Chapter 22

I made us food as Alexis sat silent and looked worried. She is way too quiet now. She read every message and cried. I got her to rest and we sat to watch a movie. She barely made it halfway through when she fell asleep curled up to Steven who still looked uneasy. Her pout turned him on but he tried to brush it off. He was stroking her hair and looking up gift ideas for her birthday in a week. Anything to distract him from what happened in the kitchen.

He was on a website giving gift ideas out to boyfriends. I chuckle because he calls her honey and baby a lot while I call her kitten. Scott and Seth call her honey a majority of the time and it doesn't bother me. None of it bothers me and that is strange. Alexis has a way of making you soft and I'm not complaining one bit.

Steven showed me a necklace he ordered with her birthstone in it. It was beautiful and expensive but the look of happiness on his face stopped the comment I was gonna make.
