Lyra’s whole felt sore as she squeezed her eyes waking up from her slumber, but the pain from all over her body was painful, making her remember the injury she sustained during the wiping. She winced, frowning as it was quite sharp and piercing.

Scrutinizing her environment, Lyra noticed she was in a small room, the room was dimly lit. Sitting on a bed, she could see the wall was decorated with stonework, but she felt this unfamiliar scent of wolves, not welcoming at all.

This wasn't the Silver Moon pack.

“Where am I?” She asked herself.

The door opened with a screech, then someone entered, it was Xander the Gamma that saved Lyra's life from those filthy rogues.

“You've woken up.” he said as he crossed his arms behind his back.

Lyra tried to get up while still in pain. “Please, where am I actually?” She asked, seemingly confused, glancing around looking for answers.

Xander walked with wide steps, carrying a sense of calm and ease, “The Silver Fang Pack.” Xander replied with a sly smile on his face.

Silver Fang pack, a powerful pack, known for being ruled by a fierce and cold-hearted Alpha. A pang of fear and unease filled Lyra's soul.

“You fell asleep on our way, so I brought you here, this will be your room.” he said, using his hands to gesture around the room.

Lyra's eyes darted around the room, the room was painted in a fine coffee brown color, with a little cupboard beside the wall. The room was small, but it looked comfortable.

The door opened once again as though on cue. A chilling tension filled the atmosphere as Lyra awaited who bashed in.

Someone of different appearance and demeanor walled in, making the air in the room thick and suffocating. The Alpha of Silver Fang.

His eyes locked into Lyra's for a second, maintaining eye contact, his stare sent a shiver down her spine, before she knew it, he spoke with a smirk on his face: “You're a rejected mate.” He said, making her heart sink to her stomach.

All of a sudden, he moved with two steps, wearing a cold aura. “You have no reason for being in this pack, you're useless.” He spat, devoid of all emotion.

Lyra didn't even have the chance to speak or refute, he continued without remorse, “You going to be slave to the pack.”

Lyra's mouth fell open as her eyes widened, her heartbeat thumped. “A slave?” She thought in her head, not daring to utter these words.

She turned to Xander for help, she looked at him with pleading eyes that almost resembled those of a puppy, but he didn't refute. Instead he supported Alpha Jackson.

“Yes, Alpha, I'll make sure she serves the pack as a slave and follows your orders. Xander replied, bowing slightly.

Lyra shook her head in disbelief, utterly shocked by Xander's response.

Lyra thought meeting the Gamma would improve her life but the turn of events really was hope wrecking. “Why is bad luck always surrounding me, so this is my fate to become a slave, what about finding mates and feeling loved wasn't that part of life, I guess I'm not living a life, I'm living a suffering.”

Lyra began to work as a slave in the Silver Fang Pack even before her injury healed. These are the disadvantages of being an Omega, their injuries didn't heal fast like other wolves. Days turned into weeks, Lyra's life in the Silver Fang pack became more unbearable each passing day.

The Silver Fang pack treated Lyra like trash, she was like dirt littered all over, her palms were injured from all the scrubbing she had to do, her body ached so much due to carrying heavy loads, and she was being starved.

She wasn't even given the permission to wear neat clothes, Lyra was restricted from shifting and barely had time to rest. Many members of the pack whispered, the warriors and even the Omegas.

Alpha Jackson had been her worst nightmare, he made sure suffered all her days of staying in his pack.

“This ungrateful thing, you deserve all you got.” he said. Lyra suffered to carrying the buckets of water she was instructed to carry to the training ground. “You should be glad I let you stay in this pack.” He yelled.

“Really, I should be happy?” Lyra wanted to scream, she wanted to fight, but she was broken. Her wolf Crystal has been seriously weak since Kael's rejection, making her empty and weak.

Lyra had no choice but to continue to endure all the pain.

One fateful night, rain fell heavily from the clouds, thunder roared violently in the sky, drenching the earth forcefully.

Lyra stood in front of Alpha Jackson glaring at her, her whole body was freezing as she shivered.

“You, this good for nothing, Omega.” He flared-up. “You're so pathetic you can't perform a simple task without breaking down. Someone as weak as you have no reason to be in this pack.”

With anger, he slapped her across the face twice.

“SMACK! SMACK!”

The slapped echoing in the room.

Lyra held her cheek, but her fingers trembled as she begged through her sobs: “Please.” “Please, I'll try harder.”

“You useless.” He said harshly. “You're weak, fragile, and sluggish, I shouldn't have let you stay in this pack in the first place, I would have allowed you to die in the wilderness or at least fed you to hungry pack members.”

Lyra bit her lips to the extent she tasted her blood.

The following words that proceeded from his mouth crushed her: “Leave this pack immediately.”

Lyra froze: His gaze cold, he said: “You wouldn't like me to repeat myself, leave immediately, you're insignificant and useless.”

His next words shattered the last piece of Lyra. “Where will she go from here?” She pondered.

“No please, don't send me away, I beg of you, please.” Lyra pleaded, a pool of tears welling up in her eyes as she let them fall, sobbing like a child.

Lyra inhaled deeply, calming herself down. She struck again, this time with agility, strength, and focus. Sweat was running down her back, evidence of how much effort she was putting in. “Child, you're getting better, but your reflexes are slow. You need to think faster than your opponent. Study your movement precisely as you act.” Elder Owen lectured, a sly smile on his lips; he is proud of Lyra. Lyra, exhausted and tired, sighed. “I'll retire now and continue tomorrow.” “Of course, go ahead

He stretched out his hands to reach for hers; Diana's body was weak, but she leaned on him. She looked at the man, his calm demeanor and chiseled jaw, and then his unfamiliar scent hit her, although it was soothing.“You're a member of the Silver Moon pack, right?” He inquired.“I'm not a member anymore; I've been exiled.” Diana replied with the little strength she had.“Oh, so that's the case.” The man responded.“You must be thirsty; drink this water.” She suggested offering her a bottle of water.Diana hesitated, but considering her current situation, she had to trust the stranger and drink the water. ONE WEEK LATER Diana has been in a state of unrest, pacing around her room. Her mind has refused to remain calm. What her eyes had seen was tormenting, and she was stuck with what to do. Well, Kael and Natasha were back from their vacation. “Alpha, welcome back.” Liam said with a welcome gesture, shaking Kael's hand. “I'm glad to be back.” Kael replied. “Welcome back, Luna.” Liam greeted Natasha. She smiled and then walked in, heading to the Alpha's quarters. “Everything has been in control since you left, but there's one thing.” Liam said, lowering his voice. “The woman Diana has been doing some dirty business I believe might be of harm to the pack.” “I'm not so sure, but her communication with those outside the pack is alarming.” Liam reported to Kael. “We will look into that soon. I'll be in my quarters.” Kael said and left. Diana stood up from her bed sweating bullets, her heart beating rapidly, her lips pale, and her head aching. She paced in her room. Then decided in
