Chapter Fifty Eight

Nadia's throat suddenly felt dry as she stared at her younger brother in his vulnerability.

"Say something. Please,"

His words brought her out of her thoughts. He was not the only one staring at her like she had a solution to the situation on ground. Lilian, Rita, Aaron, and Charles were also staring expectantly at her.

"I..." She was saying, then swallowed painfully. "I don't know what to say.

"Say you've forgiven me and that you'll help me meet Nancy."

"I don't think I can be of help to you."

"Why?"

"The damage is beyond control,"

"How?"

"You hurt Nancy so bad and she wants nothing to do with you."

"I expected to hear that because I know I've done so much to hurt her."

"Plus you of all people know how stubborn she can be."

"I made her a promise."

"It doesn't matter, Nadia. You don't wish her bad. I'm not going to cause her any more pain. I'm only trying to make amends. I want to see her and talk to her."

"Please." He said when Nadia said nothing.
