56. Ghazi feels bad

I nearly panicked when I was told that Remy left the building, walked around the nearby area and now sitting in a park, alone, in the dark. I was glad that I had one of our men watching him. He reported earlier that Remy met with Jacqueline for coffee, before going straight back to the apartment. But afterward, he just walked around aimlessly. I tried calling his phone but he was not picking up, only to find out later that he left it on the kitchen counter.

Now that I have him in my arms I should feel better, but instead, I feel horrible, thinking everything was somehow my fault. Even our intimacy seemed different like there was something more that he was keeping from me. He felt fragile in my arms, sensing that he could break any moment. I still didn't get why he kept on thinking that I would leave him. The guilt was so much that I decided to just hold him.

"Why don't you take a nap, I'll order dinner. Okay?"
