MasukDrip. Drop. Drip. Drop.
Tears fell down her cheeks to the ground as she sobbed, beating her chest in frustration.
“You ….. why did you do this to me? How could he make me feel so much despair and then write me like this? Would like this? Why?” she was so emotional as she thought why Hilary had to go in such a roundabout way to be with her.
He could have used another method to send her away, but he just had to do that. Was it because of Veda? or was it due to the elders?
Who threatened him and made him turn his back on her?
All kinds of thoughts were swirling in her mind, the suffocating sensation not going away in the process.
She cried for a while until her head was aching before she finally stopped.
She caressed the note intimately before tucking it back into the bag. After that, she picked up a water bottle from the bag and a towel. She wiped her face, hands and legs. Although it wasn’t the perfect bath, there was no water she could use to take a full bath.
Once she was done, she removed the dirty wedding gown and underwear. She stashed that in the other pocket of the bag before picking fresh underwear and a plain white dress.
She dolled herself hurriedly not wanting to keep him waiting. Once she was done, she leaned the bag against the tree and took deep breaths looking in the direction of the cliff.
‘I am coming my love!’ she cheerfully exclaimed, all despair getting replaced by immense happiness.
Her dream was about to become true and she didn’t have to worry about taking care of the children on her own.
As long as she and the father were together, she didn’t mind being labeled as a mistress. She had spent three years to reach this very moment. Moreover, with buns in the oven, she needed Hilary badly. So much more than she thought.
After calming her mind down, she started walking in the direction of the cliff, maneuvering her way between trees without getting lost.
She didn’t know how long it took but without her knowing, she could see the gorge just a distance away.
Not only that, but the familiar back of the man she loved more than life itself, was there.
“Hilary!” she called out excitedly as she ran towards him like a kindergarten and the man turned around, his face quite visible in the dark, making her heart flutter.
Her eyes sparkled as she continued to run towards him and he opened his arms for her, a smile on his face, she felt smitten and her heart raced wildly as she threw her wronged self in his arms.
Feeling emotional as her arms hooked around his neck, she confessed unconsciously, “I miss_” However, before she could finish the sentence, her mind unconscionably screamed, ‘pain!’ as the ‘puchi’ sounds repeatedly rang in her ears and the piercing pain stabbed through her belly, she was frozen in place as she looked at the man who was sinisterly and coldly looking at her as his right hand moved swiftly in a stabbing motion.
“You … cough,” she coughed out blood, her hands falling off his neck, shock in her eyes as she found the whole thing unreal.
However, Hilary merely clicked his tongue as he plunged the sharp object in his hand deeper into her belly making her cough harder.
When she realized what was happening, she unconsciously clutched her belly as she mumbled, her tone filled with pleading, “H-Hilary …. Pl-please don’t!” but her voice was simply low, Hilary pretended as if he wasn’t hearing it.
Instead, he pulled her hands roughly from her stomach and she saw red.
Blood was slipping through her fingers, and her palms were bloodied. It suddenly dawned on her. Hilary lured her here to kill her.
She looked at the man, her body losing strength from the stabbing and losing blood and suddenly laughed hysterically, “Haha, you murderer! You killed us! You killed us! I will never forgive you!” her eyes bloodied red as she looked at Hilary who had nothing but murderous thoughts written all over his face, she knew that she wasn’t going to survive at all.
She felt sorry for her children. If only … if only ……
“Tche! A murderer! So, what if I am? For Veda and our pups, I will never allow such a filthy person to continue living. Blame yourself for having thoughts that you shouldn’t have!” his disdainful voice sounded in her ears. She couldn’t believe what he was saying.
However, thinking about the situation that she was in, she couldn’t help but laugh mockingly at herself.
What was the point of not believing when she was about to die? He was so bold to stab the belly carrying his children for another woman. So, what wasn’t unbelievable?
However, she didn’t want to let him off easily like that just because she was going to die one way or the other.
She glared hatefully at him as she clutched her belly and spat at him on the face, a mixture of saliva and blood flying to his face.
Hilary gnashed his teeth as he wiped the filth from his face and she could tell that he was so angry but so what?
“Hilary …. Cough …. You …. You will regret this very moment! I swear!” she weakly cursed as she staggered, taking several steps towards him but he evaded her, giving her way to walk towards the cliff.
Hilary looked at her bloodied dress and felt discomfort but resolution filled him as he thought about how Veda cried pitifully earlier.
“Do you think that if you say that, I will let you go?” he asked coldly, his tone filled with mocking as he slowly followed her, curious about what she wanted to do.
She couldn’t run away from him at all. Two options were remaining for her. Either she threw herself off the cliff or she waited patiently for him to clean her up. So, he wasn’t worried.
He was curious about what her last words would be. After all, she was still someone he spent three years with. He was sentimental.
“Haha,” Elowyn laughed heartily, coughing blood at the same time as she continued to drag her feet until she was standing at the edge of the cliff before turning around to face Hilary.
It was dark, but the moonlight was shining brightly on the two.
With the white dress she was wearing, that had been dyed red with the blood oozing from her belly. Elowyn looked like a female ghost from the horror movies. Her hair was scattered around her face. She looked quite scary but not for Hilary.
Elowyn didn’t have any strength to part her hair to look presentable. She looked at Hilary, her murderer, their murderer in between hair strands and burst into another round of hysterical laughing, clutching her painful belly in the process. Tears streamed down her cheeks, pain piercing her heart. It was so painful.
