“I missed you, baby. Hmm.” I stared at Noah and Octavia for a moment, kissing, and when she lifted her head and looked at me, I turned to the door and walked out.

I got into my car and drove to my hotel suite without seeing my kids.

When I arrived at my hotel room, I went into the bathroom, sat on the toilet seat, and cried. I didn’t want Chloe and the housekeeper to see me in the state I was in.

I hadn’t imagined how it would feel to see the man I loved with my whole heart be intimate with my sister. I regretted the trip and wished I had done something else to save my kids rather than to be reminded of their betrayal.
