With the pleasantries exchanged, Elowyn found Hazel quite easy to talk to. She wasn’t as scary as she would have thought if she hadn’t been forced to watch her ancestry drama. So, she was at ease when talking with her.

Through the chat, she also learnt that her children didn’t survive. Hazel had them cremated since it was bad luck to keep them for a long time. Elowyn was unconscious for months, thus Hazel’s drastic move.

Elowyn felt pain when she learnt that her babies were cremated, but it was still better. After all, their ashes were still there. Hazel even gave her the two urns with the ashes. She felt complicated holding them.

Since Hazel was very open with her, she also shared what she felt wasn’t harmful to Hazel. About her abilities and all that.

Hazel felt grateful when she heard Elowyn telling her about all that. It seemed that she didn’t save the wrong person.

After getting to know each other, the most important question was; what was Elowyn going to do now?

When that question was asked, Elowyn’s eyes flickered with a murderous glint that Hazel didn’t miss. She couldn’t help but shudder to imagine how bad it was going to be for those people who wronged Elowyn.

“Hehe, I am going to become stronger and make their lives a living hell!” she coldly chuckled, tilting her head to the side, a sinister gaze in her eyes as she firmly said that.

Hazel nonetheless smiled, thinking about how insane Elowyn was, but her actions were the kind that she didn’t object to. After all, she truly liked people who take matters into their own hands and deal with their own problems.

How could their enemies just love happily when they were suffering?

Seeing that her thoughts aligned pretty well with hers, Hazel couldn’t help but be enthusiastic about the topic and Elowyn, who had been dying about avenging herself, happily obliged.

While the two were happily scheming and plotting, somewhere else, a man was on the verge of dying.

“Arghhhhh~” his piercing screams filled the room, making everyone in the room run around in panic.

“Hold him down! Are you that weak?” Veda screamed hysterically at the useless people inside the bedroom as she held her bulging belly, veins nearly popping out.

Being restrained by three strong men was Hilary who from nowhere suddenly started sweating, startling Veda who was hoping for another dreamless night.

As if that wasn’t shocking enough, in a span of minutes, Hilary started twitching dramatically, his eyes rolling furiously and it looked too shocking. She could only call for help.

By the time the beta, other warriors and healers came to the bedroom. Hilary was screaming in pain, clutching his chest, with veins popping.

Veda was scared but she couldn’t go anywhere near him at all. She protected her belly, as sweat dripped from her body not understanding why Hilary was suffering like that from nowhere.

He had been down ever since the disappearance of Elowyn. She was truly hurt and upset because she had an inkling that he became soft hearted and let Elowyn leave.

However, upon seeing how he barely left the pack, was absentminded and all that. She decided to forgive him.

He might think about that unlucky vixen as long as he doesn’t find her. She was fine with that. But what she couldn’t accept was this current situation.

She didn’t know how to deal with it at all.

Just what was wrong with him?

The warriors managed to hold Hilary down and he was given a calming injection which made things easier.

He was tied to the bed, and the healers started wiping the blood from his mouth. However, his body remained twitching as he let out painful groans.

“Have you found out what’s going on?” Veda asked concernedly, worry in her tone as she glared at the female healer.

The female healer shook her head with a sigh as she looked at Veda.

“Luna, honestly, I am not sure. I haven’t come across something so bizarre like this in my healer career!”

She was at a loss, to be honest. Especially when seeing that the Alpha was in serious pain despite the healing that everyone had just done.

That answer wasn’t what Veda wanted to hear. She angrily stomped her feet as she glared at the useless healer before shifting to the male one and asking the same question.

The male healer understood that Luna’s emotions weren’t stable, he decided not to be vague but gave as much detail as he could since he noticed something.

“Luna, I am afraid that the Alpha is suffering pain from the heart from what I have seen. If that is indeed the case, then I am afraid that only he can heal this pain. We can’t interfere,” he truthfully said, recalling how the Alpha’s symptoms looked similar to those of people who had just gone through a rejection.

When a mate rejects another, the tethering gets cut. He had seen and treated a lot of werewolves who suffered from that pain. Though it wasn’t fully healing them. However, their pain and symptoms didn’t seem to be as severe as what he was seeing. But that was the only illness he could think about at the moment, though it didn’t make sense.

After all, the Alpha only had one mate. The Luna who was currently acting all worried at the moment. They were obviously connected. So, there was no possibility that the Alpha got rejected, right?

There was possibly no way that could happen, right?

The room was filled with silence as everyone tried to digest the healer’s words, which didn’t seem to make sense and yet did at the same time.

While everyone else was confused, Hilary was dying. He was feeling as if he was being torn in shreds, and it was definitely not a joke.

[Hilary, she is dead. She is dead, isn’t she? Otherwise, why will it hurt this much?] Adolf was howling in pain and Hilary, in his spirit form, wasn’t any better.

It all started the night he stabbed Elowyn.

Hilary was in shambles when Veda vanished three years ago. That was the mate, his mate the Moon Goddess gave to him, and yet she vanished without a trace.

The pain was so much for him that there were so many times he wanted to end it all, but he kept on having hope.

