Liam had brought the woman from the auction back to the house. He owned a mansion in one of the lands not far off from the mountain sides in Deadwood. He loved the outdoors, the view and the silence he got regularly. He ate his meal in silence at the table, he had asked Mrs Smith, the house keeper to tuck her into the bed in the guest room.
After dinner he headed upstairs to his room to get some rest, the events of the day had weakened him, he didn't expect to see her again and definitely not like that. He cringed at the fact that if he had not gone there, someone would have bought her and made her his pet, he couldn't possibly picture her with any of the men in the room that night.
He walked into the room angrily with the intention to sleep peacefully for a while but stopped in his tracks immediately he saw a stature in bed already, he cursed under his breath, he had asked the woman to take her to the guest room and not his own. He moved closer to her, there was something about her that wasn't quite right, she looked just like the woman from the night before but the scent, he thought, the scent was different.
His wolf struggled free the moment it laid eyes on her, "Mate!". It hissed but he managed to keep it at bay. He moved close enough to make sure that she was still unconscious and when he was certain that she was fast asleep, he sat down at her side and laid his back bed's support. He sat down for minutes, watching her peaceful face, she was definitely the woman from the night before, she was unapologetically beautiful and an aura around her pulled people to her that was why he had took a liking to her immediately and married her because she reminded him so much of his long dead mother. That was why he had been heart broken for years when he found out that she had died, cursing himself that his habit of linking her to his mother, had made his mother's bad fate rub off on her.
He wasn't really one to believe in spirituality and karma but for some reason he just wanted to blame her sudden death on something.
Their time together in the past had been filled with beautiful memories that when she was ripped away from him, he found it hard to move on. Did she fake her death to get away from him?, He asked himself. A sharp pain raced through his heart not because of the fact that she had fabricated a lie but because she had gone so far to get away from him. So the moment he saw her on the television screen at the underground auction, he was eager to get back with her not because of the fact that they were once married but because he wanted to get closer to her again, to feel her body up close and breath in her wonderful scent, the same things that had kept him glued to her all those years ago.
He pushed a strand of hair that had fallen on her face away and ran his palm across her soft cheeks and craving for more, he ran his thumb over her lips, fighting with every muscle left in him against the mad urge to kiss her again.
His Wolf pushed at him again, desperately wanting to come out and when he pushed it back in again, it called out, "Mate!".
"I know". He snapped, wishing that his wolf would just obey him for once and to his surprise it actually kept still without another single move for a while. Giving him enough time and space to focus on the woman in front of him.
He was so engrossed with staring at her lips and feeling her gentle breaths on his thumb that he didn't notice her eyes lids flutter open.
"What are you doing?". She asked wide eyed. Her voice zapped him out of his trance and back into reality, he looked up into her beautiful eyes and she held his gaze, "Who are you?". She asked, kneading her brows in confusion. She tried to sit up but her head must have been aching as she fell back down on the bed.
"Who are you?". She looked afraid and it hurt him that she didn't recognize him to the extent that she was afraid of him.
"Don't move, stay in bed for a while longer". He advised, moving away from her to keep her calm.
"What am I doing here?". She looked around at the dark room, painted a dark grey color and the curtains where drawn tight making the room look more intimidating. A large painting of Liam with a lion sitting next to him and his hands on its mane hung above the bed. When her eyes landed on it, fear flashed across her face.
"Relax, it's just a painting of me". He said calmly, trying to pacify her.
She seemed to calm down for a bit.
"I don't remember what happened", she held her head, trying so hard to remembered but flinched as if she had experienced a headache. "Do you know what happened?". She looked up at him so innocently that he almost lost his balance and would have accidentally let his wolf out, if his wolf had not been wise enough to stay put.
"Thank you", he said within himself to his wolf who growled in response. He didn't want to scare her.
"No, no I don't". He lied because he would be more than happy if she lost her memory and started a new life with him. That possibility sounded attractive but it felt like deception.
"Oh okay", she replied dejectedly. "Who are you?". Did she not really remember anything he asked himself, maybe they had given her something at the club to wash her memory away to make her a perfect possession of her owner.
"A friend", he smiled. "My friend, he brought you here. Found you unconscious at the road side". He lied so convienently that his wolf mocked him silently but he could feel it's piercing eyes watching and listening to his moves.
"Can I meet that friend, maybe he could tell me where he ....".
"Relax, he travelled for a meeting would be back very soon. You can stay here for the mean time".
"Alright". She said, sighing deeply.
He stared at her for a while and suddenly his hands went up to her hair. His wolf had been telling him that he wanted to touch her hair but he had been ignoring it, now it took action into it's own hands. She shrank away from him the moment his hands touched her soft hair.
"What are you doing?". She asked raising an eyebrow at him.
