Mag-log inYou get two today.
JudeWhen Sadique met Zach and I in the lobby of the Academic building, I knew Councilman Warren was confronting Wendy about not telling him she was moving out. It’s not the first time Wendy has tried to go around her father, but to my knowledge, this is the first time she got caught before her actions were complete.I was already getting excited about the idea of having easy access to Wendy. I know it’s only a week, but we’ve had times, like when we were on assignment together with Alpha Squad or when we were in California, that I’ve been able to sleep with her. Both Saggio and I feel calmer and more peaceful when Wendy is lying in our arms. With all the stress that we’ve been under recently, I was hoping to have some of that peace this week. If I have to wait another week, so be it. I’ve been patient this long, and I’m in the final stretch. I can wait a little longer.Zach and Sadique let me know they are going to wait, but I take the dolly back up to Wendy’s room. When I hear her a
WendyAfter breakfast, Sadique leads me down the hallway where our rooms will be. Since it’s such a small school, there’s only one hallway with twenty rooms and community bathrooms. The five of us walk to my room. When I open the door, the room is sparce and smells like cleaner.I step into the space, looking around. There’s a bed, a closet, and a desk with a chair.“They make sure you don’t have any distractions, don’t they?” I ask.“It’s meant to study and sleep. Most of the time, you’ll either study with someone, or you’ll go somewhere else to study so you don’t get cabin fever,” Jude says, walking up behind me and putting his arms around me. “We can make it feel like your space, Wendy.”I nod. "I guess I never really paid attention when Yorrie was here. I think I’m going to have to downsize what I planned to bring.”“I have space in my room if you need it,” he says, resting his chin on my shoulder.“Thanks, Jude. Okay, are we ready to go get my things?”“Let’s do it!” Sadique says
WendyI am very excited to finally move to the Academy. As much as I love my parents, I’m ready to spread my wings and start my own life. Now, since I’ll be at the Academy, if I decide to work in Jude’s room, I won’t have a curfew and if I happen to sleep in his room, no one except the two of us will know. The closer I get to my birthday, the closer I feel to him. I really, really hope that we’re mates. I feel like I’ll be devastated if we’re not.The next morning, I meet Jude, Sadique, and Zach at the Academy’s cafeteria. I told my mom I was moving to the Academy today, but not my dad. I’m hoping that he’s busy enough that he doesn’t really notice until it’s done. It’s not that I think he’ll tell me not to move my things, I just don’t want to have to go back to the Medical Center for the rest of the week. That room was always temporary for me while I waited for my time at the Academy. When I walk in the doors of the Academy, Jude is there, waiting for me.“Good morning, gorgeous. How
SteelWhen I walk into Libby’s hospital room, I’m not surprised to see Nevaeh. She’s been by my side, supporting me, since I arrived here at the Academy.“How is she?” I ask, walking to the other side of the bed and taking Libby’s hand.“The same. How was the mission?”“Fucking assholes. They threatened to hurt that woman’s pup if she said anything,” I say, staring at the unconscious face of my mate. One of the reasons I agreed to come back to the Academy was because Libby slipped into a coma. I needed something to help me get through my days and the council was happy to have me back when everything happened with Leo.“I’m guessing you and the other elite squads found a way around that since you know that they were threatening her pup,” she says.I grin. “Yeah, I got to punch an asshole in the face and knock him out.”She holds my gaze. “Is he still alive?”Nevaeh knows how often I go to the gym to take my frustrations out on a punching bag. It was easier during the school year when I
JudeThe minute Siren stepped into the packhouse, I knew they had a scrambler.“Hijack.”“I’m on it. Watch the monitors to make sure no one sneaks up on my team.”“I’ve got it,” Wendy says. “You help Hijack. We need our eyes and ears back.”I grin. I’ll be kissing her again later because of the amazing woman she is. But for now, I focus on the task at hand, while watching the warriors outside the van. Hex is standing outside the packhouse so he can hear us and alert the others if something goes wrong. Steel stayed with Siren and Councilwoman Rebecca, and Titan is somewhere in between so he can relay messages if necessary.Hijack and I have worked together for three years. We’re good partners and we complement each other well. His skill set is different from mine, so we each focus on what we’re good at. I begin to hack into Alpha Casey’s system while Hijack begins to override the scrambler. When he tells me to do a mic check, I realize we’re back online. I have Wendy begin looking for t
Megan“We’re going to find your pup. While we wait, can you tell us anything else about what’s going on in this pack? Are there other women like you who have been forced into a mate bond?” Councilwoman Rebecca asks.“I honestly don’t know. I’m not allowed to leave my room except to go to the pack hospital. Zul told everyone that I lost my first pup and that I’ve been on bedrest so no one would question why I was never out of my room,” she says.“Did you accept Alpha Casey as your Alpha?” Councilwoman Rebecca asks her.She laughs humorlessly. “Yes, before Zul forced me into a mate bond. Alpha Casey is well aware that I was forced into this bond.”“What about Beta Rhett?” I ask, wanting to know if my instincts are right about him.She shakes her head. “I never accepted him as my Beta. As far as I know, they told him I wasn’t well enough to become a full member of the pack.“So you’re only connection to this pack is Alpha Casey and your mate, through the forced bond?” Councilwoman Rebecca
