LOGINTwo hours ago.
The combined dinner went pretty well and everyone enjoyed themselves, though it wasn’t everyone who were still in a good mood.
After Sara and Elowyn had that little chat about wolves, Elowyn was no longer in the mood to continue with the meal. So, after the meal ended, Elowyn and her group of sisters excused themselves and cited some reasons to retire early.
No one stopped them, after all, it was normal for campers to have some privacy at moments like these.
Once the three of them entered their camper van, their smiles completely vanished and Elowyn punched squeezed the metal ball she picked from the table into a deformed state, which didn’t seem to surprise the two girls.
“They brought a damn wolf! What do you think they are planning to do?” Lizzy angrily said, feeling so angry at how shameless those people are.
“Tche, isn’t that all because they fear being targeted? Having a werewolf by their side gives them some security feeling that they won’t be overpowered,” Bryssa responded, her tone quite sarcastic as her eyes flashed with a murderous glint.
Elowyn clenched her jaws as she looked at her friends and icily spoke, “I don’t care if they have brought werewolves, chimeras, witches or vampires. All I know is that tonight, we save those poor souls at whatever cost. We are moving out now. The sooner we deal with this problem, the sooner we can rest and enjoy our vacation.”
The two girls beamed when they heard that and gave Elowyn a salute.
Their faces didn’t carry any expression of fear or hesitancy. After having done this, five other times previously, this assignment was a piece of cake. They were quite eager to make a move.
Without wasting much time, Bryssa contacted her men and had them move out. As for them, Elowyn had other plans.
“To ensure that we won’t arouse any suspicion, I will work with Lizzy to cast and cement a spell. Whoever comes to find us, will not suspect that we aren’t there,” Elowyn stated.
Considering the fact that there were a lot of people at the campsite, they had no choice but to do this.
As a result, Lizzy and Elowyn quickly worked on casting the spell while Bryssa took care of the last-minute preparations.
After nearly an hour, the spell was cast, and under the effects of the spell and the invisible shield which belonged to Elowyn, the three girls left the camping site, heading toward the real location that brought them here in the first place.
Ten minutes after their departure, Sara found herself heading towards the girls camper and when she got there, she called out for the girls while knocking but after a while there was no response.
“Are they sleeping already?” she muttered under her breath as she looked around.
Thinking about how other people were deep sleepers, she didn’t think much but left eventually. However, a glint of uncertainty and suspicion flickered in her eyes briefly as she looked towards the mountain ridge.
Everything will go according to plan, right?
Meanwhile, on the girls side, they had no idea that someone came to find them. Even if they knew, they wouldn’t be much worried. After all, who didn’t sleep deeply when tired?
Walking on foot, the three girls trekked the mountain trails until they finally reached the group of military men armed to the full and looking very menacing.
“They are here!” the men whispered as they looked at the three girls dressed in all black from head to toe.
Upon seeing them, the two men who had visited Bryssa earlier, stepped forward and approached the three of them, their gazes still filled with respect.
Bryssa didn’t waste any time but went straight to the point.
“Is everyone ready?”
“Yes, we are ready to move in.”
“Have there been any changes ever since then?”
“A werewolf arrived. Just one. So, we don’t need to worry much about him.”
Upon hearing that, the girls agreed to that. It would have been tough if they were many, but with just one werewolf and numerous human beings. The fight wasn’t going to be a tough one.
“Good. Seeing everyone very confident, let’s do this job perfectly without leaving any loose ends. It doesn’t matter if those bastards all die. As long as we rescue the women, our job will be done mostly. We go in and out. Don’t let anything that can identify you be lost and end up in the hands of the enemy of law enforcement. We wouldn’t such thing happening, would we?”
“No, we will be careful!”
“Good. Now let’s move out!”
And a few moments later, the group of thirty swiftly moved in the forest without attracting too much trouble.
The girls were at the back, following steadily.
An invisible shield covered the group, and Elowyn didn’t seem to be sweating as her palms were facing upwards, her lips moving as if mumbling something.
Bryssa wasn’t idle. Wrapping around her wrist was a small green snake, flickering its tongue. But if someone was to look at her closely, they could see that her lips were moving, as if chatting with someone.
As for Lizzy, her fingers were moving constantly and illusionary shadows that looked human like surrounded them.
In their own ways, they were protecting the group. The group that was going to change the lives of many.
For this moment, this very assignment, this group was part of the adjudicators of justice.
Ever since Elowyn started having disturbing visions, seeing the cruelty that other people have towards the weak, she knew that she had to do something about it.
She wasn’t exactly formidable, but since she possessed such a rare gift, she didn’t want to be startled awake simply because she saw something and didn’t do anything about it.
