I’ve been trying to speak to Casper again but have been unable to. I had no idea about where he lived or how to reach out to him, a very frustrating feeling. Plus, due to lack of proper experience and practice, my mind linking abilities was really poor. I could only properly mind-link the Alpha — not like I was ever going to— my sister, Mason, and Ava, and I could also be mind linked by someone else, but for others, it was terrible.

I heaved a sigh and turned the door knob to Crystal's room open, forgetting to knock again.

“Seriously, Mae? You don’t know what knocking means?” Crystal scoffed.

“Sorry,” I sheepishly apologized and sauntered to her on the bed. “Where’s Mason?” I wondered, taking a seat beside her.

“He’s in the bathroom.” She said and added, “washing his hands.”

“Oh, okay.”

“I bet you’re bored again?” she asked and pointed at a box. “Pass it to me.”

“Yes, I’m very bored.”
