Chapter 6

ผู้เขียน: Failed Life
Damian looked down at Donald, who was curled up in the wooden trunk, tears streaming down his face as he let out muffled sobs.

Damian slapped the side of the trunk and said coldly, "I had a good time with your sisters. I'm taking them home with me tonight, and I'll let them go when I'm sick of them. But if you even think about going to the cops, you can forget about ever seeing them again."

"No! No, please… Let us go, I'm begging you…"

"Please… don't do this to us…"

Damian turned to look at Rosalie and Isabel Lodge, who had backed up until they were pressed against the wall. After a snort, he turned back to glare at Donald while slamming his hand down hard on the trunk. He barked, "Nod if you heard me. Keep playing dead, and I'll make sure it becomes real."

Seeing Donald squeeze his eyes shut and give the slightest nod, Damian spat out a curse, then pointed at Rosalie and Isabel. "Wait here. Anyone who tries to run will pay the price."

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the sisters crouch down and bury their heads in the sheet wrapped around them. He strode out of the room and grabbed the two sets of women's clothes Vincent had bought, which were sitting on a chair in the hallway.

He went back inside the room, walked up to the twins, and held out the clothes. He said coldly, "Put these on and come with me. Or stay here if you want—I'll leave my men here to 'take care' of you."

Rosalie and Isabel exchanged a look. The one closest to the clothes clenched her jaw, reached out, and took them. She turned to her sister again, then slowly straightened up and edged toward the corner of the room.

Damian smirked to himself and walked out. He said to Vincent, who was waiting at the door, "The twins are coming with me to Lakecrest Estate. Have the bed in here taken out and the place cleaned up. Then send Donald to the hospital to be castrated."

As he spoke, he drew his hand across the air in a chopping motion. After Vincent nodded in understanding, Damian headed downstairs and slid into the car.

A little over ten minutes later, as his bodyguards marched the Lodge sisters over to the car, Damian took a good look at them and was even more satisfied with their looks. When one of the bodyguards opened the door, Damian crooked a finger, motioning for Rosalie and Isabel to get in.

They hesitated for several seconds before getting into the car with their jaws clenched and eyes shut, looking resigned. As soon as they sat down, Damian threw an arm around the twin who was beside him and told the driver to go.

Then, he turned to look at the woman in his arms. "Are you the older or younger twin?"

She hesitated. When she felt a hand slide up her chest and into her top, she immediately grabbed it and held it in place. She turned to Damian and shook her head hard, her tears spilling over again. "I… I'm the younger one, Isabel. P-Please let us go… Donald was the one who offended you; this has nothing to do with us."

Damian gave a crooked, mocking smile and leaned in close to her ear. He blew on it softly, saying, "Your brother knocked up my wife. That's why I'm gonna do the same to you and your sister. You're both gonna give me sons."

The twins immediately broke down in tears. Isabel trembled violently and stared at him tearfully, shaking her head again and again. "You… We… We're still young. I… Please, just let us go…"

Damian snorted, pulled his arm back from around her, and said icily, "Either you give me sons, or you die tonight. I'll give you half an hour to think it over. Stick with me, and I'll make sure you have the best of everything—food, clothes, and a place to live. Anything you want, anywhere you wanna go, I'll make it happen.

"You're free to leave after you give me sons. I'll let you go in one piece, and I'll even throw in 50 million for each of you on top of that. I'll also let what your brother did slide. But if you'd rather die, I can arrange that, too. I'll see to it that your whole family gets buried together."

With that, he closed his eyes and leaned back against the seat, ignoring the sisters and quietly waiting for their answer.

When he felt the car roll to a stop after some time, Damian opened his eyes and saw that they'd arrived at Lakecrest Estate—he'd lived there before getting married.

As a bodyguard opened the car door, Damian glanced at Rosalie and Isabel, who turned to look at him at the same time. He asked, "Made up your minds yet? Come inside with me if you wanna live. Stay in the car if you'd rather die."

