we're all settled in but until then I have to wait for him to take and pick me from school. Gosh my life has changed for the worst. Dang!! I have become as sensitive as a girl.

"Are you ready?" My dad asked breaking me out of my reverie

"I don't have a choice, let's just get this day over with" I said

"Kai! The sooner you let go of the attitude, the better for all of us" he said, the annoyance evident in his voice.

We got to the school by 8:06am students were already roaming about. If this was Nigeria, they'd be all lined up by now for assembly. Who am I kidding this is better than a Nigerian school though.

I got out of the car "Okay, bye Dad" I said and got out of the car.

"Bye" he replied and then he drove off.

I went straight to the principal's office.

I rapped the door twice before the principal said to come in.

When I came in, I saw a man with glasses and bald hair.

"Hi, I am assuming you are Korede Bello?" He asked

"Yes sir I am" I replied trying to be as courteous as I can.

"Okay so here's your schedule for the semester. And have a lovely day" he said "Oh and I am Mr Floyd" he added and smiled

"Okay, nice to meet you" I said and smiled back and then walked out.

I found the locker number. As I was arranging my books in it I heard a familiar voice "KB!" I turned around and saw Emma and Randy coming towards me.

"Hey guys" I said

"Hi, you didn't tell me you were transferring here"

"Yeah, just found out recently" I lied

" So dude, what's your first class?" Randy asked

"Literature" I replied after looking at my schedule

"Hey that's my class too" Randy said

"Really?" I said "then I guess we'll go together."

"Hey, do you play soccer?" He asked

"Yeah, I do"

"Then you should come try out for the team"

"That'll be great" I replied

"So I guess we'll go to the field together?" Emma said

"Mhm"

"Sure babe" Randy said

"Okay, I have to go. I'll catch up with you later" Emma said. She kissed Randy, waved me and went off.

The doctors said it would be another two weeks before I could go back to recording music. But what I really wanted to do was go and hunt Kyle and Linda down. The kids couldn't go to school anymore because we were afraid it was a security threat. Emma was really stubborn and would not allow KB to persuade her to stop going to work. And everytime she stepped out the door, my heart started to beat fast. What if something happened to my wife? How would we cope without Emma? My mind would start to ask all the questions. And then she'd come back home and I would breath easy.I was about to get up to have my shower when my phone started to ring.It was Ezra."Hey." I said after I had answered it."Hey kiddo. How are you?" I scoffed. I was about to turn 31 but he was still calling me t

I prayed silently in my heart, praying that nothing bad had happened to KB.When we got to the hospital, I spotted Mrs. B walking towards us."He woke up! He woke up!" She yelled continuesly. The worried look on my face turned to a smile. The tears of happiness started to pour down my face immediately I heard it."Oh my God! I thought he had died!" I said through my tears.

Emma's POV"I still can't believe he's not yet out of his coma!" I told Ezra. It had been three weeks since KB had been shot and two weeks since he slipped into a coma.I was scared that he wouldn't wake up.The police were still investigating what had happened and who had done this. But I sort of had an idea. It had to be Kyle and Linda. No one else could have done it."My brother is very strong and he'll come out of it." He said but the look in his eyes told me that he found what he said hard to believe.Mrs. Bello was a mess. She wasn't eating or sleeping anymore. It was almost like she'd lost her will to live. She spent most of her time talking to KB's unconscious body because she really believed he could hear her. I talked to him sometimes too.I missed him so much. Jacob and Justin can't stop asking about their father. We had to tell them for the mean time that he had traveled. But they weren't fooled. They knew some

We have planning to do."~*~KB's POV"Congratulations, Korede Bello. You have now been signed to Columbia records." The manager Mr. Davis McReynolds said.I grinned widely and shook his hand."Thanks a lot."The picture of me signing my contract was sent to my phone and I put it on my Instagram. But in all fairness, you haven't been there in like two years. There's only so much video conferencing they can take." Ezra said with food stuffed in his mouth. I have always told him to stop because it was a bad habit but after a life time of begging I gave up."Look, we're not going back." I said."Yes we are." Emma said softly.Everyone turned to look at her with surprise written all over their faces. Especially me."What are you talking about?" I asked her."I am saying, it is time for us to go back.
