Blair.

Morris turned and shook his head at me, I read the words that were on his lips. “This is not happening.”

“You are not going to do this, Blair.”

I smirked and took my gaze off him slowly, and Aden beamed at me, held my left hand, and was about to put the ring on it.

‘At least you got the ring, Kayda got just an engagement ring.’ Inker snorted in my head.

‘You don’t have to say that.’

Sne rolled her eyes. ‘But Kayda can say hurtful stuff so why can’t I? What I said wasn’t even hurtful

Blair. My thoughts went back to when I was in the hospital room, Mrs. Elara stretched her hand to hold me, and she had whispered into my ear. “I can see the light in Aden’s eyes when he looked at you, you’re his home. I hope you never leave him, he may look complete but he’s not. Aden stays where there’s peace, and you have the energy around you as his mate.”At that time I didn’t understand what she meant by that, I didn’t give it much thought, I never thought that I would have to ponder the ones that she said to me on that hospital bed. I was packing my clothes into a bag, I was going to leave for Riverfall Pack, I took the award I won last night from the table in my room. I put them into the bag. I didn’t inform Nathan that I was coming, I wanted to surprise him. I knew he would be shocked when he saw me, because he wanted to come back pick me up, and drive me to the house. But I wanted to be there myself. I cleared the thoughts off my head and started to get the things ready,

Blair. I averted my gaze from him the second Kayda stepped in, there was no reason to look at him, so I turned the other way. And I saw Carlos making his way down to me. “Do you have time now, Blair?” He asked, but food was being served, and we were just getting to the best part of the party. I craned my neck, watching the seafood being dropped on several tables, and a lot more to choose from. I wanted to take my pick and have a taste of everything. I was already getting excited. “Can we do that later?” My eyes swept over the food. “It’s quite important and this is the only time I can get to talk to you, because I don’t know what’s going to happen to me next or Aden. So please give me a few minutes.” I groaned and took my gaze back to him, he heaved a sigh of relief, when my focus was back on him. “Can we talk outside? I know where it’s safe.” I nodded and followed him out of the hall. I waved to Nathan that I would be back, everyone thought I was with him now, and it was a bi

Aden. I was hyperventilating, it sounded ridiculous but I couldn’t breathe. I loosened the tie that was around my neck and lowered my head for a second. Perspiration dampened my face, I reached into my pocket if there was something for me to wipe it off. But Carlos strode over and lent me one. I didn’t say a word and dabbed my face with it. My head remained down, and I took a seat. “Take a deep breath and let it out slowly, Alpha.” Carlos’s hand was over my shoulders. I did as he said, and was able to control my breathing slowly. His hand let go of my shoulders, and he squatted beside the chair I was seated on. “Should I get you some water?”“Yes.” I voiced out, my voice sounded strained. Whatever I was feeling came from my wolf. I couldn’t decipher why he was reacting in such a way when he had been docile for a week. He came back with a sealed bottle of water, opened it, and gave it to me, I drank from it and gave him the remaining water. And breathed out deeply. I kept my han

Blair. Kayda stood in front of him and smiled. “Is anything wrong, Blair?”“You’re with someone else now, and I have Aden.”“After you lured me out of the house that night, oh you had something that you wanted to say to me. And you never showed up, and I ended up getting attacked by some masked men. You still didn’t show up, you didn’t care what happened to me, whether I was dead. It would have been good, right, Kayda?”She laughed nervously and stared at Aden. “I don’t know what you’re talking about, are you sure you’re not mistaken?” I felt Nathan’s hands around my shoulders. “Are you sure about that, Blair?”I turned to him. “Yes. If I lost my phone I would have shown you the message that she sent, and Carlos was there.” Kayda shook her head. “You’re so unbelievable, Blair. Do you hate me so much that you want to do this here?” She glanced around. “None of it is true, you can check my phone. I haven’t heard from you in a while, and I came to the house because Aden called me, why

Blair. “You’re going home with me, after.” “You were getting too comfortable being at Crestmoon Pack, you knew that was never the plan.” “You don’t have to panic over that Nathan.” I muttered and shook my head, “There were just a few things that I needed to take care of, it just doesn’t mean anything. I was going to leave anyway.”“I just missed seeing you every day at the house, and you came here looking extremely gorgeous, and you’ve got everyone’s eyes on you, you don’t have to look this beautiful, Blair.”I laughed now, and he took my hand, “You don’t have to flirt.”“Why?”“It’s you, Blair.”“That’s why you don’t have to.” I insisted. “But that’s why I want to.” He replied and chuckled. “I was waiting because I wanted us to come in together, and Alpha Grace has been worried about you, and she wants me to make sure that everything is fine.” “Yes, I wanted to manage well before I could leave the Pack. I remember that I promised that I would be there, and it was one of the rea

Blair. I kept Baron as my bodyguard, he wanted to keep investigating, so he stayed at the Pack, and I stopped pushing him away since Morris won’t stop coming. Baron was there to stop Morris from ever getting close to me, at the house or anywhere. He reported to me earlier, that he seemed to have left the pack. And I didn’t know where he went for someone who has hit rock bottom. He should be begging on his knees every time he sees me, or maybe he has someone else to get help from. If I find out, I would have to crash that too. “Should I go after him?” Baron asked, and I shook my head. “You should leave him for a while. I want to see him get a glimpse of hope and crash it.” Baron nodded and dropped something on my table, it was a file. “Should I get the car ready to drive you home?”“Yes, I think I’m done here for today.” I placed the tablet in my tote bag and closed it. My father treated me differently, he doesn’t talk except when he needs to, and my dinner and breakfast were
