LOGINElowyn found herself floating like a ghost, hovering above a stretch of green grass and to make matters worse, it was daylight. The sun was shining so bright and those trees looked very green with those grasses swaying as if they were enjoying the sun’s grace.
If she wasn’t mistaken, it was night already. That’s why she could enjoy the moonlight and not the sunshine. And yet in a matter of seconds, the world had turned upside down. What the heck was going on?
Badum. Badum. Badum.
Her heart was beating nervously as she looked around this strange place where she couldn’t even move.
“What’s happening?” Elowyn asked once again, clenching her fists as she looked around, hoping to find some clues as to why she was in such a state.
However, a few moments after she asked that, something magical happened.
Rustle. Rustle.
“There is something there!” she nervously whispered as she turned in a certain direction with a bunch of trees.
She didn’t know if there were people or animals but whatever it is. As long as she sees something, perhaps she would understand what was happening.
Moments later, a group of people emerged from that side and all of them had one thing in common: they wore familiar cloaks which reminded her of Hazel.
“Are they witches?” she nervously asked herself as that group of cloaked people continued to walk in an organized manner.
She didn’t know where they were going and why they appeared there, but judging by how serious they were, she had an inkling that something was happening. But what was it?
It shouldn’t have anything to do with her, right?
Thinking like that, Elowyn found herself sweating once again. She wasn’t going to die again, right?
She didn’t want to leave this world so soon before she could even avenge herself.
“Are you sure that we will find her in that direction?” However, when one of those cloaked figures suddenly spoke, all her thoughts vanished immediately.
Who were they talking about?
It wasn’t her, right?
“Um, that’s what my crow told me. We just need to follow this path, and we will definitely find her.”
“But ….. isn’t there a faster way to find her than walk around like this as if we are from some primitive era?” another hot-tempered female witch snapped.
“Heh, have you forgotten who we are dealing with? Have you forgotten how many of us suffered under her hands? You want to expose yourself and die before you can even …… don’t start!”
Elowyn, listening to that, started piecing together some puzzle pieces.
This group of witches were hunting someone and whoever they were hunting was very powerful. So powerful that they had to resort to this painful method of tracking her. it was a world of technology and they didn’t even have to walk on their feet.
Even if they were walking in a forest, couldn’t they find those motorbikes?
As witches, there should be a few of them who could teleport, right? If not, why not use the brooms?
Hazel once told her that some of them use them. So why not do them a favor and use what they have?
Anyway, since her ghost body seemed to follow this group of people without any problems, she decided to continue to listen. It seemed like she was brought here to eavesdrop on them, so why not?
As a result, Elowyn indeed followed this group of witches who had different characters but happen to be united when it comes to finding the other powerful witch, they were determined to bring back whether alive or dad.
Days and nights passed, but Elowyn didn’t get a single clue to who they were talking about. She couldn’t even extricate herself from this group. If this was a test of patience from her mentor, then the other party truly found a good way to torture her.
Elowyn followed the group until she started having a bad premonition when a familiar area appeared in her view.
“Isn’t that where we are living right now?” seeing the familiar forest, full of magical trees which loves confusing others, she was stunned.
“Get ready to attack. She should be in there. Remember, we need to be fast. If we let her go again this time, the great witch would have our heads!” the leader of the group sternly ordered the others, and Elowyn watched for the first time how witches operated.
Because she didn’t understand those trees, she barely left the open area where the cave was, where she and Hazel lived. Moreover, she was afraid of the dangers out there that she could face. So, she kept herself in the surrounding areas. Who would have thought that she would get to see what she was seeing in such detail after a moment of meditation?
Thinking like that, Elowyn was suddenly struck with realization.
‘Could this be …… am I getting a vision, right now?’
Everything started making sense. She was a seer and she didn’t even go into her training area and yet she had one fast one pulled on her. If that wasn’t a vision, then what was it?
Upon recognizing what she was seeing, Elowyn became very serious as she watched with earnestness.
From what she learnt; every single detail should be taken seriously. It would be very helpful in preventing whatever disaster that was supposed to come.
This group of witches were definitely coming for Hazel, and whoever sent them wanted Hazel dead. How could she let Hazel suffer like that after she saved her?
Although she might not be able to do anything right now but once she opens her eyes for real, then she might be able to do so.
With that in mind, she continued to watch as these witches burnt to the ground the trees that Hazel had been protecting. No matter how many times the trees tried to defend themselves, they weren’t a match for these cold-blooded witches.
All sorts of spells she had never seen in her entire life were used. From burning, to freezing and uprooting. What did they not do?
They were very organized and seemed to have worked with each other for a very long time. Others fought with the magical trees and creatures, while another group dashed ahead.
Elowyn followed the group that was eager and impatient to find Hazel, with her heart clutched in her hands.
