The tension between the Wolf King and the Triplet Alphas was heavy. The Wolf King finally let me go making me fall to the ground weakly. I gagged trying to catch my breath while Kael and Talon appeared by my side to check on me.

" Are you alright?" Talon asked as he stared at me.

"Chloe!" Kael screamed as I collapsed leaning against his chest.

My vision blurred as Kael’s voice echoed in my ears. My chest heaved painfully, each breath burning like fire. I clung to Kael’s shirt, my fingers trembling as Kael burned the chains around my hand with fire.

“Stay with me,” he whispered, his arms wrapping around me protectively.

I felt Talon’s hand on my shoulder as Kael lifted me up into his arms.

“Move away from her,” the Wolf King growled as he took a step forward only for Jett to tighten his grip around the dagger he was holding.

Jett's hand trembled but he tried to keep his calm. I knew he didn't want to hurt his own father but at the same time, he wanted to protect me.

CHLOE The city never slept. Even at night, the streets outside the tall house buzzed with cars, horns, and voices. It was nothing like home. No forests. No moonlight on the trees. Just concrete and noise. I pulled the curtains tighter in Lily’s bedroom, tucking her in while she clutched her stuffed rabbit. She was only six, small and soft-eyed, and she had somehow decided I was safe. Maybe safer than her own father. “Don’t go,” she whispered, her small hand gripping mine. “I’m not going anywhere,” I murmured, brushing her hair back softly. . She relaxed, her breaths evening as she drifted off. But my chest tightened. I couldn’t let myself get attached. If anyone here discovered what I was, if they realized the truth about my wolf and the sire bond it carried, I’d have to run again to a new city. I leaned back closing my eyes when a loud cough echoed in the room. I turned, my pulse spiking. Adrian Hart leaned against the doorway, arms crossed, his sharp eyes locked o

KAEL Graduation was finally around the corner. The cool air pressed against my skin, my wolf and dragon driving me crazy as I jogged around with the football team. Girls cheered loudly from the sidelines watching us while our coach stood with his arms folded. Although they were all screaming my name, I didn't care. Everything felt too hollow to my ears. “Captain, you good?” one of the guys asked, but his voice felt distant. I bent down, my head pounding. " I'm good. Just a little headache." I lied getting up to my feet. I wasn't. The broken mating bond was taking a toll on me. Chloe She had been gone for months now. No messages, no trace. Just gone after she had stood in front of all three of us and shattered our mating bond. The emptiness she left behind carved into me sharper than any blade. I could feel my dragon clawing inside me, restless, whispering her name over and over. My wolf wasn’t any better, howling in the back of my mind like he was searching for he

“Is this the place where the curse is supposed to be broken? Are you sure?” I asked as the Triplet Alphas led me down into the underground passage. The air grew colder the deeper we went. Stone walls pressed in on either side, damp and rough beneath my fingertips. Water dripped from the ceiling, echoing through the tunnel like a steady heartbeat. I couldn't believe places like this still existed. Kael walked in front, his broad shoulders rigid. The torchlight he carried threw long shadows that twisted across his sharp jaw. Jett was behind me, his hand brushing my back whenever I stumbled on the uneven ground. Talon stayed at my side, his icy eyes glowing faintly in the dark, his fingers sparking with sparks of blue magic to light our path. “I don’t like this,” Jett muttered, his voice echoing through the tunnel. “If this goes wrong—” “It won’t,” Kael cut him off. His tone was firm, but I caught the hesitation in his step. The passage finally widened into a cavern. My breath

CHLOE The smell of my mates and baking hit me before I opened my eyes. Rolling off the bed, I stood up and stretched, my joints popping softly. My curls tumbled over my shoulders, messy and wild as I stared in the mirror. The scent grew stronger as I opened the door. Sweet cakes, butter, cinnamon. My stomach growled. The hallway glittered faintly as I walked out into it. Someone had sprinkled tiny glowing orbs along the floor, floating like fireflies. I blinked, realizing it was a spell. Talon. As soon as I reached the stairs, voices broke into a loud cheer. “Happy Birthday, Chloe!” I nearly tripped. Kael was standing in the middle of the living room, arms crossed, looking too serious for a party. Above him, dozens of silver balloons floated, bumping against the ceiling. Jett leaned against the couch, smirking, flour dusting his black shirt. And Talon stood behind a table piled with food, his usually cold eyes soft for once. I pressed a hand to my mouth. “You… did this?”

JETT Months Later " Chloe, common. The food will be finished." Aurelia shouted, dragging Chloe's arm as she led her towards the cafeteria. All of us looked tired but we didn't mind though. We had been up all night exploring even more boundaries of pleasure. My vampire instincts kicked in. The smell of blood. In the past, I had been able to control them but now things were getting tricky. I couldn't control myself. I went after the scent. Dashing up the stairs, I ran past most of the students, no one able to stop me. Just as I was about to reach the clinic, I hit an unknown wall causing me to fly back to the ground. I groaned in pain, wiping the blood of my lips. Stupid Talon. This had to be his doing. " You know, if you want blood, you can just take from me." A voice echoed in my ears, the scent of blood too strong for me to deny. I got up in a flash and went over. It was Peyton. I swallowed. Her blood was red and fresh, full of all the nutritions
