Cole

I had just finished shaking hands with the last investor in the room. A deal that had taken months of careful planning and negotiation had finally closed, and it couldn’t have gone smoother. Everyone left with wide smiles, nods of approval, and firm handshakes. The atmosphere was calm now, but I could still feel the rush inside my chest.

"That went well," Xavier said beside me, tucking his tablet into the side pocket of his leather bag.

I nodded, loosening the collar of my shirt a bit. "Very well."

We had about thirty minutes before our next meeting—just enough time to grab something to drink or eat.

"Let's get going," I told Xavier. He nodded, and we were just turning to leave when I heard someone call my name.

"Cole Buckman?"

I turned around and saw a familiar face approaching, grinning wide.

"Marcus? Marcus Greene?" I said in surprise.

"The one and only," he laughed, stretching out his hand. "Back in the city. Finally."

I shook his hand with a laugh. It had been a long time. M

  • Sweet Submission: Love Me, Mr. Billionaire    Amelia

Cole"Amelia..."The name slipped past my lips like a breath I didn't realize I'd been holding. My heart thudded against my chest, beating with disbelief and a raw ache I hadn’t felt in years. The chaos of the club around me disappeared for a split second. That was her.Amelia.I didn’t wait. I didn’t even think. My feet moved before my mind could catch up.I felt rage running through my veins. I stormed straight to the stage, my fists clenched tight at my sides. The drunk bastard who had grabbed her was still laughing, holding onto her arm like she was some kind of object. Amelia’s eyes were wide with fear, and her body trembled as she tried to push him away. I could barely breathe from the fury that consumed me.I reached them in three strides and threw a punch so hard that the man went crashing to the floor like a sack of potatoes. He didn’t move. A low gasp echoed through the crowd.Everyone froze. The music cut off mid-beat, like someone had pulled the plug on the whole place.Am

Skylar "We’re here, ma’am," the driver announced.I looked up from my phone, realizing I had barely noticed the drive. My thoughts had been scattered the entire way, tangled between half-finished tasks and designs. I let out a soft breath and gave the driver a small, appreciative smile. "Thank you."As I stepped out of the car, I tightened my coat around me and headed inside. The bar was stylish and cozy, filled with laughter, clinking glasses, and murmured conversations over low music.I looked around, scanning for a familiar face. Where was Amber? She was the one who had asked for this outing. She’d called last week, half-joking and half-pleading about how I had become a phantom—always busy, never around. Yet here I was. And she was nowhere in sight.I sighed and reached into my purse for my phone, already scrolling to her contact when I heard a voice behind me."Took you long enough," Amber said, grinning as she popped up behind me like a mischievous spirit.I laughed, turning a

  • Sweet Submission: Love Me, Mr. Billionaire    The Face Behind the Veil

ColeI took a long gulp of my drink, letting the whiskey burn its way down my throat like a fire meant to numb something inside me. I didn’t care what it was—a wound, a memory, a feeling. Whatever that dancer on the stage had stirred in me, I needed it gone. Or buried deep enough that I wouldn’t have to look it in the eye.The music had just ended, but the applause still thundered for her as people cheered. “Alright,” Marcus said suddenly, snapping me back. He swirled his drink with a grin. “I think it’s time we finally talked about the gem. And its price.”I turned my eyes to him, tearing my gaze away from the stage.“The Red Beryl gem is priceless, you understand,” Marcus continued, leaning forward like he was revealing some grand secret. “Not just rare. Unique. I mean, come on, Cole— you should already know that a gem like this doesn't just show up without a reason. So…”I nodded absent-mindedly as he spoke, but I couldn’t make myself focus on what he was saying. For an unknown r

  • Sweet Submission: Love Me, Mr. Billionaire    The Woman Beneath the Veil

ColeThe music was loud. Laughter and chatter filled the club. Everyone around me seemed to be enjoying themselves. But me? I sat there in the VIP box, my thoughts far away from the stage in front of me.I was looking at the performance below, but I wasn't really seeing anything.Marcus sat beside me, clearly excited. "Isn't this place great?" Marcus leaned in, grinning. “I told you you'd like this place.”I looked at him, but I didn’t answer. He kept talking, excitedly chattering about how he looked forward to Scarlet Veil's performance tonight.“Man, I’ve been waiting to see her perform live,” he said. “The whole city’s obsessed with her lately. This is going to be good.”Marcus kept talking, but his voice slowly faded in my ears. It was like someone had turned down the volume of the world around me.My thoughts were elsewhere.Skylar.I was thinking of her.Even here, she was still the only thing on my mind. I’d already started mapping out the plan in my head. After the show, I’d

EthanI paced back and forth in the living room, my hands clenched into fists, anger boiling just beneath my skin.“Ethan, please… sit down and calm yourself,” she said gently from the couch.I turned sharply to her. “Don’t tell me to calm down, Mother!”She blinked, clearly startled by my tone.“How long? How long are we going to keep tolerating this, huh?!” I snapped. “How long are we going to let Cole treat us this way?”Still, she said nothing—just stared at me with that same passive calmness that made my fists clench.“That bastard had the audacity to actually dismiss me!” I shouted, throwing my hands into the air. “He dismissed me outright. No hesitation, no courtesy, not even a shred of decency in front of others. What kind of humiliation is this?!”Mother sighed and pressed her fingers to her temples. “I’ve been speaking with his father. Trust me, before the week runs out—”“The week? I don’t have until the week runs out!” I cut her off harshly. “That’s what you said the last
