Chapter 9: Maybe I picked the wrong beta?

Alexander POV;

My men locked me in my wolf form in my bedroom since last night. I awoke to find myself naked on the floor and exhausted. Atlas was nowhere calm yesterday. All he wanted was to go back to his mate in the dungeons. I kept fighting him over power the whole night until both of us lost to sleep. I pulled on my robe before heading for the conference room where I felt Robert calling me from through the sound wave recognition.

I held the handle of the conference room door, but I stopped before twisting it when I felt that many of the pack members were inside. I could feel all of them through the sound waves recognition. I tied my robe and secured the tie before twisting the handle and stepping inside.

Once inside, I saw that the highest ranks of the pack members were inside standing around the huge oval table at the center of the room. All were cheering, some even started congratulating me and others hugged me. Stephan noticed my confused face and said "we are proud of you b
