Hunter’s Pov.

I could feel her sadness when I called Alpha Tristan’s daughter mate. I could also feel the intense emotion flood her heart and it felt like I was the one physically feeling her pain.

It was obvious that she was feeling confused and unwanted and that was why I said and did nothing when she quietly left, I understood that she needed time to herself to vent and calm down. Plus, I couldn’t comfort her nor explain anything to her because of the two people who also needed an explanation as to why I had ghosted them for so long.

I was caught in a hard spot, I was basically in between a rock and the deep blue sea…I had no choice as no matter what I did, someone would still get hurt. And as much as it pains me that she had to be the one to take the brunt of my miscalculation, it was all for the better.

Alpha Tristan is one ally I need to make my interest in becoming the Werewolf king a reality and so, I cannot afford to piss him off, just yet.
