Chapter 15I knew this was just a dreamwalk, so of course, it was going to be somewhat different than real life. But I was still astonished at what I was seeing. The girl I saw when I came around the corner was in fact Haven. The Haven I remember. With her fiery red hair down to her ass, and her deep green eyes. But she wasn’t a Necromancer... She wasn’t a Necromancer at all. She was a Forsaken... The Forsaken were a clan of old, one of the first even. They were said to be able to completely control the elements, all four of them in every capacity. The Forsaken were a graceful species. Everything about them was beautiful and flowing like water. Their hair, their voices, their movements, all fluid. Their magic was coveted by many, and clan after clan, species after species tried to capture them. Tried to find a way to extract their magic or imprison them and force them to use their magic for whatever their captors wanted at the time. Many tried, many failed, and even lost their very l
Chapter 16(Haven)I had lost count at how long the Necromancers had me down here. Had it been weeks, months? The nights and days were a blur. I spent my time dreamwalking to try and get a reprieve from the mess I was caught up in. Honestly, what did I expect anyways? I came out of hiding briefly and that’s all it took for them to locate me. Of course, they had the help of a half breed Witch, otherwise they never would have found me. She had been tracking me for quite some time apparently, and it was my mistake of surfacing again that caused a big red flag directly to my location. I was used to living in solitude, my kind was basically extinct, and I was alone. I had been for a very, very, long time. I was used to hiding and sneaking my way around the world. To be a Forsaken now, was surely a death sentence. I was surprised they hadn’t killed me yet. Instead, they had me playing house with the Reaver, Raphael. Little did they know just how well I really knew him. They were using me
Chapter 17Raphael was the first Reaver to mark me, I chose him first on purpose. I’ve always had a soft spot for him. He was the worst off out of the brothers. His family was murdered. This included his wife and twin boys who were only 3 years old at the time. It was a home invasion gone wrong. He was strong though, keeping his emotions at bay. But I could tell something was wrong when I first approached him. And when I looked into his memories, that's when I knew he was the one. He was the first. I chose him first, changed him first, wiped his memories first, and had him mark me first. None of this he remembers, obviously, but there is a permanent connection to me. He doesn’t know why other than the mark adorning my skin, but there is more. Before I changed him, we got very close. I had to get to know him, see him in all his Human flaws before I could make a true decision. I made the right decision, as with all four of the men I chose. I feel the decision was right. I didn't mean
Chapter 18(Raphael)I had spent most of the day searching for any secret entrances to those tunnels Haven told me about, with no luck at all. Wherever they were it had to be somewhere really hidden. It was getting close to nightfall, and I was planning on dreamwalking again to see if Haven had any other information she could give me. “Sir, Roxy spotted our men following her and she confronted them. They aren't sure exactly what to do now.” One of my warriors said through the mind link. “How were they seen?” I snarled, clearly annoyed as I had more pressing matters to attend to right now. “She said she’s known they have been following her for a few days now. They have remained hidden and they have no idea how she knew anything.” He said. “I’ll be right there.” I shot back. I pinched my fingers to the bridge of my nose. This girl is going to be the death of me. Axel was howling at the mention of our chosen mate's name and the thought of being able to see her again. Haven will just ha
Chapter 19I materialized into the closet that was nearby. I wanted to hear what was about to be said. Blaze walked in and shut the door. “Haven baby, come here” He said. I could tell he was frustrated by the sound of his voice. She walked over to him, of course, having to pretend she was still under his command. He took her into his arms and just held her for a bit. Then he leaned down and pressed his lips to hers, softly. I was not appeased by his actions, but of course I couldn’t say anything. He pulled away and looked at her like she was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. He really had a thing for her I suppose but killing her and raising her back from the dead wasn’t the best way to show it.“Haven baby, we need to get rid of Marina. I’m not quite sure what to do with her but she is starting to get out of control.” He said with a sigh. “All you have to do is kill her, and before she wakes up take her off the Land of the Dead. She will never wake up after that.” Haven said.
Chapter 20My brother's outlook on life was so positive. Everything to him was a joke, even when it wasn't. His personality was so contagious you couldn't help but laugh with him. I was a lot more formal and serious than him, but a good laugh here and there was always nice. I let out a chuckle at his accusation. "I need a Witch." I said as seriously as I could. I knew he knew I wasn't kidding, but leave it to him to make light of my situation. "Bubble, bubble, toil and trouble." Ramses chanted, waving his fingers in the air as if he were casting a spell. I raised an eyebrow at him and then he burst out laughing. I also started laughing. "Damnit Ramses, I'm serious!" I howled. Even when it wasn't funny, it was funny with him. He finally calmed down. "Ok, ok. What do you need said Witch for?" He asked curiously. I had finally calmed down enough to breathe normally. I didn’t reply right away, I guess he thought I didn’t hear him. “And why do you need a Witch, brother?” He asked me with
Chapter 21(Ramses)After my brother left, I went to find my date. Looks like she ended up leaving. I’m sure I would hear about it later, but she needs to lighten up. I, for one, thought it was hilarious that he barged in here guns blazing while we were mid coitus. My little brother, he was always in a mess, and I was always bailing him out. Of course, he would get himself mixed up with Necromancers, sheesh. I couldn’t help but laugh. Hell, it’s what I always did anyway. My Wolf, Titan, was just like me. Always cracking a joke and laughing. We were a lighthearted pair. I grabbed a drink from the bar noticing that Raphael didn’t finish his. It was still sitting there full of silver liquid. “Maybe if he drank more, he would lighten up.” Titan scoffed. I laughed. “He probably wouldn't.” I said back, as I shook my head. I went to my closet to find the perfect suit. I wanted something with not too much bronze, I needed to look presentable, not flashy. The Witches were a hard group to imp
Chapter 22(Raphael)I materialized outside of the front door of the diner. Looking inside, I could see Roxy at her usual table. She had my book in her hand and some papers spread out across the table. She was drinking a milkshake of some kind, and it looked like she was very engrossed in her work. I stood there for a min and just admired her. She kept pushing her crazy curls out of her face and I could tell she was getting frustrated when they wouldn’t stay back where she pushed them. I laughed as she just gave up, letting them fall wherever they decided to. Axel was pushing me to go inside. I opened the door and stepped inside, locking eyes with Roxy when she looked up to see who came in. A huge grin formed on her face when she realized it was me. I walked over to the table. “Roxy.” I said with a bow, and I sat down. “Hi Raphael!” She chirped. “What are you doing?” I asked her, eyeballing all the papers. It seemed as if she were building some sort of supernatural compilation. The
