“Shut up!” Hilary felt irritated watching her laughing like that. Something about the way she was acting made him feel panicked, and he was having a foreboding feeling that didn’t sit well with him.

However, Elowyn didn’t stop just because he commanded her to.

“Do you think that I will not touch you, now that you are standing there?” he gnashed his teeth angrily as he coldly asked her, but she merely laughed before she suddenly stopped, which was eerie even for him.

“Tsk. Tsk. Hilary, I swear with the moon as the witness on this very night. Even as a ghost, I will never forgive you. I will haunt you and make sure that you will never be happy even for a single day!” she suddenly swore, her tone filled with solemness, even Adolf was taken aback.

[I suddenly have a bad feeling! End her quickly!] Adolf’s tone was filled with urging.

“You!” he pointed angrily at her as he took several steps forward but she didn’t even budge from the spot but added as she gloomily looked at him, “You killed me today, Hilary. Not just me, but …..” suddenly she didn’t want to tell the bastard that she was carrying his children. He wasn’t worth it.

She took a deep breath as she felt him coming closer and continued, “I will never let you go! I will haunt you and make you experience the loss, despair, and heartbreak and make sure you live in eternal misery!” her voice becoming louder and eerier with each word she spoke.

As Hilary was a few feet near her, Elowyn suddenly mustered her strength and raised her hands to her face and that small move forced him to stop for a moment, curious about what she wanted to do. In his hand, a bloodied dagger, still dripping her blood.

Elowyn parted her hair, revealing her ghastly looking face, devoid of any blood, her eyes were bloodshot and the love that used to be contained there was no more. Only hatred and loathing remained here.

Suddenly that realization made Hilary feel discomfort. He wasn’t used to seeing that at all.

Elowyn didn’t know what he was thinking about, but she knew that her time was nearing. There was no way she was going to die without telling Hilary these words. After all, he should at least once experience the bitterness of being told such cruel words.

So Hilary, who was still stunned about the lack of love in Elowyn’s eyes, suddenly felt a piercing pain cutting through his heart and an agonizing scream from Adolf as Elowyn coldly said to him, “Cough ….. I Elowyn Gregory reject you Hilary Jacobs as my mate, lover and father of my children. Such a cold and heartless man, you don’t deserve to be tied to my name even in death. It was my misfortune that I met you, saved you when you were despairing, fell for you and risked everything for you.

It was my foolishness that thought that one day you would be moved by my feelings and that you were different from other men out there.

Today, you have shown me how cruel you men could be. Cough ….. but don’t worry, you will pay for the pain that you have caused me. In this life and any other lifetimes that will come, I will avenge myself and make sure that you will never have a moment of peace.

This very moment, using the blood of my children, you brutally murdered. I swear that I Elowyn will haunt you and you, Hilary, shall never have happiness. May the deities above hear my vow!” her every remark so piercing, he could taste the metallic taste on his tongue.

He clutched his chest, his eyes nearly bulging out because of the pain as the hand with the dagger stretched towards her, but she merely laughed at him hysterically, blood streaming down her chin from her mouth before letting go, a smirk on her face.

“No! don’t!” Hilary called in anguish as he ran to grab her, but he missed.

[Mate!] Adolf’s anguished voice yelled in his mind, leaving Hilary blank as he stood foolishly, watching her as she fell down so fast, he could still hear her laughing hysterically as she continued to curse him.

“You will never know peace, Hilary. Even if you didn’t want me, then what about the children? They were innocent!” when he heard that, he felt his bile rising and started vomiting on the side. The dagger in his hand felt very hot. He unconsciously threw it away, thus following Elowyn down the cliff.

[She was carrying our pups! How didn’t I know? How …. Why ….] Adolf was going crazy and so was Hilary.

But Elowyn’s voice could still be heard.

“We will haunt you, Hilary. You, Veda, the Whitecrest pack. Everyone and everything!” and that was the last of her voice he heard before a ‘paa’ sound rang in his ears and her voice died down.

‘What did I do?’ he slumped at the edge of the cliff, with hands on his head, blood dripping from his lips as he felt the tether, he never knew existed get ruthlessly cut and the endless howling and growling from Adolf overwhelming him.

Drip. Drop.

[Haha, we killed our second chance mate! Haha!]

The man and wolf could only shed tears of regret knowing that she was dead.

It was deemed to be an unforgettable night and the beginning of unending terror.

“Oh~ what do we have here?” a croaking voice sounded in the eerie night, as a white figure floated with the river currents. The scene was quite conspicuous.

Standing on the river bank, with arms behind the back, and donning a dark cloak which mixed well with the dark night. The figure watched interestingly as that poor little thing floated, the white dress illuminated by the moonlight dyed red despite being in the water.

With a glance, the person could tell what was happening.

‘Should I save or not save?’ the person thought playfully, watching as the person floated further.