Isabel looked over at Rosalie. Seeing Rosalie close her eyes and give the slightest nod, she turned back to Damian and asked in a small voice, "You're not gonna hand us over to your men to… to do what they want with us, are you?"

Damian couldn't help smirking. He nodded, then got out of the car and waved over the butler, Albert Smith, who was standing nearby. In a low voice, he ordered preparations for dinner for three, plus clothes and toiletries for Rosalie and Isabel.

When he turned back, Rosalie and Isabel had just gotten out of the car and were standing stiffly beside it, completely at a loss. He waved Albert off to handle dinner, then stepped between the twins and slung an arm over each of their shoulders.

"Let's head inside. From now on, this is your home. You don't have to go to work anymore. Just tell Albert if you need anything."

Because he was pushing them along, the twins stumbled a few quick steps. Isabel let out a small yelp of pain. Damian chuckled and slowed down, leading them into the villa, into the elevator, and up into the bedroom.

"Call your parents. Tell them that you and your brother's companies are sending you out of town for training and that you won't be able to go home for a while. After the call, you can shower and rest for a bit. You can go down and eat when dinner's ready."

He looked at the sisters. The young woman on the left turned to the one on the right and mumbled, "Rosalie…"

Rosalie pulled out her phone, walked slowly over to the couch, and called her father.

Damian gently steered the still-frozen Isabel toward the bathroom. Once he'd nudged her inside, he held out his hand for her phone. After she handed it over, he pointed to where the towels and bathrobe were laid out.

"Take a shower and put the robe on when you're done. I've already sent someone to buy clothes for you and your sister. You can make do with those for now. Someone will come over tomorrow and take your measurements for custom outfits."

When he saw Isabel reach out and quietly shut the bathroom door, Damian shook his head and walked to the couch. He sat beside Rosalie and waited for her to finish her call.

The moment she hung up, he held out his hand. "Give me your phone. For now, Albert will keep both your phones. If you need to make a call, you ask him. In a month, you can go back to using your phones freely."

After a moment of hesitation, Rosalie resigned herself to her fate and handed over her phone. Once he took it, she looked at him nervously and said, "You… I-I'll stay. Can you please let my sister go?"

Damian snorted and pocketed the phone. He stared straight at her and smiled mockingly. "You think one of you is enough to trade for my wife? She's your boss, Farrah Sutherland. You think you alone are enough to trade with that bitch?"

Rosalie's eyes widened in shock. She opened and closed her mouth a few times before she managed to stammer, "Y-You mean Donald… He and Ms. Sutherland? That's impossible!"

Damian took a deep breath, clenched his jaw, and let out an angry grunt. Then he strode to the bedroom door, pulled out both sisters' phones, and handed them to a maid waiting outside.

Damian and Isabel arrived at Metropolitan Plaza on Liberty Avenue. They spent an hour there—Damian picked out six outfits for Isabel, then bought six more sets of the same clothes for Rosalie. After that, he had her try on several sets of diamond jewelry. All told, he dropped over five million dollars, buying two of every design. When Vincent called and said he'd secured a reservation at Vine & Vault, Damian insisted that Isabel put on the new clothes and jewelry before he took her to Arcadia Atrium. Vine & Vault, known for being exclusive and having only three tables, was there.Damian smiled when he saw Vincent waiting outside the restaurant. He stopped and waited for Vincent to come over."I spent five grand to buy a table reservation. Your cousin Dennis is already in there with Calvin and Wayne. You'll see them as soon as you go in," Vincent said.Damian gave him a thumbs-up and pointed toward the restaurant across the way. "You and the bodyguards can go enjoy yourselves there

