I called Demetri again. And again. But his phone was still unreachable.

I tried Tiara next. Nothing. No matter how many times I dialed, she didn’t answer. With every unanswered call, my anxiety surged. I even asked Marshall and Oscar to reach out to him, but not even Pluto—Demetri’s right-hand man was responding.

Something was wrong. I could feel it in my gut.

I’d been pacing the living room restlessly for what felt like hours. Demetria sat calmly on the couch, her gaze following me.

“Snow, aren’t you getting dizzy from all that pacing?” she said with a hint of irritation.

A fresh wave of panic washed over me. Damn it. Just last night, I cursed him—wished he’d vanish, disappear from my life. And now look at me... unraveling, falling apart, consumed by worry.

I told him to die. Told him to leave. And he did. He didn’t even fight me on it. He just walked away—silent, accepting. Maybe he knew how furious I was. But I still don’t understand why he had to lie.

Why?

Why did he lie t

His lips parted slightly as if caught off guard by my words. “Are you s-sure?” he asked, his voice low and raspy restraining the emotions swirling within. Despite the husky edge to his tone, I could feel the concern woven into it. My God. I know he’s a ruthless man in the eyes of many, a monster in the criminal underworld. But as I gaze at him now, the man before me… I can clearly see the worry etched across his face. A ruthless man, yet so tender when it comes to me. I bit my lip and gave a gentle nod. At my response, I saw his eyes slowly light up, and I couldn’t hold back the smile that curved my lips. In a swift motion, he bound my hands with his necktie, and with effortless strength, he guided me onto the bed, settling me onto his lap. He slipped his head between my arms, letting the warmth of my body envelop him. “You sure you’re willing to do everything I want, honey?” he asked again, a roguish grin playing on his lips. A soft nod was my only reply. I knew he’d relish wh

When they finally disappeared from view, I felt a heavy weight press down on my chest as I watched them slowly fade into the distance. Once they were completely out of sight, I let out a deep sigh and turned back toward the cabin. As soon as I stepped inside, I shut the door behind me and leaned against it for a moment. It was as if all my strength had drained from my body. I walked over to the bed, nearly collapsing onto it from where I stood. I sat down slowly, pulled my legs up, and wrapped my arms around my knees. The room was silent, only the sound of my heavy breathing filled the space. And there… I finally broke. The tears fell again—hard, relentless, like a long-awaited downpour finally unleashed from the sky. All the memories came rushing back—everything the four of us had been through. The pain of every wound the past had carved into us, the sacrifices we made for love, the lies that wedged themselves between us, the betrayal that nearly shattered all trust, the anger th

I was momentarily stunned when Irene suddenly followed after the father and daughter, carrying an umbrella. The air was heavy and humid, even without the sun. But before she could reach them, her eyes landed on me. She stopped in her tracks. Our eyes met. At that very moment, Marcus noticed me too. What was once a joyful scene of a family playing by the shore turned into something else—both of them were now looking straight at me. I didn’t hesitate to walk closer. There were only about three meters between us when I smiled. “Hi! How are you?” I greeted, glancing at the little girl Marcus was carrying. She was beautiful—a perfect blend of Marcus and Irene’s features. “How old is she?” I asked Marcus. “Two years old,” he replied in a calm voice. I nodded in response. I turned to Irene again, but she couldn’t meet my gaze. “Don’t you miss acting, Feurene?” I asked her. That was the first time she looked at me, clearly surprised by what I said. “Feurene?” Marcus chimed in, visib

Even my breath seemed to stop. That man… I saw him lean in and whisper something to Mayor, who immediately nodded in response. A moment later, the man slowly lifted his gaze—and our eyes met. My eyes widened. M-Marcus… he’s alive! He quickly looked away. Even with his longer hair and the beard covering much of his face, I was sure—it was Marcus. Still holding the microphone, I continued singing. I kept my eyes on him, ignoring the weight crushing my chest at that moment. I forced confidence into my voice, carried through the song, and finished strong. The crowd erupted in applause—including him. “One more!” someone from the crowd shouted, followed by others echoing the same request, their energy rising. I didn’t want to disappoint them. I picked up the electric guitar again and started a new song. Throughout the performance, he remained just behind Mayor, swaying to the music, casually blending into the background. He made no move to approach the crowd—or me. I wanted to cry.

**Snow**"Ma’am, could you give us a little smile?" Salim asked politely. He was the photographer and videographer with us for the documentation of our community outreach here on South View Pablo Island. We had just docked at the port aboard a superyacht owned by one of the bosses of Sandstorm Management. There was no special treatment from SM; they simply let us use the yacht so our team wouldn’t have a hard time reaching the island which was quite far from the mainland. As the yacht’s anchor slowly descended, I could feel the gentle sway of the water. The breeze was refreshingly cool, carrying with it the scent of the sea and the crisp air from the island. In the distance, the shoreline was visible, white sand stretching along the coast. The island was lined with tall coconut trees and colorful nipa huts. Even from afar, we could already hear lively music and the cheerful shouts of the people.Reluctantly, I smiled as Salim snapped a photo of me."All good?" I asked him with a force

**Demetri** “Oh? You’re here?” Demetria’s surprised question caught me off guard when she found me inside the penthouse, sitting in front of the grand piano. Her sharp eyes immediately fixed on me, like she was wondering why I was still there. I turned to look at her, then took in her appearance from head to toe. She looked absolutely breathtaking today, wearing an elegant, shimmering light blue gown that draped gracefully over her figure. “Where are you headed?” I asked, watching her carefully. “I was invited to a High Society Brunch Gathering,” she answered without hesitation, letting out a soft sigh. “Oh? That sounds like a wonderful event,” I replied, raising an eyebrow slightly as I observed her. She rolled her eyes and looked away, clearly not agreeing with what I said. “If I had a choice, I wouldn’t go,” she said, a hint of irritation in her voice. I could feel the frustration like she was just being forced to attend. “Then why are you going?” I asked, now genuinely in
