CHAPTER 43: DEPARTURE 3

The three friends finally met, and the reunion was quite exaggerated and yet normal. It always happens every single time, though Elowyn still couldn’t get used to it.

After the three of them had their fun, their focus finally shifted to the extra person, Miles, who had been acting invisible all the time.

Bryssa looking at the guileless person in front of her, suddenly felt like teasing him. She took several steps towards him, while Elowyn watched with interest as she hooked her arms with Lizzy.

Miles upon seeing Bryssa, he took a few steps back but her piercing gaze made him freeze on the spot, feeling cold flushes as if he was about to have fever.

His dead heart couldn’t help but flutter as he looked at the young woman, he had unknowingly started feeling strange feelings for. When did it start?

He wasn’t even sure himself, but he knew that he was doomed.

He didn’t know what she wanted to do, but he knew that she wouldn’t hurt him. But what if …..?

As he was thinking like that, Bryssa suddenly turned around, a cheeky smile on her face, making him feel astounded.

‘What just happened?’

Meanwhile, Elowyn seeing Bryssa toying with this vampire couldn’t help but chuckle as she nudged Lizzy, “lets get our bags and make a move. We will be late!”

She didn’t want to stay here anymore and end up missing her flight because of some drama. Drama can wait.

Lizzy, completely oblivious to what was happening let out an, ‘oh,’ before following Elowyn.

Bryssa seeing these two heartless friends already preparing, turned to look at Miles and smilingly said, “have a safe trip back home and don’t get ourself charred. It will be a pity if you end up burnt into ashes before I have my fun,” her words stumping Miles, who looked at Bryssa like a lovestruck fool.

The three friends happily made way towards the airport, and Miles could only watch, a sheepish smile appearing on his face.

“She cares for me, right?” he mumbled as he pinched his palm, but felt no pain.

Who made him that way?

Meanwhile, on the girls’ side, Lizzy looked suspiciously at Bryssa and asked with narrowed eyes, “Why do you like teasing Miles? What’s interesting in teasing that cold vamp?” not understanding the thrill of it all.

Elowyn chuckled as she looked away. She had always thought that Lizzy was very bright and quite discerning, but now she was starting to see that Lizzy was selective. At times, she was brainless. Even, she was much better compared to Lizzy.

How could Lizzy not even see what was happening?

Wasn’t that cousin of hers quite very obvious?

Even a passerby could sense something and yet she was so dense.

Lizzy’s observation skills were truly worrisome.

However, Bryssa’s foul mouth was one to be guarded against, as her answer left Elowyn twitching and wishing to board the plane as soon as possible.

“Hehe, doesn’t he look too eager to be teased and bullied?” she responded teasingly, making Lizzy to be astounded and before she could respond to that, Bryssa continued, “every time I see him, I feel like abusing him. Do you think that I will win if I pin him down?” cocking her brow to the side.

Elowyn this time, pretended like she wasn’t hearing a single thing.

She simply left the two to talk it out.

Forty minutes later, the three of them were seated in the first class, enjoying great service.

It was going to be a four-hour flight, after all. They needed all the rest. Where they were going, rest was going to be a luxury.

The plane took off, and the girls minded their own business. Elowyn took this chance to have a proper sleep. After all, she was awakened by that scary nightmare. It forced her to forgo any sleep, so that she could write the vision down before preparing for the journey.

Four and a half hours later, the three girls shivered slightly as the cool breeze hit them.

“Damn! How could there be such a drop in temperature?” Elowyn complained, feeling the slight cold hitting her.

It was still summer and the sun was supposed to be blazing, and yet a change of town, it made her feel like she had entered autumn, with winter approaching.

Looking at her bare legs, she just wanted to get into a taxi and go to the hotel for a nice hot bath.

The two friends chuckled as they looked at Elowyn. Between the three of them, it could be said that, only Elowyn was dressed minimally. The two of them, they were pretty much safe.

Elowyn glared at her friends and rolled her eyes as she harrumphed, marching towards the waiting taxi, grumbling, “Laugh! Umph, I will deal with you later!” and only gained a hearty laughter in return.

The three friends took their taxi to the hotel that they have booked for the night.

Since they planned to stay there for a single night, they didn’t bother to book many rooms but suite with double beds.

Elowyn took one bed and the other two shared one bed that night.

After a warm meal and a relaxing bath, the three friends lay in bed, with their pajamas.

Bryssa was playing with a fluttering butterfly, seeking attention from her, while Lizzy was on her phone, and Elowyn was playing with the dagger that Kayden gifted her that morning.

“Is it all settled?” with a calm tone, Elowyn asked, her attention focused on the dagger in hand.

Without raising her head, Lizzy responded, “Um, I have finalized everything. We will collect them tomorrow in the morning. We should be there in the afternoon.”

Bryssa grunted after hearing that and added, “I have sent some friendly friends over there. We won’t be in the dark. It will go well like always,” as she looked at Elowyn, whose glint looked quite dangerous as she played with that dagger, making Bryssa shiver for a moment.

‘Scary!’

Elowyn’s lips curled upwards when she heard that. she stopped toying with the dagger and looked at her friends, saying, “That’s good. Let us finish this matter in one night. I have a gala to attend. I can’t miss it for the world!” a cunning glint in her eyes as she spoke about that.