The group found Hazel and it so happened that at the time she was found, Hazel was guarding her.
Looking at the posture that Elowyn was in, it seemed that she was in the middle of meditating. Seeing herself in such a dangerous state and then seeing how these witches were ready to blow Hazel into pieces. Elowyn suddenly felt guilty however, that feeling intensified when she witnessed how Hazel fought with everything that she had while shielding her from any harm.
“Kayden!” she called out to him, and he nodded at her.Earlier, the Alpha had told her repeatedly to call him by his name without the title. Although she felt uncomfortable at first, after exchanging words a few more times, she found herself calling him like that.Perhaps she adapted pretty well because she used to call Hilary by his name as well. Especially when they were alone.Anyway, that wasn’t the crux of the matter right now. She wasn’t with Hilary anymore but with Kayden.[Doesn’t she look beautiful?] Caesar shamelessly boasted as he groomed himself, and Kayden found himself taking several sneakier glances at Elowyn. She wasn’t wearing any fancy clothes, yet she looked ethereal. His heart couldn’t help but pound.‘Beautiful!’“Um ….. um,” but that wonderful moment was disrupted when Letty cleared her throat exaggeratedly, making Elowyn’s fa
With her mind made up, Elowyn no longer stressed herself with many things.Recalling what the Alpha had told her earlier, she started freshening up, getting ready for dinner. It was time to meet others and get acquainted with them. *****Meanwhile, inside Kayden’s villa, he was in the main living room with several people who looked quite relaxed and not imposing.“Kayden, are you really sure that we should keep this girl?”“Yes, she looks a bit delicate.”“What’s her story?”Kayden looked at the men and women who were not just his subordinates, right-hand men, but also friends with a smile. He couldn’t help but remember how lonely he was when he first joined the supernatural world. The fear, doubt and many other thoughts. He was lost, but one by one, meeting them made his life pretty much easier. They have been togethe
Elowyn was in a great mood as she looked at the villa she finally settled on after checking the other villas that were currently not in use.To think that Alpha Kayden could build so many villas for his pack members to live in, she could see the love he has for his family, and that alone made her like the man even more.Coming to the Aynor pack, Elowyn always knew that her stay was guaranteed. After all, Hazel had settled everything for her. But in that moment when she was speaking with the Alpha, she couldn’t help but want to do something for herself. She alone understood how badly she wanted this chance. She knew that the Alpha didn’t have any reason to train her or be involved with this mess. That’s why she went down on her knees to beg him for this chance. She wanted him to know her earnestness. Her looks can be deceiving, and that could be deadly. What if no one takes her seriously or simply assumes that she is delicate and couldn&r
“I will have your identification problem solved before the end of the week. So, I might need your details, if you don’t mind.”Elowyn readily gave them. she didn’t even need to give false information at all. however, she couldn’t help but remind him of something.“I am not sure how you will find my name written in the system. If it’s not deceased, then please just have my previous identification reissued, but if it comes out as deceased, then please use Gardner instead of Gregory as my last name,” she firmly said, taking into account that Hilary might have declared her dead. After all, she truly died in some sense that night.Kayden was curious when he heard that. After all, how could a living person be announced dead all of a sudden? So, he asked her directly.“Do you mind telling me about what happened to you? Why do you need to hide and what you want to achieve? You can choose not to say anyt
She was once fooled by Hilary, and she wasn’t going to let another man fool her again.Luckily, she was only here to stay away from trouble and train. She wasn’t here to date and fool around. With her goals firm, she pushed aside her bias towards Kayden. However, he lives his life, which was on him and not her.So, why fuss? With that in mind, her eyes softened as a smile appeared on her face.Unknown to her, her changes were all captured by Kayden. In fact, her scent shocked him. From being sweet to sour suddenly. It was sour briefly and in that short moment, he could sense this strong aversion towards him that he couldn’t understand. Not understanding what her mind was thinking, the sourness vanished, replaced by the sweetness that got him enchanted. If only he could read her mind, then wouldn’t he be stressed?Unfortunately, there was no way to solve this problem. He could only take it one second at a
Back to the present, after Elowyn ate her food, she began to focus on Linda.“Where are we going. What is it called?”“Aynor town. It’s a private small town with a reasonable number of residents,” Linda answered cautiously.Elowyn’s eyes lit up when she heard that. She wasn’t particularly fond of bustling places. They made her feel socially awkward. She was more used to staying in secluded places. Perhaps she was influenced by her mother, who took her to stay in the woods for years before she found Hilary, who took her to stay with his pack, which resided in the woods as well.Due to their uniqueness, it was rare for packs to live amongst normal human beings. They might mingle and work with them, but to live amongst them, that would mean increasing the risk of being found out. There weren’t many people who knew about the supernatural. Whilst the leaders knew about it, normal humans had no clue. To avo