One day, he met her, Elowyn, in the forest. She saved him, or rather, she schemed against him and made it look like she saved him. Either way, after that saving grace. He brought her to the pack where they got together and were lovers for three years.

He thought that as long as he didn’t find Veda, he didn’t mind marrying Elowyn and living with her. But who would have known that a few months before the wedding, Veda returned to his life? After learning the painful events she went through, his heart faltered.

Moreover, they were mates and since there wasn’t any rejection previously, he felt that it was better to be with her. Besides, Veda was better compared to Elowyn, who was human. It was very hard for the others to accept a human as a Luna. The elders wanted him to pick a chosen mate amongst the wolf pack members or from other packs. At least, that way they could do something meaningful for the pack.

In other words, Elowyn didn’t have a lot of support. Unfortunately, she knew nothing about that.

“Kayden!” she called out to him, and he nodded at her.Earlier, the Alpha had told her repeatedly to call him by his name without the title. Although she felt uncomfortable at first, after exchanging words a few more times, she found herself calling him like that.Perhaps she adapted pretty well because she used to call Hilary by his name as well. Especially when they were alone.Anyway, that wasn’t the crux of the matter right now. She wasn’t with Hilary anymore but with Kayden.[Doesn’t she look beautiful?] Caesar shamelessly boasted as he groomed himself, and Kayden found himself taking several sneakier glances at Elowyn. She wasn’t wearing any fancy clothes, yet she looked ethereal. His heart couldn’t help but pound.‘Beautiful!’“Um ….. um,” but that wonderful moment was disrupted when Letty cleared her throat exaggeratedly, making Elowyn’s fa

With her mind made up, Elowyn no longer stressed herself with many things.Recalling what the Alpha had told her earlier, she started freshening up, getting ready for dinner. It was time to meet others and get acquainted with them. *****Meanwhile, inside Kayden’s villa, he was in the main living room with several people who looked quite relaxed and not imposing.“Kayden, are you really sure that we should keep this girl?”“Yes, she looks a bit delicate.”“What’s her story?”Kayden looked at the men and women who were not just his subordinates, right-hand men, but also friends with a smile. He couldn’t help but remember how lonely he was when he first joined the supernatural world. The fear, doubt and many other thoughts. He was lost, but one by one, meeting them made his life pretty much easier. They have been togethe

Elowyn was in a great mood as she looked at the villa she finally settled on after checking the other villas that were currently not in use.To think that Alpha Kayden could build so many villas for his pack members to live in, she could see the love he has for his family, and that alone made her like the man even more.Coming to the Aynor pack, Elowyn always knew that her stay was guaranteed. After all, Hazel had settled everything for her. But in that moment when she was speaking with the Alpha, she couldn’t help but want to do something for herself. She alone understood how badly she wanted this chance. She knew that the Alpha didn’t have any reason to train her or be involved with this mess. That’s why she went down on her knees to beg him for this chance. She wanted him to know her earnestness. Her looks can be deceiving, and that could be deadly. What if no one takes her seriously or simply assumes that she is delicate and couldn&r

“I will have your identification problem solved before the end of the week. So, I might need your details, if you don’t mind.”Elowyn readily gave them. she didn’t even need to give false information at all. however, she couldn’t help but remind him of something.“I am not sure how you will find my name written in the system. If it’s not deceased, then please just have my previous identification reissued, but if it comes out as deceased, then please use Gardner instead of Gregory as my last name,” she firmly said, taking into account that Hilary might have declared her dead. After all, she truly died in some sense that night.Kayden was curious when he heard that. After all, how could a living person be announced dead all of a sudden? So, he asked her directly.“Do you mind telling me about what happened to you? Why do you need to hide and what you want to achieve? You can choose not to say anyt

She was once fooled by Hilary, and she wasn’t going to let another man fool her again.Luckily, she was only here to stay away from trouble and train. She wasn’t here to date and fool around. With her goals firm, she pushed aside her bias towards Kayden. However, he lives his life, which was on him and not her.So, why fuss? With that in mind, her eyes softened as a smile appeared on her face.Unknown to her, her changes were all captured by Kayden. In fact, her scent shocked him. From being sweet to sour suddenly. It was sour briefly and in that short moment, he could sense this strong aversion towards him that he couldn’t understand. Not understanding what her mind was thinking, the sourness vanished, replaced by the sweetness that got him enchanted. If only he could read her mind, then wouldn’t he be stressed?Unfortunately, there was no way to solve this problem. Back to the present, after Elowyn ate her food, she began to focus on Linda.“Where are we going. What is it called?”“Aynor town. It’s a private small town with a reasonable number of residents,” Linda answered cautiously.Elowyn’s eyes lit up when she heard that. She wasn’t particularly fond of bustling places. They made her feel socially awkward. She was more used to staying in secluded places. Perhaps she was influenced by her mother, who took her to stay in the woods for years before she found Hilary, who took her to stay with his pack, which resided in the woods as well.Due to their uniqueness, it was rare for packs to live amongst normal human beings. They might mingle and work with them, but to live amongst them, that would mean increasing the risk of being found out. There weren’t many people who knew about the supernatural. Whilst the leaders knew about it, normal humans had no clue. To avo
