Chapter three

(The bloody siege)

Jack shot at the wolves but they looked bigger, and faster. He missed his aims, "I am out of bullets" he said anxiously

"Run," Jay said as he ran separately leaving the two ladies to run on their own. Jack held pretty's hand as they hurry away. The wolves had a leader, who instructed them and they look like human figures but hairy with claws and flange, They looked horrifying. 

Then suddenly they heard gunshots and some hairy monster running towards their side from the path they were headed they stopped and lost, not knowing where to go.......

They stopped aggressively like they were enemies and attacked themselves... As the sheriff hurried to get them to a safe place.

"Follow us" sheriff peter ordered as he shot after the wolves running after them suddenly pretty fell and twist her ankle.

As Jack tried to save her they got hold of him and tore his neck with their claw. Pretty got shocked as the blood spilled out and the sheriff and Cassie help her up.

They almost got to the car when they noticed. When two wolves got in front of Cassie and Dinah, they tried to get them but a wolf bigger than the rest came and rescued the girls. Jay just stood staring at them, he only think of himself and what benefits him. Then a wolf carried Dinah and Cassie tried to help her and suddenly she let go of her hand... "Cassie, what are you doing, don't let go" she pleaded

"Am sorry, am sorry" she said but Dinah didn't see what she saw. She saw more wolves running towards them and she was too scared to save Dinah.

She wanted to run then one of them seized her and hit on a big tree, she endured the pain and wanted to stand as she spits blood.

"Go save Cassie," Pretty said ordered Jay

"I can't risk my life," he said and got into the car

"You coward" she shouted

"It's too late," the sheriff said aloud

The sheriff entered the car and drove away as Pretty looked back towards Cassie, she saw the wolf take her away.

Cassie struggled with the wolf and she took a pen from her pocket and forcefully dip it in its eyes it threw her down with force and knelt in pain... She couldn't stand up, she began to crawl like a snake to get away from it... But it drew her and stabbed her with his crawls... She couldn't hear anything and she fell. 

Suddenly came the big wolf who had been protecting them, killed the wolf and carried her, Cassie knew she was going to die and regretted the fact that she didn't listen to her mom. And missed them deeply And badly wanted to see them before her last breath... The big wolf moved to her and she saw pity in its eyes... It took her hands and bite her...  She could see it howl and her park running towards her And they ran back towards the town.

Cassie closed her eyes and saw herself on a rock, and a lot of wolves were surrounding her... She want to run but someone held her "welcome to the park". 

" am not a wolf," she said breaking free

"You are one of us now," the person said she couldn't see the person's face "it's the only thing I can do to save ur life Cassandra castle,"

" How did you know my name?" Cassie asked shocked

"Already knew many things about you when I tasted your blood," the person said "the alpha queen, the protector of this people, because if we don't protect thiem every full moon, the bloody park will come in and tear these people into pieces," she said in a loud voice

"You are human?" Cassie asked surprised

"Yes half human, half wolf. Am a werewolf" she explained

"Where is Cassie?" Fiona asked in her mind praying nothing should have happened to her.

The sheriff shook his head "she didn't make it"

"What were you doing, Jay You were supposed to bring her back safely," Fiona said

"I couldn't go and save her because it is suicide" he answered arrogantly but still in fear and shock

"You are a coward" pretty accused angrily even " Jack protected me till death, poor Jack" she burst into tears Fiona hugged her

"And another girl," the woman asked

The sheriff answered "she is being taken away by the wolves"

The woman helps pretty sit, as she mourns with them.

"What about the sheriff?" Fiona asked

"He is no more, he is dead" Sheriff Peter burst into tears and cried to mourn his partner. Who had been devoured by the wolf

"We go for the bodies tomorrow morning," one of the strong men in their land said... While others support him.

The next morning, 

"Cassie, Cassie" Cassie could hear, she woke up

"Fiona" she called

"She is alive, she is alive" the villagers rush towards her and carried her. They carried Jack's body too, area are resents going to say now that they have lost him?

"Jack" she cried bitterly

Then she remembered "did you find my friend? Dinah?" She asked

"No" they answered "we are sorry, anyone taking by the pack can't be returned we are sorry" a man answered

"No, Dinah No" she cried remorsefully "I shouldn't have left her but I couldn't fight the werewolves," she said in tears

Cassie wept knowing that she will have to face the penalty when she gets back to the state. Tears dropped from her eyes, what can I do? I am a loser, the weak am not brave, and I couldn't protect my friends.

In the car, as they drive home with the body in the car, Jack sat speechless, plain and his blood smelled... Pretty didn't mind she sat with him and cried so deeply... Cassie didn't look at Jay she looked out of the window, it was a long ride home This won't be easy the investigators will come and interrogate the people because the government won't take it lightly.  Two kids and a sheriff were killed in the woods by werewolves... which people don't know exist cost. who will believe them... Will her parent believe her... She had led two kids to their death and what will people think of her? She should have investigated better before they came here.....

Choosing this location she wanted everything she has to be different classic, outstanding, incredible, and creative... Now she lost her friends by her excessive confidence... Then she remembered she was bitten she checked it and saw the bite was gone the place where the monster punctured her was gone... She could feel chill in her body but she couldn't tell anyone... She knows that everything happened for real and she is a different girl now... The blood of Jack smiled stranger than she could tell... Jay's sweat smelled horrible.

The cops who escort them led them to the station and Jack to the motuary so he can be preserved... He is now alone in the cold dark... Pretty thought as she hugged Cassie and cried deeply. In the station. What will be her fate now, she didn't know.
