Drip. Drop. Drip. Drop.

Tears fell down her cheeks to the ground as she sobbed, beating her chest in frustration.

“You ….. why did you do this to me? How could he make me feel so much despair and then write me like this? Would like this? Why?” she was so emotional as she thought why Hilary had to go in such a roundabout way to be with her.

He could have used another method to send her away, but he just had to do that. Was it because of Veda? or was it due to the elders?

Who threatened him and made him turn his back on her?

All kinds of thoughts were swirling in her mind, the suffocating sensation not going away in the process.

She cried for a while until her head was aching before she finally stopped.

She caressed the note intimately before tucking it back into the bag. After that, she picked up a water bottle from the bag and a towel. She wiped her face, hands and legs. Although it wasn’t the perfect bath, there was no water she could use to take a full bath.

Once she was done, she removed the dirty wedding gown and underwear. She stashed that in the other pocket of the bag before picking fresh underwear and a plain white dress.

She dolled herself hurriedly not wanting to keep him waiting. Once she was done, she leaned the bag against the tree and took deep breaths looking in the direction of the cliff.

‘I am coming my love!’ she cheerfully exclaimed, all despair getting replaced by immense happiness.

Her dream was about to become true and she didn’t have to worry about taking care of the children on her own.

As long as she and the father were together, she didn’t mind being labeled as a mistress. She had spent three years to reach this very moment. Moreover, with buns in the oven, she needed Hilary badly. So much more than she thought.

After calming her mind down, she started walking in the direction of the cliff, maneuvering her way between trees without getting lost.

She didn’t know how long it took but without her knowing, she could see the gorge just a distance away.

Not only that, but the familiar back of the man she loved more than life itself, was there.

“Hilary!” she called out excitedly as she ran towards him like a kindergarten and the man turned around, his face quite visible in the dark, making her heart flutter.

Her eyes sparkled as she continued to run towards him and he opened his arms for her, a smile on his face, she felt smitten and her heart raced wildly as she threw her wronged self in his arms.

Feeling emotional as her arms hooked around his neck, she confessed unconsciously, “I miss_” However, before she could finish the sentence, her mind unconscionably screamed, ‘pain!’ as the ‘puchi’ sounds repeatedly rang in her ears and the piercing pain stabbed through her belly, she was frozen in place as she looked at the man who was sinisterly and coldly looking at her as his right hand moved swiftly in a stabbing motion.

“You … cough,” she coughed out blood, her hands falling off his neck, shock in her eyes as she found the whole thing unreal.

However, Hilary merely clicked his tongue as he plunged the sharp object in his hand deeper into her belly making her cough harder.

When she realized what was happening, she unconsciously clutched her belly as she mumbled, her tone filled with pleading, “H-Hilary …. Pl-please don’t!” but her voice was simply low, Hilary pretended as if he wasn’t hearing it.

Instead, he pulled her hands roughly from her stomach and she saw red.

Blood was slipping through her fingers, and her palms were bloodied. It suddenly dawned on her. Hilary lured her here to kill her.

She looked at the man, her body losing strength from the stabbing and losing blood and suddenly laughed hysterically, “Haha, you murderer! You killed us! You killed us! I will never forgive you!” her eyes bloodied red as she looked at Hilary who had nothing but murderous thoughts written all over his face, she knew that she wasn’t going to survive at all.

She felt sorry for her children. If only … if only ……

“Tche! A murderer! So, what if I am? For Veda and our pups, I will never allow such a filthy person to continue living. Blame yourself for having thoughts that you shouldn’t have!” his disdainful voice sounded in her ears. She couldn’t believe what he was saying.

However, thinking about the situation that she was in, she couldn’t help but laugh mockingly at herself.

What was the point of not believing when she was about to die? He was so bold to stab the belly carrying his children for another woman. So, what wasn’t unbelievable?

However, she didn’t want to let him off easily like that just because she was going to die one way or the other.

She glared hatefully at him as she clutched her belly and spat at him on the face, a mixture of saliva and blood flying to his face.

Hilary gnashed his teeth as he wiped the filth from his face and she could tell that he was so angry but so what?

“Hilary …. Cough …. You …. You will regret this very moment! I swear!” she weakly cursed as she staggered, taking several steps towards him but he evaded her, giving her way to walk towards the cliff.

Hilary looked at her bloodied dress and felt discomfort but resolution filled him as he thought about how Veda cried pitifully earlier.

“Do you think that if you say that, I will let you go?” he asked coldly, his tone filled with mocking as he slowly followed her, curious about what she wanted to do.

She couldn’t run away from him at all. Two options were remaining for her. Either she threw herself off the cliff or she waited patiently for him to clean her up. So, he wasn’t worried.

He was curious about what her last words would be. After all, she was still someone he spent three years with. He was sentimental.

“Haha,” Elowyn laughed heartily, coughing blood at the same time as she continued to drag her feet until she was standing at the edge of the cliff before turning around to face Hilary.

It was dark, but the moonlight was shining brightly on the two.

With the white dress she was wearing, that had been dyed red with the blood oozing from her belly. Elowyn looked like a female ghost from the horror movies. Her hair was scattered around her face. She looked quite scary but not for Hilary.

Elowyn didn’t have any strength to part her hair to look presentable. She looked at Hilary, her murderer, their murderer in between hair strands and burst into another round of hysterical laughing, clutching her painful belly in the process. Tears streamed down her cheeks, pain piercing her heart. It was so painful.

She could feel the warm blood streaming down her legs and that was the sign she needed to know that the children were gone, under the cruel hands of their father.