Have you ever had nightmares continuously? Watching as helpless children gets abducted, gets tortured, gets sold, and only to be used for dark rituals by these dark witches?
She had experienced that once. It was the first time she had such a vision, and it was eight months ago.
She didn’t take the vision that seriously. Besides, even if she wanted to do so, what else could she have done to change the outcome?
When has a single person ever changed the world?
Elowyn generously waved her hand at Sara, understanding how tough it must be for this human.“It’s not a problem. It would have been worse if we haven’t showed up. Now that would have looked like we have just diched the plan and not kept to our promise. Thank you for coming over.”“As long as you find no fault. I am grateful.”After Sara made her own statement, Melinda also got down to hers.“Um, I miscalculated my period days. I was wondering if you have any extra pads or something. Anything for me to pass the night until its morning,” she shyly stated her course, and Sara finally understood why she was acting like that. But there were other campers at the site, why not go to them but to Elowyn?Elowyn didn’t have such thoughts as Sara. After hearing Melinda’s reason, she felt this weird emotion. It kind of reminded her of when she was still by herself in that forest, didn’t
Creak. The door of the camper van opened and the three girls dressed in black all entered sighing with relief.“Darn! This was simply so ….. ahhh, I hope that we won’t come across such scum in the future!” Lizzy disgustedly spoke, recalling the situation she saw in that basement.Elowyn chuckled as she walked towards the bathroom and answered, “such scum will never disappear. What we can do is continue to strive to eliminate them. If possible, find the real masterminds and rid of them.”Both girls nodded to that and watched as Elowyn stripped herself clean before entering the bathroom.“I think that we should start looking into the law enforcement as well. If we can’t afford to reveal ourselves, then at least getting rid of these filthy people, who use the law for their own wishes, would suffice. At least, we will be able to discreetly send evidence to them and let them do the job on our behal
‘It hurts!’ she patted her stifling chest as she looked at the women inside the cellar, all unconscious after she had spread the knock out drug. She couldn’t let any of these people see her face. Who knows what they might say? They were like superheroes. Perform a good deed and never taking on the credit.[It’s going to be fine with time.]‘With time? We have managed to save only few these past months, but who knows how many others have succumbed to such inhumane ending before we started this? Think about those who I can’t even see, who are getting taken and disappearing every single day. Just think about them.’Elowyn was so angry. She grew up with her mother, and their life was considered good. at least, she had never suffered.Despite growing up in the forest, living off the land, she wasn’t raised like some animal and had her principles. In fact, her mother, she raised her
Seeing how emotional the young woman was. It was perhaps a good chance to take that shot and run for her life.As long as he manages to escape, she will deal with any consequences later. Her brain worked very fast, that by the time Elowyn finished speaking, her gun was pointing at Elowyn as she hysterically said, “since you are determined to see this through then eat my bullet first,” and took a shot, a ferocious smile on her face.Elowyn watched amazingly as the bullet flew towards her and the woman in red took that chance to make a run for her life, but after taking two steps, a rat from nowhere jumped onto her face, and she screamed as she clawed the dirty little thing off her face.“I guess that even rats despise such an inhumane person like you!” Elowyn’s cold voice rang behind the woman, and she shuddered, cursing why the bullet didn’t shoot such a person. The little rat seeing that it has done its job, ran
Rat-ta-ta.Peung. Peung.“Take cover!”“Over there! Get these sons of bitches!”Bullets were flying everywhere, and bodies were falling to the ground, blood oozing and the scene not very pleasant to look at.That was the scene that greeted the woman in red.Seeing her men lying dead on the ground, their bodies riddled with bullet holes, she hated whoever was behind this so much. With fury raging inside of her, she raised her gun, taking cover behind a pillar, picked a target and took a shot.Unfortunately, as if the person she was aiming for had eyes behind his head, the man dodged the bullet and while she was in shock of such a thing – as in missing for the first time, she growled in pain as a searing pain pierced right through her shoulder. She had been shot.Infuriated at this unexpected attack, she took over elsewhere and started spraying bullets at any military men she saw and ye
She pretended like she knew nothing but when the vision came back repeatedly, and a few days later overheard Kayden and the other leaders talking about how the dark witches had struck again and used children for their sacrifices, causing so much panic on both sides. When she realized that her vision had been true and when she was having it, the kids were still much alive and could have been saved. She couldn’t sleep well for a long time. She focused more on training herself and praying for those departed soul.In fact, she vowed that as long as she could save them, she was willing to go to any great lengths to do so. However, she was just by herself and if she were to tell Kayden, wouldn’t she expose her real identity? What would happen if Kayden and his pack realized that she was a seer? That scared her and made her reluctant to share her burdens with Kayden, but who could have foreseen that fate had other plans for her.A month after
