I went back to my room and laid down staring at the ceiling. I hadn't realized that they thought that way about me. I wasn't mad or sad, it was just something I had to accept. I was roused out of my musings when someone knocked.

"Who is it?" I yelled.

"It's me, Victor," he replied.

A small smile began to spread on my face. "Come in."

He pushed the door open and made a beeline for me. He kissed me and then lay down beside me. "Hey."

"Hey. Where have you been?" I enquired.

"I went for a run. Then a quick dip in the stream. Very nice."

"That sounds lovely."

He must have heard something in my voice because he sat up, then propped his head on his palm and looked at me. "Are you ok?" Victor asked, cocking his head.
