Chapter Thirty Six

I woke up the next morning, naturally. It felt good to have one morning where an annoying alarm wasn’t splitting though my dreams to wake me. I had gotten off the sofa at some point last night and crawled up the stairs to my old bedroom. I stayed, laying in bed and just looked around the room. Nothing had changed. I had left a bunch of stuff here when I moved out, just things that weren’t important enough to take with me but too important to throw away. 

Photos of old memories lined the wall, in a teenage-style collage. I smiled, looking at them, although being across the room in bed, I couldn’t make out what half of them were.