Vincent said, "They do know. This morning, Mr. Kingston from our side called Avenor Group and told Mr. Jeremy to cut off all cooperation with the Sutherland family."That confused Damian even more. "Could it be that Robert called Grandpa and used that bitch's bastard to pressure Grandpa into continuing to support them?"When Vincent didn't respond after several seconds, Damian went on, "Call Vine & Vault and get me a table there. I wanna see if Uncle Jeremy and his family really have the guts to keep working with the Sutherlands."Vincent agreed and hung up. Damian stood there thinking for a bit, then turned and walked over to Rosalie and Isabel. His gaze swept over the two of them before he smiled and asked, "Which one of you is coming out to dinner with me tonight? I'm only taking one. The other stays home and waits for us."Rosalie's face went pale after she traded a look with Isabel. She hurried forward and clutched Damian's arm, panic written all over her face. "M-Mr. Halston,

Rosalie thought about it. "I don't think so. After Donald graduated from college, he stayed in Saltonvale and hardly ever came home. When Isabel and I got into college here in Saltonvale, he still rarely came by campus to see us."But every month, he secretly wired us 2,000 dollars for living expenses and told us not to let Mom and Dad know. During our senior-year internship, he got us into AeroMax Tech. After we graduated, we officially joined the company. Donald also told us that if anyone at work ever picked on us, we had to tell him."As she rambled on, Damian pursed his lips, not knowing what to say. His gaze slid down to her legs, which had suddenly pressed tightly together. Then he shifted his eyes back up and grinned as he looked at her."You know, when you tapped in halfway earlier, did Isabel… Do you think she's getting up to something naughty in the bathroom now?"Rosalie's cheeks burned like they'd been held over an open flame. She pressed her lips together and shook he

Damian said, "Your resignation paperwork is all done, and my company has finished your onboarding, too. Tomorrow morning, before I head out, text me your bank account numbers. You two can just stay home—you don't need to go in to work."The company pays on the 15th of every month, so you can check your accounts on the afternoon of the 15th to see if the salary's in."Rosalie slowly pushed herself upright and reached out to touch Damian's arm. She murmured, "Can I go wash up?"He couldn't help laughing as he nodded. He watched as she hastily shuffled off the bed, one hand pressed to her lower belly as she ran for the bathroom. When he saw Isabel sit up, looking at a loss for what to do with herself, he lifted his arm in invitation. After a brief pause, she scooted over and nestled into the crook of his arm.He stubbed out his cigarette, his palm gliding over her smooth skin as he said, "You still haven't answered my question from earlier. You and Rosalie joined AeroMax Tech because

Around 3:30 pm, Eugene from the legal department knocked on Damian's office door and came in. Damian set the document he was reviewing down and looked up at Eugene, who had stopped in front of the desk."Mr. Halston, I just got back from AeroMax Tech. I spent over an hour negotiating with their HR. Both Ms. Rosalie and Isabel Lodge have signed ten-year contracts with AeroMax, and the company refused to let them resign."After some negotiation, we agreed to pay a penalty of 120,000 dollars each. Their resignations have already been processed, and Jim Rook from our HR just asked me which department you want them in."Damian cursed inwardly, then sighed and shook his head. With a sneer, he said, "Bold of them, demanding 120 grand for new hires who've only been there a few months. Do they think it's that easy to scam me out of my money?"Tell Jim that the twins are coming in as my secretary and assistant. They don't need to clock in or sit in the office. Each of them gets a fixed salar

Farrah stared at Winona dazedly for a moment, then suddenly cried out, "You don't get it! I'm doing all of this for our family. Hurry up and get me my phone—I need to call Donald!""You still want to call him? There's no way the Halston family will acknowledge a loser like him as part of the family," Winona snapped."Stop talking and just give me my phone! Tell David that I'm not signing that divorce agreement, not unless he brings Damian here!"Winona shot to her feet, glaring at Farrah. "I was right beside your father when Mr. Halston Senior called him yesterday, and I heard every word. He made it clear that if you don't sign that divorce agreement, the Halston family is taking back the two billion they invested in us.""Give me my phone! I promise you they're not taking back a single cent!" Farrah shouted.Winona's brows furrowed tightly as she studied Farrah for a good few seconds. When Farrah urged her for the phone again, she gritted her teeth and walked to the couch. She ru
