The pack festival

"A pack festival?" I asked, incredulous.

"Yes," he replied, nodding absently as he reached out and nabbed a piece of my fries.

It's always one thing or the other in this pack. First, a welcoming ball and now a pack festival? I'm not in the mood for all this. I hate all this and I just want to go home and have family around me again.

"What do you hate?"

Startled, I turned my gaze to Conan who was looking at me with a brow raised, chewing on the fry he had taken from my plate.

"Did I say that out loud?"

"Not really, you were murmuring so I couldn't hear you well. Are you okay?"

A day after I had made my declaration about us being just co-conspirators in my revenge plan, he came by during my lunch hours with takeout.

I had ignored him, focusing on the patient records I was going through. He had tried to get me to eat with him but eventually stopped when I wouldn't stop icing him out. He remained, however, and continued eating his portion of his meal, only smirking and saying nothing
