Justine had stomped up to her room, slammed the door so loudly that it reverberated around the packhouse, then proceeded to pack or maybe just pout the rest of the night.

For good measure, I locked my bedroom door, not trusting her to try and get in my bed in the middle of the night.

First thing in the morning, I had breakfast sent to her room, since she hadn’t emerged.