"There was something in your hair". He lied comfortably and took his hand away. He pushed himself from her side reluctantly and turned around to leave cursing his wolf.
"You don't have to leave". She squinted her eyes at him, unintentionally seducing him. But Liam had built his disciple level over the years, he could turn her down with a straight face but only he knew the battles he fought inside to overcome the beast that threatened to let lose anytime her pretty, slender face came into view.
"Wish I could but I can't, need to get some sleep and you need to take a shower and rest. That's the bathroom". He pointed at the door on his right. He didn't look at her for fear of her eyes changing his decision. He walked away from her and left the room, he knew he could no longer sleep in the same room with her without risking the fact that his wolf might let himself lose on her if she so much as glance in his direction at night. He gripped the door handle and slammed the door shut.
Liam sighed heavily the moment he stepped out the door and slammed it shut, he collapsed on the door breathing heavily. He slammed his head on the door gently, "Sick bastard", he muttered under his breath at his wolf and it replied with a gentle growl.
"Are you okay Sir?". He turned around sharply to find Mrs Smith dressed in her uniform and holding a duster. She was looking up at him surprised, no one had ever seen him uncomposed before.
"I'm fine", he replied sharply, straightening himself and his clothes. "I told you to put her in the guest room not mine". He snapped at the woman, not that he was angry infact he cherished the fact that her scent would be on his sheets but he was just angry at his wolf and didn't know where else to vent it out.
"I'm sorry sir, I would correct that immediately". She apologized.
"Nevermind, I'll use the guest room". He stormed off, feeling sorry for the the old woman on the receiving end of his anger while his wolf grinned underneath his face.
He couldn't get the image of her face from his mind. It was clear and vivid as if she was there standing before him.
Liam got to the guest room and walked in half expecting her to be there lying on the bed just as he had met her on his bed but she wasn't there.
He took a fistful of the sheets and sniffed it. It smelled only detergent. Liam growled to himself. A thick empty sound that caught in his throat.
Liam was used to many things but feeling desperate and need was new to him. He had no idea how to cope with such feelings.
A soft knock sounded on the door bringing him out of him troubled thoughts. He paused to listen unsure of what he had heard. Maybe his mind was playing tricks on him.
He heard the sound again. He would have missed it if he wasn't listening. The knock was too gentle; too soft, and too unfamiliar. None of the maids or guards would knock like it. It sounded like the knuckles of a child hitting the wooden door or a weakened woman.
His heart contracted in his chest making it hard to breath. It couldn't be. There was no way she had followed him here yet he felt a pressure as he made his way to the door and slowly turned the knob...
Amora fell when the ground cracked and split. She failed to find her footing and thought she would die then and there. The recent earthquakes had a very large magnitude. It left a large crack in the ground almost the same depth as a very high cliff. There was no way she could survive if she fell into it.But someone caught her hand. And when she looked up, she was very surprised because it was Jade."I won't get my answer if you die," Jade panted. She had barely avoided the crack in the ground that nearly engulfed her. "So, you can't die. Come up! Don't give up on this damn earthquake!”Aftershocks followed, this time stronger than the previous. But Jade didn't give up. She pulled Amora with all her might until she managed to help Amora back to the surface.Amora held Jade's hand to guide her to a safer location, to a plain far from cliffs or tre
Amora had no reason to refuse. It was true, there was no way they would flee leaving a hole like a crater on the forest forest floors and still stay there without dispatching once they were free So, she knew she had to heed to his advice, they were just meeting after a long time, it would be rude to defy him in front of his men and so she went back with Liam to Liam's house. The members welcomed her with great enthusiasm almost as if they have been waiting for her. They knew what happened to her including the failure of the other members to find Jade. They assured her that everything would be fine and it made her feel better knowing she was not just the only one now, she had friends as well as members of different factions and packs who support her and her quest and most importantly she has Liam. She was no longer lonely and she smiled“Tomorrow we
"Hey, Jade has run away!" One of Jade's men couldn't find her anywhere. “I don't want to die stupidly here! I will also escape!” He ran like a cowardly chicken and caught up with all his friends who had turn tail and ran.Liam and his members chased them to find Jade, and so did Amora, they were not really after her men but her, they knew how much amora needed her and they did not mind combing the forest to find herThey searched around the forest. When Liam saw Amora leaving alone, he shouted to prevent her from leaving without him, "We'll go together Amora. Together!"He was scared of losing her again and needed to be with her all the way.Amora turned and nodded. “Okay. Come on over to me! I think I saw her there." She pointed at the dark forest area. She jumped like a warrior and disappeared behind the trees, she was really s