The person was lost in thought for a while and the floating figure never stopped, either. After a while, as the figure was about to leave the view, the person cussed out loud. “Damn! Blame me for coming here. Since I am here, I can’t let the poor thing die like that, right?”

As soon as that was said, the cloaked figure suddenly vanished from the river bank before appearing in the same place a few seconds later. This time, with the person who was floating earlier in the river.

“Tsk, tsk. If I had been late, this kind soul would be gone!” suddenly a female voice sounded from the cloaked figure, revealing the figure’s gender.

The cloaked woman took large strides away from the river bank while holding the dying person in her arms as if she weighed nothing.

With each step that she took, the wind blew and covered her tracks. It was as if she was never there and the endless howls in the air didn’t seem to faze her at all.

The woman’s strides were very long, and she was very fast in her walk. It wasn’t long before she covered a large area.

Beyond the river was a thick and lush forest. The trees were thick and very intertwined. It was difficult to find a road and yet as the woman walked in such a forest, the trees parted ways for her before returning to normalcy.

After a while, a beautiful waterfall came into view. The place looked very serene and peaceful. It was the kind of place where one would meditate and find Zen without fail.

“Kayden!” she called out to him, and he nodded at her.Earlier, the Alpha had told her repeatedly to call him by his name without the title. Although she felt uncomfortable at first, after exchanging words a few more times, she found herself calling him like that.Perhaps she adapted pretty well because she used to call Hilary by his name as well. Especially when they were alone.Anyway, that wasn’t the crux of the matter right now. She wasn’t with Hilary anymore but with Kayden.[Doesn’t she look beautiful?] Caesar shamelessly boasted as he groomed himself, and Kayden found himself taking several sneakier glances at Elowyn. She wasn’t wearing any fancy clothes, yet she looked ethereal. His heart couldn’t help but pound.‘Beautiful!’“Um ….. um,” but that wonderful moment was disrupted when Letty cleared her throat exaggeratedly, making Elowyn’s fa

The fear, doubt and many other thoughts. He was lost, but one by one, meeting them made his life pretty much easier. They have been togethe

Elowyn was in a great mood as she looked at the villa she finally settled on after checking the other villas that were currently not in use.To think that Alpha Kayden could build so many villas for his pack members to live in, she could see the love he has for his family, and that alone made her like the man even more.Coming to the Aynor pack, Elowyn always knew that her stay was guaranteed. After all, Hazel had settled everything for her. But in that moment when she was speaking with the Alpha, she couldn’t help but want to do something for herself. She alone understood how badly she wanted this chance. She knew that the Alpha didn’t have any reason to train her or be involved with this mess. That’s why she went down on her knees to beg him for this chance. She wanted him to know her earnestness. Her looks can be deceiving, and that could be deadly. What if no one takes her seriously or simply assumes that she is delicate and couldn&r

“I will have your identification problem solved before the end of the week. So, I might need your details, if you don’t mind.”Elowyn readily gave them. she didn’t even need to give false information at all. however, she couldn’t help but remind him of something.“I am not sure how you will find my name written in the system. If it’s not deceased, then please just have my previous identification reissued, but if it comes out as deceased, then please use Gardner instead of Gregory as my last name,” she firmly said, taking into account that Hilary might have declared her dead. After all, she truly died in some sense that night.Kayden was curious when he heard that. After all, how could a living person be announced dead all of a sudden? So, he asked her directly.“Do you mind telling me about what happened to you? Why do you need to hide and what you want to achieve? You can choose not to say anyt

However, he lives his life, which was on him and not her.So, why fuss? With that in mind, her eyes softened as a smile appeared on her face.Unknown to her, her changes were all captured by Kayden. In fact, her scent shocked him. From being sweet to sour suddenly. It was sour briefly and in that short moment, he could sense this strong aversion towards him that he couldn’t understand. Not understanding what her mind was thinking, the sourness vanished, replaced by the sweetness that got him enchanted. If only he could read her mind, then wouldn’t he be stressed?Unfortunately, there was no way to solve this problem. Back to the present, after Elowyn ate her food, she began to focus on Linda.“Where are we going. What is it called?”“Aynor town. It’s a private small town with a reasonable number of residents,” Linda answered cautiously.Elowyn’s eyes lit up when she heard that. She wasn’t particularly fond of bustling places. They made her feel socially awkward. She was more used to staying in secluded places. Perhaps she was influenced by her mother, who took her to stay in the woods for years before she found Hilary, who took her to stay with his pack, which resided in the woods as well.Due to their uniqueness, it was rare for packs to live amongst normal human beings. They might mingle and work with them, but to live amongst them, that would mean increasing the risk of being found out. There weren’t many people who knew about the supernatural. Whilst the leaders knew about it, normal humans had no clue. To avo
