Caspian's Pov

The fortress loomed in front of us like a shadow that refused to move. We had been camped outside for hours, watching, waiting, listening for any sound, any sign of her. My chest felt like it was being ripped open with every passing minute.

Nyx was inside. I knew it.

I felt it.

Rowan came up behind me, his voice low. “We caught one.”

My head snapped around. “Where?”

“By the east wall. He was trying to sneak out, probably to report. Kyle and I dragged him into the tent. He’s chained already.”

A growl rumbled in my throat before I could stop it. Finally. I had been itching to kill something, anything, and now I had my chance.

I stalked through the camp, my warriors parting without a word. The air was thick with tension. Everyone knew what was coming. War was sitting on the edge, waiting for me to give the command.
