LOGINFinally we get the confirmation we've been waiting for!
JudeIt was a risk giving Wendy that necklace before we know if we’re mates, but I needed her to know, even without the bond, that I truly love her.”As we count down to midnight, I watch her. I know Saggio is ready to claim Dasha as his mate, even if the Moon Goddess doesn’t make her mine, but I really hope she does.As I begin to count down from ten, I watch her. Saggio pushes forward when he sees Dasha in Wendy's eyes. When I get to one, her eyes close and she lifts her head, inhaling a deep breath. The moment she opens her eyes, I know.“Mate!” our wolves growl in unison.Saggio snarls possessively, slamming his mouth against hers.I’ve always loved the way Wendy smelled and tasted, but I suddenly see what every fated mate I’ve ever known meant about the love you feel for someone before the mate bond being nothing compared to what it is when you find your fated mate.Wendy has just become the air that I breathe. She’s the sunlight that brightens every day. She’s the moonlight that
SteelI watch as the cadets walk toward the dorms to get lunch before afternoon classes on Friday.“Nevaeh, this is the weekend,” I say.“Are you sure, Michael?” she asks.“No, but many people will be away from the Academy this weekend for Wendy Hill’s birthday party so it seems like a good time.”“Do you need me to do anything for you?” she asks, resting her hand on my arm.“Not right now.”“Call me, day or night, I don’t care what time it is, I don’t care if you tell me you need me there with you, I’ll be there. You and Libby were there for me after Richard died and it meant everything to me. Now it’s my turn to be there for you.”I nod. “Thanks, Nevaeh. I may take you up on that offer.”“I hope you do.”I walk to the Academy’s hospital, to Libby’s room which has become more of my place of residence than my own quarters here at the Academy.“Are you sure about this Alpha Michael? I can keep her alive indefinitely,” Dr. Yara says.I nod, staring at the face of my mate.“She wouldn’t
JudeWatching my sister call Gage mate made my heart sink. I know there are worse Alphas out there. Goddess knows I’m helping to put as many of them away as possible, but if my sister decides to accept Gage, she’s got her work cut out for her.My father and Riley glance at me.‘It’s not ideal,’ I say in the mind link. ‘His father was the one on trial today. He was convicted of murder. Both he and Gage’s older brother were part of the human trafficking ring.’‘Was HE part of it?’ my father growls in the mind link.‘No. We haven’t found anything to show that he was. Also, while he believed his father and brother in the beginning that Piper was lying to get them in trouble, he realized quickly that they were the ones lying. I have no idea what’s going on in his pack, but they were run by Alphas who were leaders in a human trafficking ring for years. Their Beta was arrested for forcing a woman into a mate bond, so this pairing is far from ideal.’I watch my mother walk over to my father.
GageI didn’t want to take the time away from the pack to meet some she-wolf from the west coast who is looking for her mate, but Piper has helped me a lot, so I agreed.‘It would be nice to find our mate, too,’ Tybalt, my wolf, grumbles in my head.‘Yeah, because every she-wolf out there is just dying to bond herself to a man whose father and older brother have been convicted of human trafficking and murder or accessory to murder.’‘That is on them. You recognized that they lied to us and were doing things they shouldn’t have been. You’re trying to turn things around in our pack.’That’s the crux of why I don’t want to be away from my pack. Honestly, I’m surprised Piper even suggested that I bring a strange she-wolf to our pack to try and meet her mate. My pack is full of unrest. I’ve had to battle one challenger after another to remain Alpha. I never trained to be an Alpha, not that my father was any kind of role model, so right now, I feel like I’m barely holding on to the peace in
IsobelI’m so nervous to be traveling to these packs. It’s not that I think anything bad will happen to me, but I’m excited to hopefully finally met my mate. However, I'm also prepared for disappointment if I don’t find him.Almost as soon as we arrived at Alpha Quirin and Luna Kennedy’s pack, they told me we needed to rearrange my tour schedule. Apparently, Luna Piper’s father is going to trial on Wednesday and she and Alpha Henry need to be in court. So, rather than going to their pack Tuesday night, we’re going tomorrow and staying in Alpha Connor’s back Tuesday night. He’s apparently going to court too, but he’s going to wait to drive to the city until Wednesday morning so he can help Luna Madison with their pups.I could tell my father was apprehensive about visiting Alpha Quirin’s pack. His reputation of being a fierce and dangerous Alpha has reached our packs out west. However, after seeing him with his family, after watching him with his pups, it’s hard for me to match the man
WendyThe weekend with our families went by way too fast. Jude and I had to make time to work, especially after speaking with Dad and Hijack and finding out we’ve been given approval to expand our search for traffickers nationwide. But overall, the weekend was an amazing blend of two families coming together as one.I think my favorite part was Saturday morning after warrior training when the hellions got to finally showcase their strength and skill to Jude’s family.“So Riley, are you ready to take on my girls?” Quirin asked. He grinned the feral grin he gets when he knows he’s about to best someone.Riley looked at the girls. “Do you want to spar with an Alpha?”Most of my family members chuckled. Riley was not getting started on the right foot with my nieces.“We spar with Alphas all the time, Alpha Riley,” Kendra said in a tone that somehow dressed him down for being stupid without being condescending enough to have Kennedy scolding her.“We are Alpha females, afterall, and we come
