{Faith}

Ace’s voice envelopes me like a warm fluffy shawl. The cold in my bones dissolves. I feel better, yet I forget how to breathe.

His eyes sweep the countertop. “You having a midnight snack?”

“You say that like it’s a bad thing.”

He raises his palms. “Earlier, you said you weren't hungry. Was it because of Kourtney?”

The imaginary shawl comes off my shoulders. Anger rises in my veins, travelling to my fingertips. I slap down the half-eaten slice of bread. “Believe it or not. Not everything is about you and your lover!”

In the blink of an eye, Ace crosses the room. He grabs my face, capturing my lips forcefully.

Like an invasive species, his tongue takes over my mouth, filling it up with... His minty breath, hot saliva, the whole shebang.

Finally, he stops. He pulls his head back a little.

We are standing toe to toe now. Our gaze locks. Chests heave in sync. Breath spray on each other’s faces.

Ace smiles. “You are fucking beautiful. Even when you are angry.”

    {Faith}“Girlfriend?” I stand up from the dressing chair and fluff my dress. “I don't remember agreeing to be your girlfriend, Mr Davies.”A hint of panic flashes in his eyes. “You don't want to be my girlfriend?”“I never said that. Was just saying that if you are gonna give someone a title like that, you have to ask first.”He leans away from the wall and scratches his head. “Ermm… I didn't know that. I just thought since our feelings are mutual, we are now a couple.”The innocent and puzzled look on his face makes me chuckle. He's so cute!“Is that why you dressed like a boyfriend?”Ace holds the right flap of his jacket and shrugs. “Jerry said this is what guys wear for a casual date.”“A date? You are going on a date? With who?”“Not funny, Princess.” He saunters over. “Who else would I go with?”He raises a hand as my lips part. “And don't even mention her name. Today is about us. Just us.”“What about school? I have a packed schedule today.”He walks over, reaches out, and stro

    {Faith}“Finally! I thought my hair was gonna turn grey before you two admitted your feelings for each other!”Jerry steps out of a corner, smiling and throwing his hands up in the air. “Phew!”Susan materializes out of thin air too. [That's right. We can finally have some peace in this house!]These two were watching us?I press my face against Ace’s chest.He wraps his arms around me. “Guys, this was a private moment.”“Nah-uh!” Jerry wags a finger. “You don't get to deny us such a beautiful scene after talking my ears off almost every day.”[Yes! It’s the least you can both do to pay us back!]“All right, all right, guys. Since you have enjoyed the front-row seats to the show, can you give us some privacy now?”“Privacy, huh?”Susan and Jerry exchange suspicious glances. Walking away, they smile at us.My face burns even more. “Do you think they know?”“What? That we are both sex freaks?”I slap his chest. “Don’t put it that way!”“Why? Do I need to list all the weird places we hav

    {Faith}Susan doesn’t hesitate for a second. She rips off her apron, dumps it on a stool, and heads out the door.“But the soup!” I point at the huge pot boiling on the stovetop.Ace quietly walks to the stove. He turns it off with one click. As he turns to face me, the preview of his chest makes my insides melt for a second. It stops almost immediately when I see the solemn look on his face.Is this it?Is he about to say something like, “I hate to break it to you, but go up there, pack your bags, and leave my house. I am done with you!”I hold the island for support.He squints. “Is something wrong?” “No, is something wrong?” My throat suddenly feels dry and my ears pick up every sound, including that of my racing heart.Ace stands on the opposite side of the island. “We didn't quite finish our conversation.”“What conversation?”“Faith…” he calls, face turning even more serious. “Remember when I stroked your chin and told you I was only just getting started?”I nod like a lizard.

    {Faith}The ball of saliva that had just formed in my mouth hitches in my throat. I cough, hitting my chest lightly.Ace rolls onto the second sun bed. His eyes do not leave me, nor do they blink for a second. “Say you love me, Princess.”That’s so random! Why is he making such a request?I remember when he asked me if I was in love with him. At the time, I thought he was just trying to mess with me. But now…What is this strange vibe I am getting?Ace takes my hand in his. “Just say it.”“Is this about what Matthew said?” I pull my hand back. “No, I just want to hear you say.”“Why? It wasn't part of our agreement. We are master and slave, remember? Slaves do not love their masters and vice versa!”Although my voice trembles, I intentionally frown to keep up with the blatant lie.I can't tell him I love him! I have heard instances of guys getting rid of their toys once feelings start to grow.I don't want that to happen to me. At least, not yet.Ace just stares at me. His eyes dim w

    {Ace}The monster in my pants hardens within a second. Her amorous voice sends something rushing through my veins. And her eyes…oh, they drive me insane.BUT!I want more. I want more than just sex.I want us to connect on a deeper level. For her to love me like I have always loved her.Matthew’s voice keeps echoing in my head. I have to admit, he's probably right.She said it herself. She doesn't love me. It is all just sex and servitude to her. “Daddy…” she strokes my chin. “I am in heat. I want you to quench this fire.”I swallow. “Princess, you just had a long day. You should take a cold shower and—”“And I know just the right spot to do that!”She takes my hand and runs to the side of the building.“Ermm… where are we going?”Her hair flies in the breeze as she looks back at me without stopping. “Come on! It’s only a few more steps away.”Faith jumps over a small picket barricade at the far end of the building and climbs up the flight of stairs. Finally, she stops.“Wow!”Seein

That's where I have seen guys fight like this for a girl.I always thought it was cute.But now as I stand in the same situation, I realize one thing.This is so not cute!Ace suddenly chuckles. “You know the problem with you, Matthew?”Matthew blinks like a robot.“You overestimate your importance in her life. It doesn't matter that you were her first boyfriend. What matters is who she's with now… who she waits for to come home...and whose side she's standing on right now.”Matthew glances at me as I stand holding Ace’s arm. He instantly turns into a tomato. “Bullshit! If you have really won her heart, you won’t feel threatened by me or even be here.”Ace grinds his teeth, jaws clenching tight.“She doesn't love you. She's never going to love you. And you know it!”POW! POW! POW!Ace hits him in the face three times in a row.Matthew staggers backward, he and his jacket falling to the floor like a pack of cards. “Hey!” I stand before Ace. “You shouldn't have done tha