She could feel the warm blood streaming down her legs and that was the sign she needed to know that the children were gone, under the cruel hands of their father.
Kayden didn’t know what Elowyn was thinking about but whatever it was, he was happy to see her acquiescing so fast without causing a scene. He gently and reluctantly withdrew his hands wrapping around her and flicked her nose gently, “You said so. Don’t you dare go back on your words!”Elowyn rolled her eyes at him and snorted, “when have I ever ate my words?” shamelessly saying something that made Kayden look at her speechlessly.Should he start counting? He inwardly shook his head against that. Who knows how she will blow up if he does so?In the end, he shamelessly agreed to her words. “You never lie! I trust you!”And Elowyn beamed brightly at hearing that. She patted his shoulder and shamelessly said, “it’s good that you know that,” before taking the flowers from him which he gently let go before hearing her saying, “let’s go. The bags are all yours!&rd
Elowyn finished the rest of the flight without bothering Karl. She even ignored the old ancestor who was clamoring her to engage with him. Since the man didn’t want to talk, why should she lower herself to force matters. If they are fated, then they would meet but when that happens, she will see who is desperate. With that attitude, she spent the rest of her flight with her eyes closed. During the camping trip, she didn’t sleep properly and she would need to make up for her lack of sleep in the future. She only opened her eyes when the plane was about to land.In the next twenty minutes or so, Elowyn spent that time going through the checks and whatnot before she could finally leave. She knew that Kayden was waiting for her. Recalling the deep conversations, she had with her friends and the ancestor regarding him, she was suddenly looking forward to meeting him again. She kind of missed him, the man who has always been giving without as
Apart from exchanging a greeting earlier upon seated, the two of them didn’t exchange another word. What would be special about this man for her ancestor to encourage her to take notice of the other?Perhaps, her gaze was a bit strong and couldn’t be ignored, that as soon as her gaze lingered a bit more on the neighbor, he turned his head and the two of them were looking at each other. However, Elowyn had developed a rather thick skin and wasn’t one to be embarrassed easily. So, when she was caught looking, instead of feeling embarrassed, a smile blossomed on her face, revealing two rows of white and straight teeth.“I hope that I am not disturbing you. I just can’t help myself but have an urge to talk to you. Will you mind having a chat? That’s if you are free of course!” she rambled naturally, not minding how her words would appear to the neighbor.Karl never thought that he would find himself in such a s
So, for years, she acted ignorantly while making sure that he knows that she was there and now it’s been three years, and Bryssa’s reminder struck her deep. She could no longer continue to act pretend and ignorant. There was a limit to one’s patience. Moreover, with her attending the family banquets and being treated so well with his family, wasn’t that enough for her to understand that this time she wasn’t standing alone but have an army standing behind her.It was rare to be liked by in-laws and yet his family was very warm and nice to her.Perhaps, she should lower her defenses and try to let him in. Who knows, things might really turn out differently with all worries for nothing.Seeing her lost in her thoughts, Lizzy chirped in.“Dear, just give it a try. He is a good catch, handsome and there are so many ladies out there who likes him but he doesn’t give them a single glance. If it doesn’t work,
The three best friends first returned the camper van at the rental offices, before taking a taxi to the hotel where they were going to rest for a while as they freshened up so that they will depart this place and start planning for the future.Inside the hotel, the girls naturally packed their bags seamlessly, took nice and warm showers until they were feeling very much alive. They groomed themselves, and as Elowyn and Lizzy were applying makeup with Bryssa playing on her phone while keeping an eye on the time, they were busy chatting animatedly.“Do you think that Kayden will be waiting for you at the airport?”“Umph! If he doesn’t wait for me, then who else will he wait for?” Elowyn snorted as she opened her eyes wide, holding a mascara in hand.Bryssa snickered when she heard that and teasingly asked, “Then, when are you planning on making things official? You wouldn’t want to see any lady snatching that
“And to prepare a welcoming gift for my dear younger sisters, I need to make some improvisations.”The man looked excited when he heard that and asked in a lowered voice, “what do you want to be done?”Sara’s lips curled upwards as she thought of those three childish girls and said, “I don’t know how they always know where the shipment is. Perhaps there is a traitor amongst us who communicates with them or with the real people behind these sabotages. Whatever reasons are there, this time, I will have the shipment split into three. Wherever its attacked, I will find that bastard traitor and cut off his head and offer it to our loyal comrades who died unjustly!” her tone filled with determination and unwavering perseverance. The man trembled with excitement and his deep loyalty towards Sara made him look forward to the new plan that she was about to execute.“Should we keep an eye on the girls, then? Just in cas
“Haha, sis, how can you be envious of that?” Elowyn suddenly emerged from the camper van laughing heartily, her eyes squinted into crescents.Upon spotting her, Sara chuckled as she shook her head knowing that the girls might not understand her, but she wasn’t eager to ex
“You …..” the woman stuttered as she turned her head mechanically, only to find herself looking at a woman she recognized fully well. What was she doing here? The woman remembered clearly how early that day she even met with this woman and even had a great c
Bryssa and Lizzy both looked unwell after listening to Elowyn’s vision. They both couldn’t believe that the cruelty was even upgrading and this time, it was all because of them.If it weren’t for them, then these people might have faced the fate of being sold but not suff
“Don’t worry, sis. We will think seriously about it.”“How about we give you the answer in the morning before we leave?”Sara’s eyes lit up when she heard that and beamingly looked at Elowyn saying, “no matter the answer, just remember not t
