Nyx's Pov

I smiled to myself the moment the door shut.

The image of Caspian’s face filled with fear etched in every line when he drove me to the hospital. I couldn’t stop thinking about it. His hands trembling on the wheel, his wild eyes that were silver burning like flames.

For a moment, it felt like he truly cared about me. Not because of the cure.

Maybe Caspian wasn’t lying when he said we needed each other.

That thought settled over me like warmth. I laid back against the pillows and let sleep take me.

I don’t know how long I was out, but the next thing I heard was my door opening. No knock. No call.

I bolted upright, dragging the sheet up with me. “Who the hell—!”

My breath hitched.

Caspian.

He stood there, back turned, calm like he owned the air I was breathing.

“Turn around,” I barked. “Go back and knock like a normal person!”

“You could dress in front of me,” he said calmly, his voice low, deep… controlled. “You don’t have to hide.”

I stared at him, jaw clenched. “Weren’t

  • The Perfect Revenge Of The Luna Queen    Chapter 9

Caspian's Pov My heart raced. I didn't see it coming, nothing of such. I carried the only person that gave me hope in my arms, watching her groan in pain. I couldn't wait for Karl to start the car or Edmund to open the door. Her skin was hot, her breathing shallow, and her face—dammit, her face was covered in red patches that spread faster than I could process. I threw the car door open and set her down gently before slamming it shut. Rage boiled under my skin. Not at her, not even at anyone. But myself, and maybe a bit at the world.I drove fast and my grip on the wheel was brutal. She whimpered once and I almost pulled over to hold her. But we needed to get to the hospital immediately. The town’s hospital wasn't my thing, but I made sure to put Riley in charge—a beta from the Red moon pack. It was done in secret, I had to avoid every trace of weakness that would lead to the Red moon Pack or me, specifically. When we got there, I burst through the doors with Nyx in my arms. The

Caspian's Pov Every time I try to hold back, I remember it. Her face, her smile, her words and the way her legs swiftly moved as she ran away right in front of me—from those demons that couldn't live peacefully with their kind. Nyx was showing the same signs Veyra did. But Veyra wasn't from the Darkvale pack, I only knew her name and the fact that she was on the run with some people. But Nyx? I was having Nyx find me a cure, I had no doubt she would be similar to Veyra, maybe she's not. Still, twenty years ago still feels so close. The way her words felt so strong, yet soft. It always calmed my heart but hurt me more to see her suffer. I stood back for years watching her get hurt by the monster she married, but I had brought her back to my arms and nothing would make me change my mind. The crescent moon pack is totally small compared to the Red moon pack, our differences were far from each other. I would have claimed Nyx since she was 20 but she was betrothed to Zade already, get

  • The Perfect Revenge Of The Luna Queen    Chapter 7

Nyx’s Pov The sun was already setting when I finally mustered the courage to ask, “Do any of you know where Alpha Caspian went? Haven't seen him since morning” I approached a set of ladies folding the sheets. They paused for a second, but I caught it. It felt like they were scared and I had my eyes on Sheila especially. She was the active maid, went round with others and almost everywhere in the house. Right, the house. I should start from going through every corner in the house and asking questions. I still couldn't explain the look on their faces, like they were afraid to speak. One of them, who seemed to be the youngest, quickly lowered her head. “The Alpha doesn’t tell us anything. We’re not allowed to answer such questions too.” The other two nodded. “We don’t think we are the right people for you to ask, Milady,” one said quietly. Their voices were flat, like they were used to speaking that way. Like they had learned to silence curiosity for their own survival. I

Nyx’s PovI sighed as I entered the room—my room now, apparently. It still didn’t feel like mine. The walls were soft beige, pristine floors, and the bed looked so well furnished, I wanted to sniff it. He must have prepared a lot for me before he brought me here. I glanced around and saw the different shades of whoever could have lived in the room. His mistresses? The maids did mention he sent out all the mistresses because of me. I didn't know what Caspian was up to, but I knew he just needed a cure for something important, that I was yet to know and close to find out. I sat down on the edge of the bed, and a knock sounded on the door.I hesitated, “Come in?” I finally said after the third knock, unsure if I was even allowed to speak freely in here. I had to measure my steps no matter the freedom Caspian was willingly to offer. Two maids stepped in, their heads bowed. “Milady,” one said gently. “What would you like for breakfast?”Breakfast?I blinked at them, confused. In the Cr

Caspian’s PovA final startThe morning sun had barely warmed the cold stones of the estate, I called the butler, Nyx had to be treated well for my plan to come into place.“Make sure her breakfast is served well. Fresh bread, fruit, honey. Anything she might want. I want her fed and comfortable when she wakes.”He nodded quickly, already used to the way I operated precisely, demanding and never asking twice.I might have my wolf dormant, I didn't have my authority stripped. I didn’t wait around to see it done, I trusted efficiency with my butler. Instead, I made my way to the garden, it was always my personal escape at the back of the house. A place none of my servants or even the mistresses I traded dared to step into.I crouched near the edge of the bed of blooms. Wild lavender, yellow asphodel, and those white and violet charms. The charm flowers, they were there too. Each time I stare at them, I'm drawn back to that time. It was twenty years ago, deep in the mountain region, wh
