Twilight POV

“Lovely night we're having, isn't it?”

I turned around only to find Alex sitting by the window.

“And you could've used the door like a normal person,” I told him.

“I'm not normal and the window is much faster.”

“And pretty much the easiest way to get hurt.”

“But I didn't.”

“The guards could've mistaken you for someone trying to break in.”

“Not if I told them I was going to do this and asked for permission.”

“And they just let you?”

“Does mind control count?”

“Obviously not.”

“In other news, you really should make sure that your window is shut properly at this time. You never know who might pop in through it.”

“Thanks for the practical example, but some of us like letting in fresh air while we're working. And I was going to shut it once I was done. What are you doing here anyway?”

“I said that I'd think about what you said but not that I wouldn't try my luck. That being said, would you like to join me on a walk?”