"Yes of course." Amora's answer made everyone even more amazed. How did they sound the same? Their faces were the same, and even the marks on their faces were the same. Only their hair was different."And you're still defending him?" Jade laughed disdainfully. "I guess you're a girl who does anything as long as you can be Luna."Liam almost cursed Jade if only Amora didn't stop him. Amora had more important business now than to deal with her and her mischief."Stop playing victim, Jade! And now listen to me very carefully because I would not repeat myself JADE!” Amora took several steps forwards. As befits a dreadful ghost, all the enemy troops retreated under intimidation.Amora and Jade's faces were the same. But they could see a very strong intimidating aura from Amora she was obviously more powerful than the other. They were like the same neon light, only the strength of the light was much different and more powerful than the other. Amora was very bright, strong, and invincible.“
“Jade, the entire army is ready! We will attack now!” Said the voice suddenly piecing her subconscious Jade froze for a moment. For a moment she was excited to drag Liam on a very steamy night. She would not let him go in any way. And after one night, she was sure he would continue to ask her to do the same thing the next day. But, argh, now her squad was ready. If she didn't hurry up with instructions, maybe she would miss this opportunity completely."Amora, you look confused." Liam frowned. Something crossed his mind but he brushed it off. “Are you sick? Maybe you want to rest. All right, we'll continue this tomorrow.”Jade stopped him and grabbed him by the arm. "I'm fine. Come on…” Her voice trailed off as she heard a sneaking sound in her head again.“Jade, where are you? We're on our way to the pack. Quickly answer me and give us orders!”She was caught in the middle of two favorable situations. And now she was confused about which one to choose. A second later she made up her
He opened it and put it away happily. Some of the people who came with him also smiled happily. “You really are a great pack leader, Jade. I believe you have a mission for us. What do you want?" They asked excitedly “Right now, I have a great opportunity. Do you know what it is?” "Did you manage to charm one of the rich merchants and get hold of all his money?" asked one of the herd in an evil look in his eyes, seeing her shake her head. "It's much more powerful than that, much more better my people." “Whoa! I can't wait to hear it, Jade." The redhead nodded confidently. “Please, tell us!” “I found an Alpha.” They all looked shocked as it was indeed better, captivated and from the looks on their face she knew they wanted her to continue her tale “He lived not far from this place. If you look towards the Southwest, you will find a magnificent settlement. Yeah, it's probably just a big house. But in a dense forest like this? I think that's really great, extremely powerful and very
Wilson even once snapped at her even though he usually kept his voice down. and very polite was no longer such, Then Mrs. Smith, who used to always cry when Jade slapped her, now actually hit Jade with a duster and was suddenly rude to her And the most annoying thing was that Liam always avoided it when she wanted to spend the night with him. Something was wrong was going on. She was very sure. And wanting to make sure again, she went into the kitchen to find Mrs. Smith. She came with her chin up. After finding Mrs. Smith outside, she approached her. Then she said curtly, “Time for me to have a snack, Mrs. Smith! Why haven't you cooked for me yet? You're actually doing useless things like watering these stupid plants?” Mrs. Smith replied carelessly, “I'll cook it for you later, miss. Wait a minute!” 'She didn't even turn to look at me in response to my words,' Jade thought. "I want to eat it now, Mrs. Smith. Go into the kitchen and start cooking!” Mrs. Smith responded in the same
He reached into his trouser pocket and pulled out his cell phone. He scrolled through the screen and found a photo and showed it to Mrs. Smith. “Look! This is the real Amora, she is the one at the dark forest pack I went to.” Mrs. Smith gaped after seeing the photo. It was taken later, but Amora's hair was still black. And the background of it was wooden houses that weren't around here. “Ma-Master, don't scare me! What's this? What is happening?" Liam whispered again, his eyes bulging. “The girl who lives in this house is not Amora, Mrs. Smith. She is only pretending to be Amora.” "What?" Mrs. Smith suddenly growled. Liam realized Mrs. Smith would be shifted after learning that Amora in their house was Jade. And if that happened, everything would be messed up, that was why he did not want telling her but now he had to he also had yo make her behave Mrs. Smith was a kind and friendly lady. She was very warm, and firm, like a mother. That was why many members liked her, even though
She really did look like amora and that was part of the problem because he might hate her and her personally but he was always attracted to amora. . "Liam, are you home already honey?" She stared at him sensually. "Are you tired, maybe I could help you relax?" Liam wanted to drag her out especially after he found out who she was, But for Amora's sake, he would treat Jade well, he needed her around. Jade must remain in the pack so that Amora can complete her mission. "Amora, why do you sleep here, honey." Liam kissed Jade on the head. Without staring at her body any longer, he pulled the blanket up to cover her so he might not be tempted "You said this is our room. I should be allowed to sleep here, right or am I wrong?” "Oh, you want to sleep here?" Liam gave up knowing if he continued he might get frustrated and in his wary say something he should not. "Okay. But I'm going to sleep now. Put on your pajamas. You could get sick later, you know how cold it can get at night." Ja
